A solid four star read. Great premise. Well written. Good characters. Page turner. Plenty of suspense to keep me guessing but not as good as the first book in this series. Would definitely read the next novel and hope it is as good as the first one. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

In book 2 of the series, Lucy’s vigilantism is kicked up to a whole new level when she goes undercover to take down a child sex-trafficking ring. I found the language problematic at time (blaming the victim) but I think it’s just showing its age a bit. I’m interested to see where the series will go in the next two installments.
*Thanks to Bookoutre and NetGalley for this advance reader copy for review.

I'm going to start off by saying thank you #netgalley for the advance copy of the rerelease

This book is a dark thriller dealing with child sex abuse, child sex trafficking, child suicide. The first book was rough, this book went one step further. I had hoped that there would be other topics in the stories but it seems like it'll be a continuation of the story. It should come with some trigger warnings. I didn't think I was going to read the next 2 books but once again, the first sentence sucked me in. The pace of the book flow well, there are times that you are like okay let's get on with it. One scene -where someone was stabbed and was gurgling blood from their mouth ' but was able to continue a full conversation. Not believable . Anyway, I am enjoying this series. The topic is disturbing and may be triggering for some

Private Investigator Lucy Kendall inadvertently discovers a sex trafficking ring in Philadelphia. Lucy is determined to find those who are responsible, and she goes under cover in attempt to find out more information. Will the risks Lucy takes be her downfall after a key witness is found dead and Lucy’s hair is found near the body? The police are closing in on Lucy and she needs to find the ring leader before she is charged with murder.

I just love Lucy Kendall, despite her character flaws. She is a total badass who wants to take down a human trafficking ring in the Philadelphia area. She is sick of the “red tape” the police have to deal with when taking the proper channels, and takes matters into her own hands. Lucy cannot sit idly by and wait for the police to do her job while children are being sold to pedophiles and teens are being forced into prostitution. Lucy is constantly taking risks, but how far is she willing to go?

This one started off a little slower than the first book, but it really picks up in the second half and I couldn’t wait to see what happens. This book will have you racing through pages to find out what happens. Overall, it is a great book and series. I highly recommend if you enjoy crime thrillers, thriller series, and vigilante justice.

This book was a fantastic psychological thriller that I could not leave down until I had finished it. It was such a different story to a lot of books I have read, so many twists and turns and lots of suspense that left you wanting to keep reading after every chapter. The characters were all very intriguing and so well written that you felt you were with them at every point. I would really recommend this book to everybody that loves amazing mystery and thriller books by a fantastic author After reading the first book of this series I read this second one straight away.

The first book in this series really held my attention and was so different, I think because I knew what to expect this time I wasn’t as drawn in by this book. Private Investigator Lucy is back taking out predators who go after young children. Her friends are worried about her taking too many risks and she ends up in mortal danger and must use all of the skills she has learned to get herself out of the situation. A lot of the characters from the first book return and the hunt for Mother Mary heats up.

Private Investigator Lucy Kendall is back investigating a sex trafficking ring. Then the tables turn and she is prime suspect in the friends murder. Who wants to frame Lucy?
Another enjoyable read by Stacy Green

I've been meaning to try this author for quite some time, and I couldn't resist adding the Lucy Kendall series when I saw it was going to be republished. I do love crime thrillers with an unique touch, and after reading (and loving!) the first book I can now say this series definitely fits the bill. It's not every day you get to follow what is basically a sociopath serial killer as our main character, and it is especially intriguing how much you end up rooting for her despite the things she does. And a bonus: this sequel Little Lost Souls is even better than the first one!

First of all, a little warning. This is definitely a series to read in order, both to avoid spoilers and to properly understand the characters, their background and their dynamics. It is also a series that isn't afraid to go dark and seriously twisted, so definitely not for those with a weak stomach... In the case of Little Lost Souls is isn't only the murders, but the story also the focuses heavily on (child) abuse and sex trafficking; it's very present throughout the story and especially harrowing with so many minors involved. The plot does an excellent job exploring the motivations of the main character Lucy Kendall further though, and it was interesting to see how things developed as Lucy tried to dismantel the trafficking ring.

Things can be said about the credibility of it all, but I personally didn't mind at all because it made for an extremely entertaining and twisted ride. It's so hard to find refreshing angles with the amount of crime thrillers I read, and this series definitely delivers on that front. Like I said before, it's not every day you get to follow and root for a sociopath serial killer main character, even though she doesn't see herself that way. The whole moral dilemma and question whether you should root for her or condemn her adds so much extra to the plot, and it truly makes the whole series stand out above other crime thrillers.

Main character Lucy Kendall is of course a big part of the reason this series works so well, but the rest of the cast is great too. It was interesting to see Lucy develop and evolve more in Little Lost Souls, and we get to learn more about her motivations, fears and just how far she is willing to go. I liked her dynamics with both Chris and Todd, and the whole private detective angle and her going undercover adds a lot to the plot as well. There are quite some twists along the way, and I never guessed the full truth about what was happening... The final part of the story was particularly explosive, and then I'm not even talking about the last chapter which made me doubt everything I thought I knew. Let's just say that I'm so glad I decided to binge-read this series, because I NEED to know what happens next.

I do think this is one of those stories where it's better to go in without knowing too much about it... Just make sure to prepare yourself for a seriously twisted, original and disturbing ride. It's not a series I will be forgetting easily, that's for sure!

I really enjoyed the first book in this series and really enjoyed this one just as much. A hard hitting storyline with plenty of tension and I felt drawn to the strong female main character and the storyline. I can't wait to read the next book that is already downloaded on my kindle ready. I recommend this book and author.

Another incredibly engaging book in this series by Stacy Green, I thoroughly enjoyed book 1 and was eager to dive into the 2nd book. This one did not disappoint and again the subject of child exploitation and prostitution felt so real and while I hate that its an subject we have to confront I appreciate the care and delicate way the author presented the subject to the reader. There were quite a few twists that I expected and was pleased I did not solve the who dun it aspect. Once again the book was set up in such a way that I could not wait to dive into the next book in the series. Well done!!!

Lucy Kendall, PI and viligante is on a mission. To rid the city of the monsters that take children, though evil is a lot bigger than her. Even though her morals are in question, you still want her to win the battle. Someone in power in trying to frame her as she is obviously getting too close to the truth.
This is one dark and disturbing storyline, I can't wait to the next story to see where the author is taking Lucy.

This is book 2 in the Lucy Kendall series.

Lucy isn't your every day private investigator. She is also a vigilante determined to rid the world of people who prey on children.

Lucy gets a job at a spa that she suspects is involved in a trafficking ring. When the owner gets murdered, Lucy is the main suspect. Can she clear her name and catch the real killer? Read it for yourself and find out.

If you can handle the content, this is a good series so far. I love the characters and can't wait to learn even more about them.

Thank you to netgalley and Bookouture for the arc.

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC of Little Lost Souls. This is the second book in the Lucy Kendall series. Lucy is a vigilante killer with a heart of gold. Fans of the show Dexter will love this book series! This book was fantastic with lots of twists I did not see coming. I also loved getting a view into Lucy’s internal struggles and dealing with who she is. You can definitely tell there has been a shift from the first book and can’t wait to continue to see where (and how far) Lucy will go!

I'm so invested in this series.
Lucy is a conundrum. So full of emotion yet empty of it at the same time. Recklessly independent and courageous.
I have a sinking feeling I know who the unknown was from the last chapter, and if I'm right, it will be interesting to see it play out.
I still hope Lucy and Todd get together, even if it's only once.
I'd like to know more about Kelly and Chris's pasts.
I received a copy via NetGalley, all opinions are my own.

One woman tackles a whole trafficking ring almost single-handed!😕

This story offered both great suspense and a very troubling but relevant social issue to tackle. It pits one very determined, even obsessed, woman private investigator (who, mysteriously, never seems to work on paying cases!?) against a whole network of opponents, including powerful politicians, in order to find the movers and shakers in a ring trafficking children in the Philadelphia area.

I liked the previous book in the Lucy Kendall series better. Little Lost Souls is less investigating a single case which was the big draw of the earlier book, though there is a pivotal murder that hits too close to home. Lucy's set herself an unrealistic task for one person and deals with a lot of shady types here, really gets stumped about who she can trust, and seems to be unraveling mentally and morally. I liked her as a person much better in the earlier story.

I liked the familiar Pennsylvania setting and, late in the story, the plot's doubling back to one of the monstrous characters from the first book in the series. It leaves a bit of a cliffhanger but I think it's got me curious enough to continue to the next book.

Lots of suspense and twists, some violence and, overall, a pretty dark tale.

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

This series continues to be wild - this is not a traditional detective series so you really need to be ready for the unexpected! Lucy Kendall is a killer herself, and you really get into her mind in this book. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first one unfortunately - I think there is just a bit too much suspending reality for me to really enjoy it. But I definitely think this series can be enjoyed by those that like an action packed crime thriller, with a strong female lead, with plenty of twists and turns. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest review.

If you are a fan of mysteries and thrillers with a consistent main character, then the Lucy Kendall Crime Thriller Series is for you. Lucy is on a mission to save children from the nefarious underworld of individuals that perpetuate crimes against them. Her mission and fortitude is fueled her loss of her sister to suicide as a result of being a victim. Lucy works undercover at the Exhale Spa in order to obtain client lists and locations of where the children are being hidden and/or trafficked to by the underworld. Suddenly, the owner of the spa is killed and Lucy's hair is found on the victim. Before she knows it, Lucy is on the run to clear her name, escape from danger, and discover who has enough power to make her a suspect. Lucy's life is on the line. You will not be able to put this book down. It is fast paced and has twists and turns like all good psychological thrillers. I recommend this author and the Lucy Kendall Crime Series. I will be reading as many as I can get my hands on. Thank you the publisher and NetGalley for the advance review copy in exchange for my honest review.

Private investigator Lucky Kendall continues her determination to bring justice to those that are not able to do it themself. Justice to children is all she can think about.
Will she have to pay for what she does?
Can she keep being this person that not only judges but takes it a step further?
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
