I’ve loved reading the words from Katie Davis-Majors since I read her first book “Kisses from Katie”. She writes with such sincerity and joy. She is a lover of Jesus & by reading her words you can tell she is someone who sits at His feet often.

This book was beautifully written. It’s applicable for any season you are in, but especially a season of feeling mundane, anxious, stuck or just needing some wisdom from a sister in Christ. The chapters are very practical and encouraging. It’s laced with scripture throughout and many Bible stories to help illustrate what she is trying to share.

Safe all Along, was a book I’ll probably read again & will recommend it to any friend that needs to just feel joyful again.

“The Bible and the entire universe begin with God’s life-giving peace. He comes near to chaos and disorder and speaks light into the dark, peace and order into a chaotic void, and life into His creation. He reverses disorder and brings about the whole world, weaving ultimate tranquility and beauty into every aspect of its perfection.”

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you WaterBrook Multnomah, Katie Davis- Majors and Netgally for this book.

I honestly would google Katie Davis Majors' name to see if a new book was going to be released. So when this came through as a NetGalley approved title, I was over the moon excited.
I read Kisses from Katie fairly close to its original release date. I am around four years older than Katie. I do not know if it is a generational thing, but I have enjoyed everything I have read by her. When her second book, Daring to Hope was released, I once again really responded to the title.
Reading Safe All Along caused me to think back and reflect on my life in a way I was not expecting. I thought about Katie and her growth over the course of the three titles. And I thought about myself.
I was originally surprised that there did not seem to be as much detail in the story about her personal life and the life of her family. But as I continued reading, I came to realize why this was. This title therefore strays from the autobiographical appeal of the first two titles, but it is refreshing in it's own way. I honestly agreed scripturally with everything she had to say. Which often does not happen.
I thought that the title was written with maturity and humbleness.
I highly recommend this title.

I am so thankful to Multnomah and NetGalley for allowing me to read this title in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third book by Katie Davis Majors (Known for Kisses from Katie and Daring to hope). I have followed her since I heard that she had moved to Uganda and become Mum to a large group of children. I have respected her faith journey so I was excited to see this book being released.

This book has practical exercises and Bible based wisdom. I liked that is relatable - Katie shares struggles that most women (and probably men) can relate to. Katie's life reflects God and she gives glory to Him.

I receive complimentary books for various sources including, Netgalley, Authors, and other such sources. I am not required to write a positive review and have not received compensation.

As a big fan of both Kisses from Katie and Daring to Hope, I was so excited to hear that Katie Majors was writing a new book! Safe All Along exceeded my expectations with its Scripture-based wisdom and practical encouragement. While there wasn't necessarily anything in the book I had never heard before, it shared potent reminders of God's character and promises. It beautifully compiled various passages of Scripture with spiritual disciplines to practice and prompts to reflect upon. I would highly recommend this book for anyone whose circumstances have led them to doubt God's goodness, provision, and trustworthiness; for anyone who struggles with anxiety and a desire to control their own life; and for any young Christians (either young in age or young in their walk with Christ).

Katie is someone whose faith journey I have admired for years--God has truly shown Himself through her ministry, and she clearly gives Him the glory rather than hoarding it for herself in our culture that emphasizes self-glorification. It's actually really encouraging to read about how someone who is such a warrior for Christ faces the same struggles with anxiety, inadequacy, and doubt that I do. Her writing is rooted in the truths of Scripture rather than being reliant upon the flippancy of feelings. She describes the need for peace and then explains several God-ordained practices that help us trust Him and seek His peace rather than trying to control the narrative ourselves. Each discipline was practical and convicting, and I especially loved the chapters on lament and rest.

I only wish that she had told more detailed stories like she did in Kisses from Katie. I often find that the more specific a narrative, the more relatable it is. For example, I don't think she ever really explained why they moved back to the United States other than a string of difficulties.

I’m so thankful that WaterBrook Multnomah allowed me to read the ARC copy, which I received via NetGalley!
