This was a captivating tale of missing children told from different perspectives. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Many thanks to HarperCollins UK and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

This was both an intriguing novel due to the pace and lack of enough info to know where it was going and had a great storyline with great characters. Although it was a little predictable it didn’t spoil it for me as I was hooked and could wait to find out who the antagonist was.
I’ll definitely be reading the authors other books.

Easy to read and gripping from the very start. I've read a few books from the author and they certainly know how to write a suspenseful read that keeps you turning the pages.

This is the third book I’ve read from this author and it’s definitely my favourite. Gripping from the offset, author Jackie Kabler has created a suspenseful thriller that makes you want to keep turning the pages to discover who or what is behind the disappearance.

The writing style is fluid and easy to read and despite the plot being told from multiple points of view, it’s surprisingly easy to keep track of who is who.

I like the way the tension is built up in the first half of the book when we discover that more than one character has reason to believe their secret could be the one responsible, before the careful reveal of their individual stories.

It’s reassuring to know fairly early on that the children are safe and the chapters written from ‘the Bunker’ as it becomes known, depict wonderfully just how resilient, resourceful and even insightful little ones can be when faced with adversity.

Definitely one to add to your ‘to-be-read’ list!

With thanks to the author, Rachel at Random Resources and One More Chapter for the opportunity to participate in the tour.

Thank you to NetGalley and publishers for this ebook

The Vanishing of Class 3B had me gripped. It was fast paced and the twists and turns had me pouring over the pages to find out what was happening next.
The writing was full of richness and played well to the mystery, the multiple povs give a sense of understanding to all characters.
This was a thrilling fast paced psychology thriller that held my attention to the end.

This was a corker of a read. Fast paced, intriguing and a whole cast of characters some of whom you’ll love to hate! This is how you do a psychological thriller novel! Personally I would have loved one more twist which to me had been brilliantly set up involving the psychologist and a certain tv show. I won’t say any more as I don’t want to give anything away but that’s basically why it lost a star for me, that and an ending that was a little too neatly tied up. I will definitely look out for and read more by this author.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher an author for an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my own honest review.

This book was so fast paced and hard to put down. I had so much fun trying to figure out who was behind the disappearance of the bus, it kept me guessing until the very end.

I absolutely love multiple POV books so I really enjoyed this once I got to grips with it. The police procedural slash mystery suspense is definitely an attention grab.

I have read books by Jackie before and really enjoy her writing. There were some aspects that I didn't enjoy as much, such as things being left very vague/open at the end and the ending wasn't my favourite. I think it could have been done slightly better.

3.5 stars

This was a mostly enjoyable but predictable read I did love the initial mystery which is what first grabbed my attention and sold me on reading this. There’s just something about a whole bus of primary school children just vanishing into thin air that equally repels and entices it’s definitely every parent's worst nightmare including mine. So class 3b head off on a school trip to a local wildlife park only to fail to return on schedule all 10 primary-age children plus 4 teachers have seemingly vanished into thin air. This is then told from multiple viewpoints as the parents some of them quite high/profile experience all of the fear and uncertainty whilst also wrestling with many skeletons and demons in their personal closets.

It’s a police procedural slash mystery suspense and though the subject is definitely an attention grab the story itself was less so. It was quite predictable and I managed to guess extremely early on parts of this it was just so obvious to me. Then when the reasoning behind it all was revealed it was just felt so meh and underwhelming.

This is a decent enough read the writing itself was good but personally I wasn’t overly fond of the style of narration and did feel quite disconnected from it and there were definitely too many POV’s which kept knocking me out of my stride. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of The Vanishing Of Class 3B.

I have enjoyed reading this book very much. It was an interesting and different plot and I will look forward to reading more by this author.
The idea of a whole class vanishing into seemingly into thin air certainly was a great idea for a story and the way the repercussions of the “vanishing” certainly had a knock-on effect in the community.
Very good read

I will have to post feedback with Waterstones

I absolutely loved this book!
As soon as I read the blurb, I knew it was one I needed to read.
I am a huge fan of missing person books, and the school children added an intriguing element for me, being a former primary teacher.
I could NOT put this down. Constant drama, suspicion meant I read this in 2 sittings, which is unheard of for me these days.
The book is written with each chapter taking the reader through the days following the children going missing, with the different times, locations and perspectives of several of the characters keeping the reader turning the pages.
Brilliant.

Having read and enjoyed The Murder List by Jackie Kabler, I jumped at the chance to join the blog tour and review her new book.

Well this story is every parent’s nightmare. A group of young children go on a day trip from school with their teachers and don’t return. They appear to have vanished into thin air. Unfortunately their brand new minibus developed a fault the morning of the trip, and they had to rent an old minibus from the local taxi company which meant it could not be tracked. The teacher’s phones were all going straight to voicemail.

The concerned parents persuade the head teacher to involve the police.

The tension builds and builds as the police begin to investigate and begin to suspect parents, who in turn begin to reveal long hidden secrets to each other.

An engrossing read, and I’m so glad I no longer have children of school age going on trips! This one hooks you immediately, the pace is spot on, the atmosphere is electric, and that ending!

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the author for the opportunity to read a complimentary copy of this book in return for a review based uypon my honest opinion.

This was a great beach read, I was hooked right from the start when a van full of children and teachers goes off on an excursion and do not return. For quite some time, there is no sign of the van nor any of the children or adults. Some of the parents of the missing children are quite wealthy, so it is assumed it is a ransom kidnapping. Finally the ransom note comes in but alludes to a secret of one or more of the parents being exposed if the payment is not made as requested. The police in charge of the matter are trying to get to the bottom of who took the children and what parent has a secret and what it is; the parents have formed a chat group and are trying to decide if they can arrange the money for payment.

This book had a good stroyline overall, but I found the reasoning for the kidnap wasn't what i thought it was going to be and felt a little let down by that. All in all, well worth a read.

Oo so I was drawn to this book by the blurb and I'm glad I found it on netgalley because man I couldn't put it down at all. I highly recommend it. Already told a few people that they need to read this book. Might reread this book later on in the year.

Overall, I enjoyed the book, an entertaining read and fast paced. However, I did think the ending was a bit rushed. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was my 3rd thriller from Jackie Kabler and really enjoyed this one. I thought the pacing was excellent and my attention was held from start to finish. The character development was pretty good and everyone had distinct personalities and voices so it was easy to keep the large cast of characters straight. I found a lot of them to be very interesting and would have loved for their secrets to be expanded upon.
I was totally thrown by the final reveals and did not see most of them coming. I thought one was predictable due to a lot of intentional foreshadowing but at that point everything had been revealed so it wasn't disappointing at all.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A group of school children out on a field trip are kidnapped and the terms for release include money and a confession of their darkest secrets. Just which one of the parents has a secret devastating enough to warrant the abduction of the kids.
This story is full of misdirection, twists and turns which will keep you gripped in it's hold till the final page, where the last twist will reveal itself. This was a very quick read for me, as I could not stray far from the book without running back for more. Although some of the reveals are predictable there are some that are surprising and will make you catch your breath. The story focuses more on the parents, children and abductors and less on the actual police investigation, but that just makes more room for all the dirty secrets to surface.
I've enjoyed past Jackie Kabler books immensely and for that she has earned an automatic spot on my TBR list and will be a recommendation to friends and family in the future.

I have to be careful what I say here, as I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I was a bit baffled by some of the science at the heart of this plot – it didn’t quite work how I always thought these things did and Google was no help at all in enlightening me. Still, I’m not an expert so maybe that was just a ‘me’ thing!

Implausible biology aside, this is a really gripping police investigation/domestic thriller. A class of children and their teachers have vanished and the investigation quickly narrows down to a small group of parents who may be suspiciously involved – is one of them being blackmailed for ransom money due to dark secrets they are trying to hide?

I was absolutely hooked on trying to work out which of the suspects’ secrets might be relevant to the disappearance and which are about other things (mainly affair-related!). The perspectives hopped between parents Eldon, Claire, Reynold, Ben and the police investigators, and the author does a great job balancing what is revealed while we are in the various viewpoints.

It was a little bit frustrating how inept the police investigation turned out to be. They had no clues or suspects really and were baffled until someone eventually told them exactly who, what and where – incompetence to the point of unbelievability! And why on earth would they let a parent/suspect go alone to negotiate with potentially armed kidnappers who have already killed someone?!

So, pretty far-fetched in places but still a fun and gripping thriller. If you can take it all with a huge pinch of salt and suspend your disbelief then it is an enjoyable, easy read.

Well… mostly easy – reading as a parent, I had acid stomach and adrenaline burn throughout!

I LOVED this book!!

Utterly terrifying premise, families waving off their kids on a school trip, and await their return at the school gates at the end of the day....they wait....and wait!! This is every parents worst nightmare, and emotions are heightened as the police investigate this mystery..

This is a story of blackmail, secrets and deception. It is SO well executed. I enjoyed this book so much ~I didn't want it to end! Now I have finished it will be a hard act to follow.

I 100% believe this book will not disappoint. seriously readers, don't walk, RUN to purchase this!!

My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an advance copy.

I really enjoyed the start of the book, such a tense start, I did find that my interest waned in parts, which were mainly around the parents, who I wasn’t a fan off.

I did like the parts with the children and how the story came together at the end.

With a missing bus of children who have rich parents hiding secrets, this should have been a hit. The set up of characters was a bit dragged out in my opinion. I also could not connect with any of the characters. This just wasn't for me.
