Thank you Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the review copy of this audiobook.

I love the series where each book is a different character. This was one of those. I enjoyed the first book, so when I saw the second one was available to request, I jumped on it. Laugh out loud worthy.

Once high School sweethearts, Rob and Laura are forced to hang out together due to having the same friend group. Rob, having broken Laura's heart when he left for college, is determined to win her back. He's destined for big things in the big city. She's determined to stay in her small town. Will he win her back, or will she keep the walls she built up so that he can pursue his dreams?

A little late but this book was the perfect listen! I really enjoyed the tale of high school sweathearts that broke up but never lost their love. A story of a small town love story and the hope that love gives. A must read/listen.

Who doesn’t love a second chance romance? Rob and Laura had a super sweet story that started immediately with him leaving to go off to college. They both stayed in their small town and ended up seeing other often. They both had their feelings for quite some time, but it’s about time to get back together as the hair dresser and the hunky scientist realize their feelings. This really was a darling tale, with kissing only and cute banter. The narration was fine, but the e’s were just a little strange, which was a bit distracting. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend for an easy, sweet read!

I had read another book in this series and loved it so I had high expectations for this book as well. To be honest I was not as in love with this book as the first book I read, but I still definitely had a good time listening to this while I was doing some crafts. It is something that is worth the read but not something that I would be interested in reading if I had to purchase it myself.

Savanna Scott has done it again. Battle (Shipped) is the sweetest second chance romance I have read in a while. I love the town of Bordeaux and all of its towns folk from Mee maw to Aiden they all play a part in the story. My favorite part was the bachelor auction it had me laughing and it was so adorable. This is the second of her books I have listened to and right after I finished this I downloaded the next book on my kindle. I also love the female narrator she really captured Laura’s personality.

Thank you netgalley, dreamscape media and the author for the ALC in exchange for honest review. This book started off and i almost dnf but it hit a corner and i loved it. I temd to gravitate to open door romance books but this closed door was done so well. The narrators were interesting and kept my attention. Highly recommend.

High school sweethearts, Rob and Laura are forced to spend time together by their best friends, newly engaged Lexi and Trevor, even though she hasn’t forgiven him for breaking up with so quickly and unexpectedly. Laura is trying to convince herself she’s not still in love with Rob, while he has made it quite clear he has realized his mistake and will stop at nothing to win her back.

Battleshipped is a cheerful second chance romance that I completely loved. Rob and Laura’s communication is smart, witty and hilarious. Rob is hands down the best romantic book boyfriend I’ve read in quite some time. Laura is strong, ambitious and knows what she wants, never folding to anyone. They make for great chemistry and a fabulous book!

Thank you Netgalley for the free audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Laura and Rob were highschool sweethearts. But when Rob unexpectedly broke things off before heading to college Laura built walls that still haven't come down 6 years later.

The awkwardness between them is real and sharing a friend group makes it impossible to avoid each other. The spark is still there between them even though both think it's just them.

Written in Dual POV, we switch between Laura and Rob. The audiobook is good quality, but the inflection in the female voice bothered me (listening at 1.25 speed made it much better).

Overall a cute rom com, 3.5 stars

Battleshipped is the second book of the the Shipped series. I really like these super clean, cute stories.
This is a second chance HEA between Laura & Rob.
Rob broke things off with Laura right before he left for college, now he back in town and realized he made the wrong choice.

Laura never one to want to feel like an anchor, let Rob walk away with no fight and still not ready to fight for him when he comes home.
With them having mutual friend groups they cant help but get closer as time goes by.
Rob is determined to make sure Laura knows, she is the one for him!

The audio was fun to listen to.

We find ourselves back in small town USA (aka Bordeaux, Ohio) but following a different “couple” this time.

As someone who lives in a tiny town in Ohio I find it hilarious that this town has 2500 people but I’m chilling here in one that had 230 on the last census - it’s not important to the story but I mean…2500 sounds plenty big to me 😅😅 it’s not I know that, but still.

Anyway, now that my unnecessary commentary has taken place - THE STORY.

I love this absolutely adorable story. There’s something about the way this author takes small town living, throws in places I can see in my head and wraps it up in the land of a romcom. Hilarious romcom land honestly. This one follows a high school couple that breaks up when college rolls around. Rob goes off to college while Laura stayed in their hometown working at the local hair salon. Eventually, Rob returns and Lexi is not having it. After all, he broke her heart. It’s a romcom so I think we can all assume what happens next - in all of its hilarity.

This is incredibly enjoyable with dual narrators to get us through the POVs of both Rob and Laura with minimal confusion (multiple POV with a single narrator can get super confusing). Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audio copy!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I enjoyed this book. It’s a lighthearted second chance love story. The FMC was a little to angsty for my taste but I enjoyed their story. 🌶🌶/5 for spice.

This was okay! It is a second chance/enemies type of romance, the second in a series. Its new adult, and our characters fit that narrative. They're both pretty immature and are circling around one conversation that they can't seem to have really. They both clearly want to be together but there's a lot of pushing back. I struggled to see a spark between them, and I couldn't really connect with either Rob or Laura. I enjoyed the cute small town setting. I listened to this as an audiobook, and both narrators (this is told in dual POV) were great. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest review.

I really enjoyed this second chance romance between Laura and Rob.

Laura and Rob were high school sweethearts and thought that they would be together forever. They were going to different colleges, but had a whole plan of how to navigate their long term relationship. That is, until on one of the worst days of Laura's life, Rob unexpectedly broke up with her so that they could go their own directions in college.

Now here we are six years later. Rob has been home for 2 years and they have hung out, but only within their friend group. Never alone. Laura still isn't over how Rob broke her heart.

Rob is now realizing how much he misses Laura and how much he wants a future with her. So he makes it his goal to woo her into getting back together with him. Laura is still skeptical because they are in the same place that they were all those years ago - Rob could get up and move away at any point because of his job. So where does that leave Laura and Rob? Will they be able to make it through the same obstacles all these years later or will their love story end the same way?

I really enjoyed this book, especially the narrators for the audiobook! The female voice was AMAZING and I really liked how she narrated Laura's parts. It made me love Laura that much more as a character.

One ick that I had with this book - when Rob broke up with Laura, it was because he wanted to be single in college so that they could both experience college and life. BUT Rob then robs inner thoughts tell us that he had a serious girlfriend for two years of college. Like why?! Why not just stay with Laura then. That was my only issue!

I received an ARC (advanced reader copy) of this audiobook from Netgalley. #Netgalley

Author: Savannah Scott
Narrators: Amy McFadden; Will Damron

This is a sweet story about a couple who break up before college, and then find their way back to one another after six years apart.

Laura: She’s feisty, bold, helpful, kind, warm-hearted, and is a small town girl at heart. She’s a hairdresser- which is exactly what she wants to be and at the salon she wants to be at.

Rob: The town’s YouTube sensation, heartthrob, scientist, and charmer. He’s also the guy who broke Laura’s heart.

This book is sweet and filled with scenes that are sweet and sour and funny too. Savannah Scott has a great sense of humor! And she really understands people.

So, why only 3 stars? I think it’s the make out scenes that make this a 3 star audiobook. They were sweet, but steadfastly stayed away from sexy, steamy, or erotica. That made this twenty-somethings novel unrealistic for me.

Especially with a firey and feisty girl in the mix - you know there’s more than groping and kissing going on. I’m not saying it needs to be explicit… but, sex is usually a part of adult relationships.

If one of them was asexual or a virgin - that would have been different.

The narrators were both great. They really work well together and I hope they’ll collaborate on more books.

Savannah Scott’s Getting Shipped! series book 2, Battle(Shipped) I think is even better than the first, which I really enjoyed! It’s a clean romance (sweet and swoony), enemies to re-kindling, second chance romance - one that even though clean, is so worth going through the effort he has to put in to win her back after all the years apart.

This couple, Rob and Laura, were high school sweethearts that decided (one-sided, of course) to break up at the end of high school when she was staying in their hometown and he was going off to MIT and great things in his future. She became a hair dresser at the Dippitty-Do, and he worked for some big-name companies and is now a big You-Tube influencer with nibbles from big TV networks looking to collaborate on his science experiments and broadcast to a wider audience. He just wants to be back in his hometown and winning back his girl. She’s certain fame and big things are coming to lure him away again, so constantly resists and denies any reconciliation.

Second chance romance, especially one with a backstory such as this, and part of a series with all of the former and future characters being so important, is one of my faves. Savannah Scott did a fantastic job with the story and I can’t wait to continue the series!

Audio - excellent performances by a couple relatively new favourites, Amy McFadden and Will Damron. Both voices were perfect for the characters and they each did a fantastic job!

A definite recommendation, and no need to read book 1 first (though it would be a good idea for a little background on the town and a couple characters, wedding info, etc.).

I received an advance review copy from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, and this is my honest feedback.

Super cute! It had all the things I liked about book #1: lighthearted read, cute story, and fun setting. But unlike book #1, Rob and Laura had solid communication. Rob in particular was so direct, and it was so refreshing to see.

Characters from book #1 feature in this, but this can definitely be read as a standalone.

Content: clean

I loved this book after reading it and the audiobook version just gave it that much more life and enjoyment for me. Rob and Laura had CHEMISTRY! We are talking the undeniable kind where you just know they are meant to be with one another. I really liked how Rob was this super attractive geek, "definitely swoony" as Laura puts it, with a heart of gold. He recognizes his mistake and is determined to make things right. I couldn't help but fall in love with him and I see why Laura couldn't resist either. It was about all the little things and genuine good guy moves he did. Laura is independent and daring, but when the worst day of her life kind of scars her heart, she closes parts of herself off and must learn to trust, love, and live to the fullest again.
This was a definite “put a smile on your face” kind of book, a second chance romance with so many fabulous kisses and wonderful banter/flirting. I laughed out loud a few times too.
The dual narrators for the audiobook both did a great job. There were a few times the female narrator had a bit of an accent that I didn't quite feel matched Laura and Ohio, but it wasn't really distracting and didn't bother me to a point where it pulled me out of the story.
Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for my ALC. I definitely recommend this book and highly recommend the audiobook version.

Laura and Rob have history. Rob broke up with Laura right before he left town to go to MIT without realizing the blow he was dealing. Laura has held a grudge since and refuses to associate with Rob outside of their friend group now that he back in town. Rob has a growing career as a scientist-turned-YouTuber and Laura has in a sense felt in inferior as she decided to forego college and instead becoming a hair stylist. Laura and Rob are pushed by their friends to realize how much they mean to each other and how they should fight to be together if that is what they want. It was a great follow-up to Friendshipped.

I really enjoyed this story of high school lovers that reconnect after college but not in an instant way. The author did a great job of throwing curve balls and independent story lines in to give all the characters depth.

I know this book is part of a series and I haven't read any of the others but I may look them up based on this book.

I just love this series so much. I can’t even remember how I stumbled upon it but I’m so glad I did. I can’t wait to read the other books in the series. The audio narrators were excellent.

This one focuses on Laura and Rob. Rob broke Laura’s heart at the absolute worst time in her life.

When Laura’s life felt as though it was crashing down around her Rob tapped out (without ever realizing what she was going through at the time) and went off to college.

Rob gets back from college and is now seemingly everywhere which is driving Laura insane. Who wants to see the guy who broke their heart every day!?

This was a book with fantastic character development, friendship, heartache, boyfriend’s mother issues, daddy issues (which were sooooo spot on as far as the emotional part of it), small town (with funny business names the freaking Dip-pity Do) and so much more.

This book was light on steam…I don’t typically read “sweet romance” books because they make me wanna gag since they are usually so PG that it makes me cringe. Savannah Scott does sweet romance so well…there is sexual tension but nothing more than kisses in this one which I didn’t mind one bit. I prob won’t be reading anyone else’s sweet romance books anytime soon HOWEVER I fully endorse picking this one up and I can’t wait to read everything else this author puts out.
