Jack Morgan is with his friend and former Marine, Karl Parker at the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate his company going public. Karl is shot dead by an assassin, and Karl’s wife hires Private to find his killer. Jack sees links to his case, when a female office worker is murdered in Moscow. Jack then jumps on a plane to Russia. Right from the start, like the master storyteller he has proven to be, Patterson had me invested in the characters and in the compulsive, addictive and fast paced action. The book builds to an explosive, high-octane conclusion which drew the story to a close perfectly.

This is a well-written, fast-paced novel for lovers of action fiction. It begins with Jack Morgan, superstar detective, witnessing the assassination of a good friend and, determined to bring the killer to justice, he becomes involved in a complicated case involving espionage and other killings.

I enjoyed this story a lot. I've always been a fan of espionage thrillers and this one was very interesting to read. Though, the plot is not very unique when it comes to Russia and America having their people deeply embedded in each other's organizations. But the assassin, the chase, and the investigation in Russia was very captivating. Jack Morgan's character is so well written, cool as a cucumber but tough as nails. Loved it !

The dash from the embassy in Russia and the subsequent flight action was very thrilling and a little unbelievable how everything worked out in Jack's favor. But, I don't mind, it was a good escape. The final layer of this espionage scandal was terrifying, in the sense that everything is so unpredictable when it comes to world politics. The countries need to keep dodging traps laid by their competitors. Such a high stakes game, this !

Jack Morgan is with his friend and former military buddy Karl Parker at the New York Stock Exchange to witness Karl's company going public. Just as they are about to ring the bell ,Karl is killed by an assassin. His wife hires Jack's company Private to find his killer. When another murder occurs in Moscow Jack sees links to his case and jumps on a plane to Russia. This sets off a string of events that could have serious political implications.
No one reads Patterson books expecting great quality literature. What these books do provide is non-stop action and entertainment that keeps you turning the pages to see what the next escapade will bring. The Private series does this on a global scale and I always enjoy reading the next installment to see where the series will take us next. #netgalley #PrivateMoscow

Once again the Private series knocks it out of the park! I love this series and love getting back into the lives of the people in the book! I hope that Jack & Justine can actually make it work again! This was a great mix of Private Russia & Private NYC and I hope for more mashups of different regions of Private in the future!!

Hard to believe this is the 15th book in the "Private" series - several of which I've read; at this point, in fact, it's my favorite of the Patterson-Author Du Jour offerings. It's also the first, I believe, with co-author Adam Hamdy, and my gut reaction when I finished was the meshing of the two voices needs a little more work; there were a few spots when the writing switch wasn't totally seamless.

Other than that, though, the whole thing is another slam-bam page-turner, this time set mostly in, well, the obvious. Can Private founder Jack Morgan identify and thwart the roots of all evil that threatens the very future of the United States - and maybe the entire world - before someone thwarts him permanently? Well, of course - otherwise it would be the end of the series - but the devil (in the form of a really nasty Russian guy) is in the details.

Initially, Jack gets involved after a long-trusted friend and former U.S. Marine buddy invites him to New York to discuss something important - and watch as the guy rings the bell at the New York Stock Exchange to announce his highly successful company's IPO. Needless to say, it doesn't go well; just as his hand brings down the hammer, his head explodes - and Jack's heroic efforts to chase down the assassin go up in smoke (well, actually, in a helicopter). Immediately thereafter, his dead buddy's widow hires Private to start another chase, which hopefully will end on a more positive note.

Meanwhile, halfway around the world in Moscow, the Private office, headed by Dinara Orlova, is struggling a bit. Then, they take on a new client, a Russian oligarch who wants the agency to investigate a recent blast that killed a Russian woman. From that point on, scenes shift from New York to Moscow and the two cases - and readers begin to wonder (as does Jack and his team) if there's a connection between the two murders so far apart.

Suffice it to say it's a race to the finish, with a few casualties, near-casualties, successes and outright blunders (none of which, of course, I can expand upon without spoiling things for others). Fast-paced and on the exciting side, I couldn't wait to get to the end. And BTW, for those new to the series, while I always recommend starting at the beginning, this one stands well on its own. As a fan of suspenseful thrillers, I found "Private Moscow" by James Patterson and Adam Hamdy to be a captivating read. The book's fast-paced action and intricate plot kept me guessing until the very end, and I was impressed with the authors' ability to keep the tension high throughout the story. The story starts off with a literal bang, the murder of his friend and former US Marine comrade, Karl Parker on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Jack's investigation of this case takes him to Russia and is tied with another Private Moscow case.
The book is fast-paced and action-packed, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing until the very end. The characters are well-developed and interesting, with each member of the Private team bringing their own unique skills and personalities to the table. I would like to thank NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Private founder Jack Morgan watches as his friend and former US Marine comrade Karl Parker is killed. He chases the killer but is unable to catch him. Karl’s wife hires Private to find the killer. Private Moscow is hired to find the killer. During the investigation, Jack learns that Karl has left him several clues, but he’s not sure what they all mean. And it seems that his friend had many secrets. Secrets that shock Jack to his core.

In Moscow, a woman named Yana Petrova is killed in an explosion at a restaurant. Maxim Yenen, a wealthy oligarch, hires Private Moscow to find out who killed her.

Jack’s discoveries lead him to Moscow where he teams up with the head of his Moscow office, Dinara Orlova, and Leonid Boykov. Are the two cases somehow related? The danger escalates and all three find their lives on the line. Who can they trust?

A fast-paced, action-filled story that leaves Jack thinking he might not make it out alive.

He is finding things out that don’t match what he knows and only lead to more questions. His search leads him to Moscow. The book is filled with action from the first page. This book is part of a series but could be read as a stand alone. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Jack Morgan is back and better than ever in James Patterson’s latest thriller, Private Moscow. Fans of the series will be thrilled to see the renowned international investigation firm back in action, tackling a murder case that has far-reaching consequences.

The story starts with Jack being invited by his long-time friend Karl Parker to share in the IPO of his company at the New York Stock Exchange. However, things take a turn for the worse when Karl is gunned down before he has a chance to share some crucial information with Jack. As Jack investigates his friend’s assassination, he quickly realizes that he didn’t know Karl as well as he thought.

The book is full of action-packed, short chapters that keep the reader engaged and on their toes. Patterson’s signature twists and turns make this a page-turner that is hard to put down. Fans will be happy to see the return of familiar characters and the addition of new ones that add to the excitement.

Private Moscow is a quick-paced mystery that deals with espionage, modern world tension, and problems that are relevant to our times. Patterson masterfully weaves these elements into the plot, creating a story that is both thrilling and thought-provoking. Overall, I highly recommend Private Moscow to fans of the series and those who enjoy a fast-paced, engaging thriller.

Private Moscow is another fast paced read from James Patterson. I was pulled in from the beginning as the story moved between New York City and Moscow. Although action packed throughout, I found the book longer than it needed to be. In general I enjoyed Private Moscow and look forward to reading more books by this author.

5/5 stars! I've been a long-term fan of James Patterson and "Along Came a Spider" is still a personal favorite of mine years later. I didn't realize this was a series but I am loving getting to know Jack Morgan in this story. I found myself gasping throughout this whirlwind action story and I felt like I was experiencing a Mission Impossible story in writing. I couldn't get enough of this story and will be going back to read the rest of the "Private" series immediately.

This is the 15th book in the Private series. If you're a fan of the series or James Patterson then you'll enjoy this book. There's a reason that James Patterson has such a vast audience of readers. He has a way of touching and pulling his readers into his stories. This one is no different.

Jack Morgan receives an invitation from his old Marine buddy to be with him at the New York Stock Exchange while his company goes public. While standing and waiting for the bell to ring, his friend is murdered. His friends wife hires Jack to help solve the murder, which brings Jack to Russia.

This story goes alternates between Russia and the USA with chapters while the story flawlessly flows along. Unlike many of books I've read, it was obvious that there was much research done on the setting of thy cities that took place. I have a habit of looking up places in thy books I'm reading. Often, I'm left disappointed but I looked up a street in Russia and was left delighted. Those are the small details that sets Patterson apart from other authors.

In true Patterson form, you're in the edge of your seat and not wanting to put the book down. You'll be carrying your book with you as you move from room to room. You'll be shocked with the twists and turns.

Thanks to Netgalley, James Patterson, and his publishers for the ARC of Private Moscow.

I am going to be thinking about this for awhile because I have somehow either read this book, or a very similar
styled story- and all without recall of Jack or Karl. This being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book! A page turner
that had me carrying my device to the laundry room, the kitchen, wherever errands awaited me! I don’t believe I have done this before.
When Jack agrees to help Victoria learn the truth about what happened to her beloved husband, it starts this
story of good and evil off on a wild ride. I was relieved to follow Jack through to another successful conclusion,
ensuring another installment sometime in the future.
I recommend this book, but primarily to those who have read other books in the,”Private,”:series. While it’s
certainly an enjoyable, thriller suspense ride, it’s full of nuance and details with mainly recurring characters.
My thanks to the Publisher (Century) and NetGalley for a copy of this book. These comments are left voluntarily

The story opens in Russia and goes back and forth between the US and Russia. The storylines from both countries intertwined which makes for a wonderful story. I really liked the book!

In the 15th novel in the bestselling Private series, Private Moscow, One of Jack Morgan’s old friends from the marines asks him to come to the New York Stock Exchange where his company is being traded for the first time. Jack gets the impression that his friend want to tell him something, but as his friend is murdered by an assassin before he gets a chance to tell Jack. This is the first of several hits on citizens who don’t seem to be connected. As Jack works to solve the murder of his friend, he becomes involved in a deadly conspiracy in Moscow.

Jack Morgan is a great protagonist, having charm and many talents. He is in great physical shape and is able to chase the assassin several times, without losing his life, but coming up short every time. The supporting characters, both working in Private New York and Private Moscow are well-developed and add some Russian culture to the story. It seems that the author (or most likely the co-author) has done the research and the areas near Moscow including the streets, ring true so the readers can believe that the characters are actually in Russia and in Moscow. A bonus is that readers are introduced to Solyanka soup, which was intriguing (and a recipe on the internet made it possible to eat it while enjoying the novel).

While the story is not particularly feasible, it is easy to follow and readers won’t lose interest. In fact, they will be on the edge of their seat during most of the novel since the suspense starts building at the beginning and doesn’t stop until the end.

As is typical of James Patterson novels, this one is full of plenty of (comic book type) violence and tons of dead bodies. While the scenarios aren’t completely believable, it is very entertaining and gives readers plenty of time to escape from the real world.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

I have never been so excited to receive an ARC as I was with this one. James Patterson is one of my favorite authors. He's also an author my husband and grandma both read, so it's really fun to when we all read one of his books and can discuss them. There aren't many authors that we all enjoy. This quickly became a drop everything and read book. I opened it Friday night after dinner and spent the weekend reading.

I love the mix of drama and mystery this book brought. The main character was likable. Even though the book is long, it moves quickly and I found myself finishing far sooner than I wanted to. The plot was well paced, gave enough twists to keep me guessing, and wasn't so predictable or formulaic that I figured out the twists too soon in the book leaving me bored and uninterested which has been a recent problem for me in this genre.

I cannot wait for my family to read this book so we can all discuss it.
