Laura's boyfriend, Rob, dumped her the same day her dad left her mother, 8 years ago. Now that Rob is back in town, she is trying everything she can to avoid him (which is hard in a small town), while Rob is actively trying to win her back.
This was a very cute second chance, closed door romance. It's the second book in the Getting Shipped! series, and I liked it better than the first one. I loved the chemistry, all the side characters and the small town settings. Although I did find it a bit repetitive at times, and Laura's stubbornness felt a bit forced, it was a good read, or listen in my case, because I listened to the audio book, and the dual POV narration was really good.
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was such a cute second chance romance! I’m a SUCKER for a small town, and the town of Bordeaux, Ohio has all of the charm that I love! I loved Rob and Laura! They were everything I didn’t know I needed today! I think I loved Rob calling her Jellybean most of all! I can’t wait to continue this series!!!

I live for and absolutely love a second chance romance, small town setting, childhood love romance and this delivered on all accounts!
This was so cute and sweet and I absolutely fell in love with the cast of characters and the small town setting.

Thank you Net Galley for an audio copy of Battleshipped by Savanah Scott. This was a romantic comedy and I was entertained throughout the story, reading about second chance romance. The characters were adorable.

I'm a sucker for a good second chance, dual POV, small town romance and this one was excellent! Childhood sweethearts, Rob left when he was 18, leaving Laura brokenhearted. Now that he's back she's not interested in getting hurt again. Preoccupied with saving the Hair Salon where she works, Laura tries to resist Rob's advances only to find herself falling for his charm offensive.
I enjoyed all the small town vibes, the great cast of friends and that Rob was a famous science Youtuber. There was a lot of emotional depth in this story related to toxic parental relationships. Laura needed to work through her issues and learn how to trust Rob now to run away again and believe in her own self-worth.
Great on audio narrated by Amy McFadden and Will Damron (my only complaint was the voices for some of the side characters were super annoying!). Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!! I'm really enjoying this series and can't wait for the next one!
