This is a fun book exposing kids to animals and happenings all around the world. The clear, crisp photographs will be of interest to curious readers as they open their minds to explore different cultures, families and creatures.

I love the aspect of asking questions to spark conversations that will build connections between the photos. Questions like: "What do you see that is the same? What is different? What can we discover together?"

I recommend this beautiful book and know as you share with it with your child you will be spending quality time together as you read through it together.

The author has added a segment at the end "For Curious Grown-Ups ( and Kids ) ... suggested words and fun facts about the photos which are both entertaining and educational . I highly recommend this book.

Photographer J. Laweranc Graham shares photos of animals and people from around the world doing daily activities and during play. At first, I didn't realize that the author was a photographer, so the book seemed disjointed. However, after reading the author information and details in the back of the book, I saw the connections between each photo shown on page together. I think having those explanations at the beginning of the book would be helpful for adult readers. However, the photographers are a great way to introduce children to new places, people, and creatures from around the world!

The author/photographer of this title wants to open up the world to children. Each page presents two photos that are linked in some way. Captions invite a bit of thinking. In the introduction, Graham suggests ways to extend the experience of looking through the book. It is the author’s hope that children will be inspired. I hope that they will be too.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Greenleaf Book Group for this title. All opinions are my own.
