This book had a lot of heart, even if it wasn’t quite as smooth a ride as I hoped. The chemistry between the characters was palpable, and the premise of trying to stay “just friends” while feelings evolve was super engaging. While there were definitely some sweet moments, the pacing slowed down at times, and I found myself wishing for a bit more depth. Still, it’s a fun, light read that hits all the right notes for a rom-com with some emotional layers.
⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 3.5 stars for a story full of heart and chemistry, but it could’ve used a little more spark. PG-rated for some romantic tension and light language.

I ended up not finishing this book unfortunately. There wasn’t anything particularly wrong - it was a lighthearted friends-to-lovers that I think many others would love. The miscommunication trope usually doesn’t draw me in, and I think that trope is ultimately what didn’t draw me in. Again, I think others would enjoy this read for its lightheartedness.

The miscommunication trope is my least favorite, but I do love a friends to lovers romance. While this one can definitely be a standalone, I was missing some of the other brothers' backstories by skipping to this storyline. Maybe it was the fact the FMC was named Hailey, but I really loved the banter and watching their story unfold. Was it corny? At times, yes. Was it a bit too much business talk from the Jansen Brothers to the point that they lost me sometimes? Also yes. Overall, it was enjoyable and one I would recommend if you're wanting something light and cute, but also not going to make my top 10 favorites for the year. Thank you to NetGalley, Macmillan Audio, and Sophie Sullivan for sending me a copy of this one.

Hailey has one objective, get her new business off the ground, a salad restaurant. When she and Wes meet it is an awkward meet-cute that goes wrong. A few days later when Wes seeks her out to apologize they strike up a friendship. This is not your usual friends to lover trope but somehow they make it work. I do have to let you know I was not aware this was the third in the series so would classify this as a standalone.

This book unfortunately was just not for me. I did not finish it as it was a bit too light hearted for my tastes but would be a good fit for someone else

Any book by Sophie Sullivan is a good one and I’ll gladly read and listen to it. Shes a master at weaving love stories with memorable main characters and beautiful scenery.

I am now craving salad! I really enjoyed the first half of this book. But Hailey and Wes both started grated on me. They had so many hang ups and weird feelings about things. I do not believe they would ever really be able to move past that without serious therapy. I thought the audiobook was better than reading the ebook and I liked the two narrators.

I think this was fine, but nothing innovative or new/exciting. The characters were nice and I was happy how it ended. I liked that their relationship developed slowly over time and how they didn't even like each other when they first met. He seemed really nice and attentive toward her and I'm glad his brothers were able to change his mind and realize that he didn't have to repeat the mistakes of his parents.

Listening to this book was suuuuch a treat. I fell in love with Hailey and Wes when I read this book last year and was missing all the Jansen brother's so this was the perfect excuse to come back to this world.
Love the narrator for Hailey so much. She really capture's Hailey's tone well and brings so much life to her. Wes' narrator took a minute to grow on me. He started kind of meh for me, but definitely felt like he embodied Wes better as the story progressed.
This is a fantastic way to experience this book, and I really want to go back and listen to the audiobooks for the first two Jansen brother books.
After a less than pleasant meeting, Hailey Sharp and Wes Jensen really don't expect to run into each other again. When life keeps throwing them into each others paths, they realize they actually click really well and easily become close friends. These two are determined to only stay friends. Hailey is busy building up her new salad shop, and Wes has enough trauma to deter him from ever wanting to love. The closer they get, the harder it is to follow the guide they've made up for themselves, and can't deny the feelings that are there.
SOPHIE SULLIVAN DID IT AGAIN!! She captured everything I love in a friends to lovers book. The slow burn was done so well, and you barely felt it because the friendship developed was perfection. Sullivan also brought back our favorite characters from the first two books as big parts of Hailey and Wes' story. I highly recommend reading Sullivan's other two books first to get a full feel for how important these characters and their stories come together.
When it came to romance, Wes and Hailey had so much healing to do within themselves. My sweet sweet, protective, and scared Wes had to really go through it in this book. His heart is so big, and I fell in love with him right away. I loved Hailey and her headstrong attitude. Watching her not only thrive with her business, but find a family in a new city had me crying happy tears for her.
I love love love this book. I cannot recommend it enough, especially if you were a fan of the first two books. I cried like a baby at the end, because I was not ready to say goodbye to the stupid, big hearted Jensen brothers and the three women they fell in love with. All three books felt like a big found family trope.

This was such an adorable friends to lovers romance book! This is the third book in the Jansen Brothers series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but is best enjoyed as part of the series!
This book had the best meet cute! This book is told in 3rd person dual POV and it’s a super slow burn, closed door romance. I loved the characters in this book, and I loved catching up with the characters from the others books in the series. Also, the talk of salads in this book had me craving them!! If you’re looking for a super cute and easy read, I recommend checking this series out!

Thank you to the publisher for providing this audiobook for review.
I read this book a while back. It was not my intention to leave a dated review but I suppose better late than never.
I remember liking this cute romcom. There were a few parts I remember feeling were a little slow. The cheesiness in this is parts was a little bit too much for me, but some may find they enjoy it. I also don’t love Instant attraction but that’s not to say it deters too much from the story for me. I liked Wes and Hailey and ultimately their friends to lovers story. I enjoyed the family/friends dynamics too. I think the over arching message I got was it’s important to fight for what you want in love.

Really enjoyed this friends to lovers rom com. Loved the development of Hailey and Wes’ friendship right from the start of a mixup from a name on a coffee cup. Wes’ unintentional overstepping to help Hailey kinda backfires on him and I never love the last minute breakups but overall it was a cute rom com with a HEA.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a review copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book in this series that I've read and I'm now looking forward to reading the others. This book was a cute friends to lovers romance although both of the main characters got on my nerves at times with their issues. Overall though this was an enjoyable book.

Hailey and Wes meet in a coffee shop where he’s sure she’s his date after the barista scrawls the wrong name on her cup (of course!). Hailey owns the salad shop next door to the coffee shop and ends up making a delivery and Wes is there.
Their friendship slowly evolves and it’s hilarious and sweet to read/listen to it grow.
I really enjoyed this book! It was so funny and full of life. I loved the two narrators and the life they brought to the audio book!

This was my first Sophie Sullivan's book, and won't be my last. I loved it! Hailey and Wes's story is beautifully written and engaging. I loved the friendship, the humor, the slow burn, the romance, and the amazing characters. This is a sweet and beautiful romance. Good narration from Stephanie Willing and Timothy Andrés Pabon. I received a copy of this book through NetGalley, a Macmillan Audio production, for an honest review.

This audiobook was such a great quick listen. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and I really loved our MC Hailey. A classic meet-cute gone wrong! Aside from the book specifically I love supporting fellow Canadians so I will certainly be recommending this book to many people!

It’s almost unreal how many times I’ve read the books in a romcom series out of order. Full disclosure, I did it again here and read book 3 first. As always, I recommend reading books in series order to avoid spoilers.
I wasn’t crazy about this one. Which sadly doesn’t bode well for the other 2 books in the series but, I digress. I found the MC to be really annoying at times and her pride got in the way of her happiness so much. It was beyond miscommunication, she just didn’t want to see anyone helping her and it was frustrating to see.
I’d read the other two books in the series because I liked the writing. It was the characters that I didn’t love.

Thanks to #NetGalley and the publisher for this #ALC !
I listened to this one not realizing that it the third in the series featuring the Jansen brothers. However, other than other characters‘ romantic back stories, I felt like I did not miss much from the prior books.
Hailey and Wes meet awkwardly but then begin a friendship. But, can they just be friends? This was light and funny, though some moments I had to shake my head at the characters‘ actions in certain issues. The dual narration worked well to tell the story from Hailey‘s perspective and Wes‘s perspective, though I liked the female narration a bit more.

Very cute!! I have began to really love friends to lovers trope and this was the perfect one to read!

This book didn’t blow me away, but I did thoroughly enjoy the story! This is a quintessential friends to lovers trope, and it’s a decently fast read once you get past the first part of the book. I couldn’t put my finger on exactly what made me feel this way, but the first 20% of the book felt like the pacing was off. This is a great book to pick up if you’re dealing with stress or have recently read a bunch of heavier books and you just need a lighter “pick me up.”
