Setting the Scene: Jack Morgan, head of Private, a well respected Detective agency with offices around the globe, is at the New York Stock Exchange on a bitterly cold January morning to celebrate the success of his former U.S. Marine buddy. When an assassin's bullet rips through the air and finds its mark, Jack finds himself catapulted into an investigation with international links that will take him to Russia and put the lives and reputations of everyone involved at risk. If he fails, Jack, Private, and the United States may not survive.

What I Thought: This is one of those books that just grabs you from the beginning and never let's go. The characters are well developed, the dialogue flows, and the plot keeps you guessing. Jack Morgan, a powerful man with intelligence and integrity, has long been one of my favorite characters, and he does not disappoint. So, grab a copy of the book, get comfortable, and enjoy the ride. It's a wild one.

Note: I found it interesting that the security advisor to the U. S. Ambassador to Russia is named Carrie Underwood. There has to be a story there.

I love all of the books in the Private series. Private Moscow was a great read. I am always interested in seeing what Jack Morgan, Mo-bot and SCI are up to!
In this story, Jack in personally investigating the murder of his close friend Karl, while trying to find out who the next target is, while trying to prevent it at the same time.
James Patterson is always a master at weaving multiple story lines together, so I always feel like I'm getting a 'two for one' with his books. The story also investigates a murdered reporter in Russia, who was publishing valuable secrets. If you're a fan of JP, you won't be disappointed!

A very thrilling and completely engrossing Private story that has Jack Morgan leaving NY and heading to Moscow in an attempt to unravel a conspiracy with Russian roots that was responsible for an old friend and mentor' s murder. Jack follows a series of clues left to him by his murdered friend and they lead him right to a huge Russian ring of govt sanctioned undercover agents living and working in the US.
The story is nonstop action with very detailed character developments and a plot that jumps back and forth between countries almost seamlessly.
Welcome back Jack.
