What a cute book! Highly recommend. I was given this book by net galley and read in audiobook form. The narraters were exactly what I wanted and needed from an audiobook.

I did not read the first book, but I don't feel like I missed anything important to this story. This book is great for anyone who is looking for a light romance. As an Ohioian myself, I did feel like all the Ohio references were a little over done. At some point I was like I get it you're in small town Ohio. But It didn't take away from the story any.
I will definitely be putting the other books in the series on my TBR.

If you're a fan of small town second chance romances check this one out. I like the way that Rob took his time and tried to win Laura back over by being friends first. I thought the dates that Rob took Laura on were interesting and showed that he was thinking and putting effort in which is what I find attractive.
As someone who grew up in a small town it really did give me flashbacks of growing up. I really liked the relationship that Laura had with her circle of girl friends and I also liked the relationship Rob had with his friends. I did think it was a little weird when Rob asked for advice on what to wear and his friend knew his wardrobe and picked out several options. I thought the scene when they were at the Thai restaurant was really funny and can see how Laura's iciness towards Rob began to defrost after spending time with him.

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version. Cute story. I have read another book from this series and enjoyed that one also. I enjoyed the male narrator. The female narrator does a okay job. She just gets annoying after a while due to she sounds like a valley girl for every single female character.
But the story itself. If you are looking for a fast romance read this book is perfect for you. Since it is summer, this novel would be perfect by the poolside or beach.

I find this series to be enjoyable. There is no real surprise as to how it's going to turn out, but the characters are fun and I love the sense of community. I was glad to be back in Bordeaux.
I read this one third due to a NetGalley issue and I will recommend that you read them in order. They can stand alone, but if you are going to read more than one it is difficult to keep track of the characters since the relationships and situations change throughout the series.
My only issue with the series in general is that there is a bit too much repetition of thought. A character will think I can't be with this person for whatever reason and they will repeat that reason again and again throughout the story. It's a bit too heavy handed.
The community this is based in is a very small and gossipy town with a lot of close friends and caring, if overly involved, people. We would all be blessed to have such amazing friends who would always have our backs, know us so well, and give great advice. On a side note, Memaw cracks me up.
In this specific book, there were a few references to the main character, Laura's, inner Lucille Ball and Gordon Ramsey. I understand that they were showing her conflicting thoughts and feelings, but these didn't hit well with me. I listened to the audio and I'm not sure if the narrator just didn't pull them off well, but I would have been happy without them.
Other than the Lucy/Gordon bits, I thought both narrators, Amy McFadden and Will Damron, did a great job. I hope to listen to the rest of the series at some point.
A quick and easy read 3.5★

Savannah Scott's "Battleshipped" is a delightful and lighthearted audiobook that takes listeners on a romantic adventure at sea. The story follows two characters who find themselves thrown together on a cruise ship and discover love in unexpected places. Scott's writing is filled with humor and charm, and the audiobook narration enhances the witty banter and playful interactions between the characters. With its feel-good romance and delightful setting, "Battleshipped" is an audiobook that will leave listeners with a smile on their faces.

I really did not like this book. I found it to be boring and schmaltzy. Some of the dialogue made me cringe. Rob and Laura were both narcissistic and never had any real conversations with the other.

I'm a sucker for a good second chance romance. I loved this story, and I loved the relationship that bloomed between our FMC and MMC. There were some laughs along the way to keep it light and entertaining. Learning to trust again is a hard feat after being hurt so badly, it was a beautiful story of change and redemption and learning to trust.

Cute clean rom-com. I actually liked it quite a bit better than the previous one in the series (Friendshipped). More on the “rom” than the “com” but cute and clean nonetheless. I’m confused by the title…there wasn’t really a big battle. Based on the title, I expected the two MC to hate each other and really word spar throughout the book, but it wasn’t really like that. I almost didn’t get passed the intro chapter when the characters were teens. And I was very much hoping the love interest would not end up being Rob…but alas. Also, I’m not a fan of the miscommunication issues that reside so freely in romance books. While I realize they are common and somewhat realistic, they are just so frustrating and make the characters feel very immature. Regardless, cute and quick read. I very much appreciate that there was no language or sex.

This was my first Savannah Scott's book, and won't be my last. This is the second book in the Getting Shipped Series, a small town romance. Laura and Rob's second chance to love is so sweet and heartwarming. I loved Laura. She is smart, strong, and determined. Rob is enigmatic, and handsome. The supporting characters are great and interesting. The ending is beautiful. Amy McFadden and Will Damron did a great job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. I would love to listen to Friendshipped, Lexi and Trevor's story, the first book in the series. I received a copy of this book through NetGalley, a Dreamscape Media Audio production, for an honest review.

This was Laura and Robs story! A second chance/ enemies sort of trope. Although it’s more like, you hurt me so I’m going to pretend you don’t exist until I think my heart can handle it kind of ‘enemies’. Not the passionate, heated arguments you’d expect. There are a few heated discussions I suppose, but I would have loooved to see it get deeper with their feelings. It felt surface.
I listened to the audiobook of this one. And while there were parts I enjoyed, it felt disconnected from the story. There are two narrators, a man and a woman, and don’t get me wrong, I can’t imagine having to read and put voice to all that is held in not only the story but what the author and all us readers want to experience? It’s not possible. And unfortunately, it just didn’t resonate with me. Namely, for a small town, there were a lot of women’s voices that sounded air headed and snooty. And just took the substance of the characters out for me.
All in all, I just didn’t connect with the story, I did love the ending and think it was sweet but I just wasn’t excited to listen to it.
Laura spends so much time in this story trying to work out whether she can forgive Rob, and I think that there was my problem. It’s conflict at a stand still, and I wanted conflict with passion and romance!
Content: clean
Romance: kissing
Violence: mild
Language: none
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the complimentary audiobook in exchange for a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

This one just didn’t hit the mark for me. I did not enjoy the narration or the characters. I felt the characters were very simple and one sided. I will give her other books a chance but did not enjoy this one.

Thanks to Savannah Scott, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for my audio copy in return for my honest review.
3.5/5
I'm torn with this book. I didn't really love either of the main characters. Rob was an interesting character the way he fought for a second chance was very wholesome but at times some of his behavior could be off putting and I'm not sure why Laura dealt with it. With Laura at times I really enjoyed her character but other times she was annoying and hard to take. She didn't communicate with Rob which is one of my biggest pet peeves in books!
There was also a lot of characters thrown into one book and I found myself becoming lost and confused. This could have been due to me listening to the book and being unable to flip back and check but still, I shouldn't be that confused!
I do really enjoy Savannah Scotts writing style she had me laughing out loud at points which saved the book for me. There were so many witty and adorable moments that she wrote about that kept me intrigued with the book.
All in all I can't wait to see how Savannah Scott grows as a writer and I'm excited to see where she goes from here.

Laura is NOT in love with her ex-boyfriend. Rob is in love with science and with his thriving YouTube channel, he’s destined for more than this small town. But Rob is sure he’ll win Laura back, he’s got it down to a science. 6 years previously, Rob broke up with Laura before he left for college, simply put, long distance wasn’t going to work and she was his ‘anchor’. But now Rob is back in town, and he wants Laura back but Laura wants to keep her heart safe from Rob.
Battleshipped is a standalone dual POV, small town, second-chance, enemies-to-lovers romance book with no spice. Yes this book is a standalone but it is also book 2 in the Getting Shipped series. So you do not need to read the first book in the series but we do have the couple from the first book, Lexi and Trevor, heavily featured. I did not read the first book before this and found that it did not impact my reading experience.
Throughout this book I adored Laura, I loved her as a character and found her to be insightful and smart. She’s a badass lady! Rob on the other hand, I was given the instant ick and it was really hard to change my mind about him. The ick started about the 13% mark in the book when Rob said TWICE “she’s dating her way through the Ohio phone book” 🤢🤢 I did find that both characters were already still madly in love with each other, so the enemies-to-lovers trope was lacking, especially when its a dual 1st person POV. Due to this the book felt a little predictable and repetitive.
This book solidified my dislike of second-chance romances but the small town setting really bumped this up for me. The older gossiping ladies was everything and added the perfect about of laughs. I do wish we were able to explore more of Laura’s family, at the beginning of the book it seemed like it would have such a larger impact of Laura’s story. And the addition of the Dippity Do storyline was perfect and made Laura a very well rounded character, something that is lacking in other romance books. I read some previous reviews that state they didn’t like Laura because of her being closed-minded and not willing to move out of Bordeaux for Rob but I found it the opposite. I loved Laura, she knows what she wants and won’t move around her whole life for someone when she knows she is the happiest where she is. I do wish she was able to properly communicate this to Rob but I thought her feelings were completely justified and that Rob was out of touch with asking her to leave her life and her dreams to follow him around so he can follow his dreams. We love a confidence, independent woman in this house.
The audiobook was narrated by Amy McFadden and Will Damron and I found that they did an excellent job. I am looking forward to reading Townshipped, the next book in the series, that focuses on Aiden, and getting more time in Bordeaux.
Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced audio copy for an honest review. I love you guys 💕

This one was just cute and fun! Rob broke up with Laura just before he left for college (the jerk) but now he is back in town and knows he made a mistake and wants her back. She wants nothing to do with him and is all about avoiding him. He is going to win her back, though. He is a YouTube inventor with a hit show and she is a hairdresser and trying to save the salon when the owner has decided to move to Florida. Rob wants to give her the money to buy the salon but no way is she doing that but the town is going to come together to help save the salon. I love this series! This can be read as a standalone but really each book is so good, grab them all!

Savannah Scott did a much better job this time around with making a subplot to keep the story moving forward. One of my biggest issues with the previous book in this series, Friendshipped, was only relying on the romance conflict to move the plot which ended up feeling pretty weak. This time around the non-romantic conflict was much more fleshed out and helped a lot with continuing to keep the story going.
While it's not a stay up all night, snub every other responsibility to finish level of good book, there were still a lot of cute moments and was enough to keep me invested enough to finish the book.

This is the second in the Getting Shipped series. They can be read as standalones but I recommend reading the first one. I adore a second chance romance. I already liked Rob and his squirrels from the first book. I also loved me some Laura. She is a great friend. I loved the banter between the two. The small town setting in the series is also a favorite of mine. The romance was sweet. I cannot wait to read the next one. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audio arc in exchange for my honest review.

Ok, well Savannah is instantly becoming a favorite of mine because she’s nailed it again with this book!
First off we have a crash with a knight in shining armor to help her and the she has amnesia…..like hello, I’m sold already!! And the constant mutual pining after each other? I’m always here for that. Anyways, I was hooked from the beginning and enjoyed every moment. It’s always nice to read a romance that doesn’t have smut in it. Makes me actually get to enjoy it.
Also, Savannah. How dare you give me that ending. I definitely had tears when they kids did what they did 😭😭 Such a tender moment.

I LOVE SAVANNAH SCOTT! These books are so darn cute, witty, and hilarious! I love her writing style and honestly can’t wait for more in this series. Rob and Laura finding a 2nd chance at love is just adorable. I was so happy with this book and how it turned out.
🌀Synopsis
Rob and Laura broke up when they went to college. It was Ron’s idea and Laura went along with it. She was devastated at first but she kept going with her life in their small town.
Now, 6 years later, Rob is back and Laura is determined to not let him in. Except, from the very start it seems like the universe is throwing them together. Rob is determined to find his way back into Laura’s heart and Laura keeps pushing him away.
That is…until she finally realizes the lengths he will go to for her love. He manages to save her dreams without making a show of it and it’s just enough to finally win her back over.

I found Battleshipped pleasantly surprising! I am not typically one for a second-chance romance kind of story but these characters were so lovable I simply could not help to find myself rooting for them! The writing and character development were amazing and I really felt like these were my friends by the end of the story.
