The Dragon and the Unicorn: The Magic of Friendship by Charly Froh - 4/5
Children's Fiction - Parenting & Families - Sci Fi & Fantasy

The Dragon and the Unicorn is such a cute book that had my two children, ages 5 and 7, hooked. We enjoyed the stunning illustrations, the story line and all the fabulous fun the Dragon and Unicorn have.

A Dragon named Dan lives up on a mountain which sits next to a beautiful place called Sparkle Land, where Fran, a unicorn lives. Everything is all rainbows and pancakes until a storm sweeps them away from their homes and they are left stranded. Can the two of them come together and work on getting home? Dive into the story to find out.

Thank you NetGalley and Tizia-Charlotte Frohwitter for the eARC.

I LOVED THIS. I thought It was so beautifully illustrated and the story was such a sweet story about friendship and not making snap judgements about others! I loved it so, so much. Kids will too!

This easy reader is very cute. As one who loves the fantasy genre I was excited to see this book. The story line is good showing how friendship can start as well as how it can develop. However, it felt a little clunky. I like that there was repetition especially with the OH, NO! since children's books with repetition help build prediction skills. It just didn't seem to have easy transitions. Overall, an adorable book about helping each other out and not being afraid to ask for help.

This is a beautifully illustrated story about two unlikely friends. I love the emphasis on having different qualities and skills, and the importance of sharing them and working together! Definitely one I'll be getting for my kiddos!

A great story with beautiful illustration about a dragon and a unicorn that live in different places, but one day stranded together. What was not an easy path for both made them the best of friends. For their difference can help each other. A must read book, more over for fantasy land lover.

The Dragon and The Unicorn has absolutely beautiful illustrations and such important messaging for children: it is okay to ask for and accept help and it is wonderful to be friends with people who are different from you. My dragon and unicorn loving 4 year old adored this book and we'd likely purchase it for our bookshelf! Fran and Dan are just too cute!

Thank you to Tizia-Charlotte Frohwitter and NetGalley for this ARC!

OMG! The cover of this picture book is just too adorable. Of course, the plot is adorable too! Dan is a dragon who does his dragon things and lives with his dragon friends in his own kingdom. Fran is a unicorn who does her unicorn things with her friends in her own kingdom. One day, fate whirls them together: literally. Dan and Fran have to learn to trust each other to find their way back to their homes. Can a dragon and a unicorn become friends? Read on to find out!

What I loved most: Fran's main and tail! I love the colors used to accent it. Dan, the dragon, is absolutely adorably illustrated. I love everything about him!

Highly recommend this for those with littles. The pictures are better than the plot; however, the message taught is powerful through the plot and pictures.
