I have to admit, over the course of my sixty plus years here on Earth, I have strayed from my childhood's Christian teachings. Not out of spite, or disbelief, or anything like that. It's just that life gets busy. As I age, I spend a lot more time wondering about "what's next", or "what comes after". I'm as much as anyone else in the dark, but I am continually searching for answers.
This book came along at a good time for me. It is an easily understood look at each chapter of the King James Bible. Both the New Testament and the Old Testament. Along with a short history of the bible, and how it is organized, and why.
Each chapter is covered in an easily readable manner. And a very short synopsis of "key takeaways" from the reading.
Whether you are a lapsed church-goer like me, or just someone wondering what all the fuss is about, this is a good, easy way to help you figure it out.
