In this follow up to The Soulmate Equation we get to step into the life and mind of a fan favorite character - Fizzy!

Fizzy was just as witty and hysterical in this book as she was in the first book. I loved that she didn’t shy away from her sexuality and the dating show plot was pretty entertaining. I’m not one for reality tv, but reading about it was totally fine! I’m happy that main characters from Soulmate Equation made appearances in this book as well. Definitely a library crowd favorite!

This was a quick read. I would say the FMC was quirky and the story had a cuteness to it. I wish it was a little longer. I would have loved to spend more time with the main characters together.

I think it’s impossible for CL to write a book that’s less than 5⭐️! They are so gifted. The True Love Experiment was just as fun, goofy, sweet, sexy, and enjoyable as I expected!!

Stevie was my favorite. I’m going to need a book set 10 years in the future about her and Juno being besties at college discovering the world.

I loved this book so so so much. Christina Lauren never misses. Their stories always keep me engaged and wanting more. This story of Fizzy and Conner kept me HOOKED. I laughed out loud so many times, which is what sets this apart from your traditional rom com.

I liked this story and as a watcher of a few dating shows it did really well at bringing both worlds together. The characters were likable and their conflicts were believable. I really like that this wasn’t a miscommunication, there was really a reason they had to travel through their journey.

A classic, steamy Christina Lauren read where you'll be rooting for two characters to end up together throughout the book! C&L are phenomenal writers and I read everything they write - and love it.

Unfortunately, I tried to get into reading this book more than once; but, I just couldn’t bring myself to care enough to finish it. I can see where the characters can draw you in and be interesting, but it just wasn’t for me…maybe just the wrong time. I do like this author so I don’t want to give just one star, but I needed a bit more excitement.

Anything Christina Lauren writes I will read. They have a great combination of romance, comedy and real life situations that delight me.

A fun romance novel that combines behind the scenes of both novel writing and Hollywood producing! This novel follows novelist Fizzy Chen as she struggles to get her writing mojo back while also finding true love!

Loved the premise of this book. Christina Lauren is an auto-read everytime. This book had me weeping as Fizzy figured out the ending for herself. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Christina (&) Lauren have done it again, with a contemporary romance novel that kept me laughing and engaged throughout.

This is a great balance of heat and humor. The premise is delightful. A documentary producer gets forced into making a reality t.v. show. His idea is to find true love for a 37 year old single romance writer. The romance writer puts so many roadblocks she is certain that he will give up. He has to find her 8 men who fit romance hero archetypes- sexy nerd, navy seal, vampire, the one who got away, cinnamon roll, tatooed bad boy, cowboy and Mr. Darcy. The audience gets to vote each week to see which men get to stay. There is also a compatibility app that is used during the final episode.

This is an original and current plot for sure. If you are an open door romance fan, this is your jam. This is an honest review in exchange for a copy of the e-book.

*** Thank you to NetGalley for an Arc in return for an Honest Review***

***Sparks fly when a romance writer and a documentary filmmaker join forces to craft the ultimate Hollywood love story—but only if they can keep the chemistry between them from taking the whole thing off-script***st!

I didn't realize that this was a second installment to the soulmate equation at first!
This is a slow-burn romance where you are rooting for the characters to end up together from very early on in the book, you are taken on a rollercoaster of emotions with them.

I Love Christina Lauren there are always laugh-out-loud moments in their books. Unfortunately, this one did lack some of that humor compared to other books by them which is what lowered my star rating to a 3*
I would still recommend this book for slow-burn romance lovers.

I loved this book! But can Christina Lauren do wrong? No. This is another amazing rom com that I couldn’t put down. I loved the love story, the premise and all around all of it.

This is hands down my new favorite Christina Lauren book!! A MUST read for all romance fans and the perfect sequel to The Soulmate Equation.

What I LOVED:
1. The Premise! A successful romance writer is casted as the lead in a reality dating TV show and falls for the show’s producer. What could be better?!!
2. Fizzy! I loved her in The Soulmate Equation as a supporting character but she made an even better main character. Her sex-positivity, bluntness, and humor made her so likable and there was something special about watching her find joy in a place where she least expected to.
3. Connor! I know I say this after many romance books but he is now my book boyfriend. I loved how sincere, caring, open and honest he was. The way he fell for Fizzy and appreciated her for her was perfection. Plus, he’s British… and tall.
4. The FLIRTING! Seriously this book has the BEST banter and there were so many times I was full on laughing out loud. The added element of forbidden love and forced proximity while filming made all the angst and tension shine.
5. The single parent trope! Connor is a single parent, which is a favorite trope of mine because I always love when romances add kids to their stories.
6. All the Jess/River! I was surprised by how big of a role Jess and River, and even Jude, played in this book. CL did a great job refreshing you on all the small details from The Soulmate Equation too, so I didn’t feel lost in the beginning, especially because DNADuo was tied into the reality show.
7. All the pop culture references!!! Yes, Harry Styles got mentioned twice :)
8. The grand gesture! It was perfect and while it easy to predict how the story would play out, it didn’t take away from the enjoyment whatsoever.

Thank you SOO much NetGalley for the ARC!
