This is the cute romance book of the summer! I absolutely loved this book. I felt that I was there with Tessa, Myles, Roxanne, Lois, Clea and Toby! I kept imagining the beauty of Greece, being on a resort.. seeing all of this unfold. This story just captured my heart. It was different than the other Meghan Quinn books I've read but I truly enjoyed this. I need someone to buy the rights and create a movie asap because this is the chick flick movie that all the girls will love.

A love story of decades long pining, a beautiful Greece oceanside resort, and a war of wills

Tessa is back in Santorini at the resort she has been visiting annually with her family for decades for her twin sister's upcoming wedding. She is there with her sister and their 2 best friends to relax and connect before the wedding guest arrive and the festivities begin. Her sister and her friends have a plan to invoke a friendship contract they made as teenagers and find her love in Greece. It becomes a war of pranks on both side and she secretly teams up with her longtime resort crush Myles to keep up with her friends. They are both dealing with a lot family and personal wise but start to really connect romantically. But nothing is ever easy when family is involved and they may be the reason Tessa and Myles can't find a way to work out.

This was such a fun read. Although there was a lot of angst and roadblocks, the romantic build up was so well written. It had the perfect amount of spice and was so well done as well. The dual perspective really filled out the details of the story. The main characters felt so dynamic, even if the side characters were a bit flat and one sided.

This is a perfect beach read. It’s available in all formats but my favorite is that it’s a Read&Listen on KindleUnlimited. The narration is flawless and the narrators are some of everyones favorites! Lee Samuels & CJ Bloom ❤️🎧

This love story was a long time in the making, they’ve literally been circling each other but not interacting for years. Now that they are interacting, Tessa can’t help but constantly embarrass herself in front of Myles. He wants the family business (the resort Tessa is at for a few weeks) and maybe her, if they can make everyone (Tessa included) realize things could be real.

Available now in all formats. You will laugh and laugh. It’s wonderful.

Meghan Quinn never fails to write a book that makes me laugh and smile, and while Vacation Wars did that at times.......unfortunately this is one book from her that didn't quite hit the spot for me. The first half of the story, I struggled to get sucked into the story like I usually do with her stories. And I think that was due to the ongoing wars between Tessa and her sister and friends. It was slightly funny to me initially, but then it just got cruel and I didn't enjoy how she was being treated by them.

But......as far as the hero and heroine of the story - Myles and Tessa - the friendship and relationship that developed between them was the bright spot of the whole story, as it truly should be. He definitely appreciated her for who she was, quirks and all. When their relationship started to blossom is when I think the book finally got going. I get the wars are part of the premise of the story, but I could have done with less of that and got more of Myles and Tessa together.

A heartwarming romcom to spice up your spring break.

As always we get a lot of heart with our laugh out loud moments.

A bit over the too at some points but still somehow made the story work.

Loved seeing how Myles helped Tessa see herself fully.

I’m unsure about Roxane but that may be own sibling boundary issues.

Still a cute vacation story that just solidified a much needed trip to the romantic Mediterranean coast.

RomCom lovers be ready! This book will have you laughing through the entire thing! This one is full of lots of pranks and over the top behavior while on vacation (hence the Vacation WARS title) But the more it went on, I felt
Like Tessa’s sister was too much of a mean girl and that drove me crazy.

But Tessa and Myles story was so sweet and beautiful and kept me reading because I needed to know how they ended. They knew each other for years and each had crushes on each other but they were too awkward to know how to deal with it. Now they are grown and found their way to each other after faking it for a bit. Myles has to give Tessa the confidence to shine and not stay in her twin sister's shadow. And when she does? It is beautiful!

It was frustrating the way Tessa let her sister get in the way of her HEA but thankful that everything worked out in the end

That first explosive laughter moment that Quinn’s books usually pull from me wasn’t quite as soon in this one, but it wasn’t far after we got going. Wait till you read the part about belly nuzzles, kept me giggling for quite a while! I loved the prologue for how this got started and gave us the background. One thing that always amazes me about her stories is how they are all so different! Even with the awesomeness that each story brings, it doesn’t feel like I’m reading any sort of a repeat of the last book she wrote. Not that I don’t enjoy the familiarity of stories that have the similar feel that I get from my favorite authors, but I just love the way that all of her stories have something different that grabs me and keeps me riveted, even at over 400, sometimes almost 500 page long stories!

In a way there was a part that reminded me of one of the other books by this author when the characters kind of tried long distance, only this kind of was the opposite, more towards the end of the book. And I can’t say too much about that without getting spoilery. This book had tons of back and forth, and as this was supposed to be the weeks leading up to Tessa’s twin sister Roxanne’s wedding, even that part of the story was a lot different from other stories with similar plot points to that. We didn’t quite get all the family stuff like normally is what throws the wrench into all the things. Instead we got a girls trip, somewhat gone wrong as they tried to hold each other, Tessa specifically in this case, to a contract they made as teenagers.

All the things they did to get back at each other were some crazy things. The help that Tessa got from “The Bulge” or Myles, was perfect as well. And Myles had his own family back story, that really complemented the story perfectly, and made all of the puzzles pieces snap together exactly right in the end.

I love this author and was so excited to see I got approved for this book. It really did not disappoint! This book made me laugh and smile all the time.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book as per usual by this author. The usual shenanigans and really awesome characters and side characters. This book builds a great story and world.

So sweet together

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Oh my oh my Tessa and Myles what absolutely fun read that missed nothing. Once you start the book it’s all consuming. The fact that neither had any idea the other was crushing for YEARS was the perfect romantic long romance with awkward and embarrassing moments. The journey to forever was perfect and fun to read and unfold what matters to each other.

The authors writing flawless and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: Prepared for a good time, Tessa is thrilled to spend the weeks before her sister’s wedding at their family’s favorite vacation spot: Santorini. Sandy beaches, stonewashed houses, attractive men—it’s heaven.
But Tessa’s idea of a girls’ trip comes to a screaming halt when her sister thinks it’s high time Tessa finds some love herself. Unfortunately, Tessa forgot about the deal she made back in high school: she has to find her soulmate before her sister’s wedding. Or else.
As she dodges suitors and her sister’s pranks, Tessa finds an ally in the oh-so-dreamy Myles, her childhood crush who just so happens to work at the resort. But Myles is dealing with some family conflict of his own. He’s elated at being reunited with Tessa, but his father’s refusal to acknowledge his interest in the family business and relegating him to only grunt work casts a dark cloud.
As Tessa and Myles help navigate their way through their families’ antics, they begin to realize that their past feelings may have a future if only they can turn their island fantasies into something real.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

As far as I know none of Meghan Quinn’s books have been made into movies/limited series. And I’d like to know why the heck not? (If I’m wrong please correct me!) Books like Runaway Groomsman, and her latest Vacation Wars seem perfectly primed for adaptation. Tessa’s sister is getting married in a few weeks, but first she, her sister and a couple of girlfriends are taking a little vacation. It’s a spot Tessa knows well as her family vacation there every year. This time things are going to be a bit different though, as her sister and friends (all married -well her sister is soon to be anyway) are determined to find Tessa a man. Not exactly thrilled with the prospects from her scheming friends, what’s a girl to do? Well that’s where Myles comes in. He’s the son of the hotel owner, someone she kinda sorta knows since he was there over so many of the years her family visited, though for the last 7 years he’s away in New York. Of course this wouldn’t be a Meghan Quinn novel if there wasn’t tension/attraction there, but it also wouldn’t be a Meghan Quinn novel if there wasn’t more to the story than a simple rom-com. Quinn always adds more, something beyond the enjoyable surface rom-com. And in this case it’s the relationship between Myles and his father. While I enjoyed her previous book (Runaway Groomsman) more, this is still a wonderfully enjoyable story and has everything I’ve come to love and expect from one her novels. I’d like to thank Montlake and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review an eARC of Vacation Wars.

4 When Summer Vacations Lead to Forever Love Stars!

I’ve always wanted to go to Greece and to have one of my favorite authors set her book in this beautiful location just made me love this book that much more. Tessa and Myles have known each other over the years as her family has visited Santorini on many occasions. What neither of them knew was that they were both crushing on each other secretly.

While Tessa is in Greece with her sister and best friends, a pact they made when they were all teens comes to rear its ugly head meaning Tessa needs to get married soon or forfeit that kind of love and I for one was not a fan of this pact because things change as we get older and our outlook changes too… but these girls didn’t seem so keen on letting the “promise” go.. which irritated me to no end. But Tessa comes up with a solution by teaming up with Myles the son of the owner of the resort where all the activities are taking place.

I loved the way Tessa and Myles fit together. Myles is trying to prove to his dad that he can help revitalize their resort and Tessa is sweet and kind and wants to do what she can to help him. And if they can have a romance as well, then it’s a win-win for both of them. But there’s a lot involved with having a romance that may end up being a long-distance one. So many emotional moments are possible with this scenario and are our H/h capable of withstanding the distance when Tessa has to go back home?

This book is filled with sweet and loving moments, friendships that are tested, family dynamics that are difficult at best and every emotion in between. It’s a little bit of a different story than I’ve read before by Ms. Quinn but it hits all the right notes for me as a dedicated reader of all her words!

I went into this book blind, as I do for all MQ books, and for a romcom, only about half of it truly felt like a romance. Don’t get me wrong, there were hints of the mutual pining plot throughout the first half, but for the most part, the romance part took place in the second half. The first half was instead devoted to a battle of siblings and friends that honestly felt like it went a bit too far (okay, more than a bit).

The conniving, sabotaging, and humiliating backstabbing that took place between twin sisters Tessa and Roxanne were AWFUL. I genuinely got secondhand embarrassment from some of their antics and I felt SO bad for Tessa.

With characters you’ll love to hate, a book boyfriend you’ll be obsessed with it, and an ending that helps even out all of the ridiculous pranks, this book is a fun adventure in Greece if you’re looking for a chance to escape for a bit!

While this wasn’t my favorite MQ book, I definitely still enjoyed it :) I’ll always recommend Meghan Quinn for the best romcoms 🥰

Tessa is excited to be in Santorini with her twin sister and two best friends. A fun girls trip is the best way to relax before Roxanne’s wedding….except Tessa’s friends have other plans. Pulling out the contract they’ve honored since high school they deem themselves in charge of Tessa’s love live and are set on finding her soulmate.

Fighting back with pranks, Tessa finds an unexpected ally in her longtime childhood crush Myles (who is deal with family problems of his own). As Tessa and Myles navigate their family issues and spend more time together they find out their past feelings may have a future.

After I read Meghan’s Christmas novella last year, I knew I wanted to read more. Her writing style is just so fun and engaging, I love it! It has the perfect amount of humor and romance with a bit of spice.

The characters were great in this one; Tessa is such a lovable goof and Myles is such a caring gentleman. And then they are even better together, their chemistry and banter were just perfect.

As someone with a sister I found the sibling dynamic to be pretty spot on and it was an interesting aspect the the story.

I am eager to read more of her backlist!

This was an entertaining romcom set in Santorini, Italy that features a LOT of family drama, a slow burn with decades of mutual pining, a 'magic' bottle of perfume twin sisters, a failing boutique hotel and tons of bridesmaid antics.

All of Meghan Quinn's trademark quirky female characters and steamy sex scenes were present in this book but I felt like some of the family stuff took away from the romance for me. Just an okay read that won't be one of my favs by this author. Good on audio narrated by CJ Bloom and Lee Samuels too.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

“Vacation Wars” is a fun, romantic and standalone romance set in Greece that is a summertime read for when you’re by the pool or on the beach.

Tessa’s family has been coming to the same resort in Santorini for years and now she’s back with her sister, Roxanne and two of her closest friends to spend some time together before Roxanne gets married. Everyone is happily attached to a partner but Tessa so the girls make it their mission to find someone for Tessa while in Greece. However, Tessa is not interested because she has been crushing on Myles since they were teenagers. Myles is back at the resort after being in NYC and is determined to keep the resort in the family even when his father is threatening to sell it.

Overall, I liked most parts of this book. Tessa is smart and caring but has always been in the background to her sister who always needs to shine. I loved reading about her growing as a person and finding herself while in Greece. She had gotten so comfortable being in the shadows that she had started to accept it. But crushing on Myles and then finally talking to him and spending time with him, helped her realize that it’s okay to shine. The pranks the friends did to each other were fun at times but I hated how much they pushed Tessa to date. At one point, it just got mean and borderline bullying. But Myles helped her through it all by being a buffer and I liked him so much. Myles loves his family and the resort and I loved how driven he was to work there and keep it in the family. Myles and Tessa are incredibly sweet together and I loved how they formed a friendship first and then moved onto something more. The last few chapters helped redeem the other characters and the epilogue was a sweet ending.

I am a HUGE fan of Meghan Quinn's writing, but Vacation Wars didn't hit right. While I felt the connection between our two MCs, Myles and Tessa, and enjoyed their story - the side characters kind of ruined this book for me.

Tessa and her family have vacationed at the same resort - Anissa's - since she was a kid. She's always had eyes for Myles (who ends up being the owner's son). After years of being in the same place but at the wrong time, Myles and Tessa finally connect while she is in Greece for her twin sister's wedding. However, she forgot one crucial detail from a pact she made in high school - find her soulmate before her sister's wedding or else.

Que the beginning of the "Vacation Wars". While Tessa's twin and best friends try and set her up with suitors - Tessa teams up with Myles to avoid their advances. Pranks are pulled and feelings are hurt. While our heroine wasn't innocent in the prank war, I truly felt like her sister and supposedly "best friends" were downright mean and borderline bullying Tessa.

That's where this book lost me. Vacation Wars had the typical MQ swoon and comedy, but I had the hardest time getting past the side characters and the horrible way they treated Tessa. I normally always recommend books by Meghan Quinn, but I don't know if this story was for me.

Thank you to Netgalley, Montlake, and Meghan Quinn for an ARC of Vacation Wars.

Meghan Quinn is without a doubt the queen of romantic comedy. I will devour every single word that she writes and then beg for more. I just love the way that she writes about love. No matter if that love is between family members, romantic partners, or friends, I can always count on this author’s stories to be filled with so much laughter and heart.

In Vacation Wars, Tessa is celebrating her sister’s upcoming wedding at a resort on the island of Santorini. When Tessa was little, she promised that her sister and friends could help her find her soulmate before her sister’s wedding. When Tessa was little, she had a crush on Myles who happens to work at the resort they are visiting.

This book was so swoony and sweet, but it brought the drama! Meghan Quinn’s banter is always top tier. I loved Myles and Tessa together so much! Tessa was adorably awkward and I loved watching her come out of her shell.

I can’t wait to read this author’s next release!

As always, we are given a banter filled Meghan Quinn book full of laughs, love, and low angst!

Tessa's family has been visiting Greece every summer for as long as she can remember. And every summer she has crushed on the hot lifeguard/The Bulge. But they have never talked.

Now we are in present time and they are in Greece for three weeks because her twin sister Roxane is getting married. The two of them, along with their two best friends, come a week early to enjoy some girl time before Roxane gets married. But Roxane isn't focusing on the wedding; she is focusing on finding Tessa a man because of a friendship contract that the four of them made when they were kids.

While Tessa is doing everything to stop Roxane, she bumps into the hot lifeguard. Myles, and they come up with a plan to stop the Vacation Wars. While doing so, Myles and Tessa get closer and closer and realize that they both have harbored crushes on each other for years. But Myles lives in Greece and Tessa lives in New York. So how will this work?

If you are looking for a low angst, sister battle filled, fun romance book, look no further! Both Myles and Tessa are dealing with issues within their own individual families and I really enjoyed both they both came together and were able to be support systems for each other.

Witty and evocative, Vacation Wars is a true delight! I adored the dynamic between Myles and Tessa, which felt utterly authentic thanks to their history. This story is fundamentally about relationships, be it romantic, familial or friendship, and is a wonderful example of both their complexity and importance. With the added bonus of Meghan Quinn’s trademark quirk, this is a definite must read!
