Unfortunately, the writing felt a little juvenile and disjointed; it also failed in bringing me into the story and making me feel for the characters and their plight.

Doing a clean-up of NetGalley and any long-lingering non-feedback titles! Apologies for never getting to read this; don't even think I downloaded it in time. Thanks though!

I was intrigued by the premise of this book and decided to read it through. I did not love it but found it interesting.
Many thanks to HyperVerse Books and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Ok, this wasn't good. At all. I had a hard time finish the novel in the first place but I got through it, because that's who I am.

This is a bit of a wierd novel and when you think you know what you are reading, you are not. Maybe I wasn't paying attention when I read the synopsis but this just wasn't for me. I couldn't feel the characters and had a hard time even remember what I read.

Unfortunately, this book was not for me. My first attempt at reading it I DNF it. I am sorry this attempt was no better. Thank you Netgalley for providing the copy for me to read.

Bloodlight captured my attention because a large part of it hit home for my family. My son too is a minority in a world of little diversity at his high school. Much like the main character, my son too plays sports and will very often be the only minority not only on his team but the opposing teams as well. This novel will be intriguing and will hold the interest of any young adult in the same predicament. Great read!
