Absolutely superb. If you haven't read this series yet, you must. It ranks up there among my top crime series. Original. Gripping. Just wonderful

The Lonely Girls is the fourth and final book in the Lucy Kendall Crime Thriller. In the previous books I believed they could be stand-alone books, but after finishing this one I have changed my mind. I believe they are not stand-alone and meant to be read one after the other. I don't think you can appreciate one without having read the others.

This book begins with Lucy having moved to Virginia after taking a position with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. She is determined to start over and leave the past behind. But the past doesn’t want to let her go.

Lucy has received a few gifts that are taunts from someone who wants her to return home. A police officer walks into her office and tells her that she has been requested to return to a murder scene of a child she once protected. Lucy knows she has no choice but to return and hopefully end this once and for all.

Lucy reaches out to Kelly to let her know she will be returning. Before she returns Kelly is abducted. Each person who had been murdered was personal to Lucy, but now feeling more responsible than ever Lucy will go face off with a serial killer that is closer to her than she knew.

This is a wonderful suspenseful, psychological thriller. The writing is fantastic and will hold you in its hands until it is finished with you. You can feel the tension build to the final meeting. I like the characters in spite of their flaws. They are multi-dimensional which creates a love hate relationship with them. This series is well worth reading.

I absolutely LOVED this series by Stacy Green and could not wait to see how the storyline continued through each book. I believe all four books could be stand alone but it was very nice to be able to read them in order. The character development was outstanding and I was surprised how I went back and forth between each character seamlessly. I am looking forward to reading more by Stacy Green!!

In this fourth and final installment of the Lucy Kendall series, things come full circle. Lucy’s working in DC but is called to investigate a murder that exposes secrets about what happened when her sister died. How was their mother involved? What does this mean for the decisions Lucy made in the past and who she chooses to be going forward? Can she stop this unexpected villain before he murders her best friend, Kelly?
I enjoyed Lucy’s evolution over the four book series but was heartbroken by the turn of events in this book.
I listened to the first and last books, and read books 2&3. I preferred reading the books as the narrator was just ok for me.
*Thanks to Bookoutre and NetGalley for this advance review copy.

This is the 4th and final book in the Lucy Kendall series by Stacy Green. Lucy is now working at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexandria VA. She needs to go back to Philadelphia where her best friend Kelly is missing. She has 48 hours to find Kelly. The plot of this book has a twist that I didn't see coming and kept me reading as the book became unputdownable. We get lots of answers to questions about Lucy and her friends. The book is well-researched by the author and is a great ending to the Lucy Kendall series. If you like psychological thrillers then you will love this series. I would like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for a copy for an honest review.

A good end to the series and a solid four star read. Great premise. Well written. Good characters. Page turner. Plenty of suspense to keep me guessing but I guessed the culprit quite early on which was a shame. Would definitely read the next novel. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

Anxiety twisted my insides as I sat unable to put this final book in the Lucy Kendall series down!
This is a series you must read in order.
Lucy Kendall, the lead character is an ex CPS worker turned PI/vigilante who in book 4 attempts to overcome her dark side taking on a new role that will help her make a difference without hunting down and eliminating child predators, but will it last?
Amidst the suspense as you race to see the story unfold there was a moment that brought me to tears.
I had my thoughts before starting the book as to the direction it was going to take and it did, it was just how it would occur, and the end, who would be left standing.
As someone who moved to the US/Philly almost 4 years ago, 1 part of me loves when a book is set in a place I know, but have to say, this does have me wondering if I should just stay safe inside curled up with books then venturing out.

After the shocking events in The Girl in the Cabin, Lucy has had enough of Philadelphia and thanks to FBI Agent Lennox she's able to put her kills behind her and head to Washington D.C. Where she starts work at the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.

But Philadelphia isn't done with her and when a body is found with a message for Lucy she's drawn back in to a game of cat and mouse. With a killer she once new and never suspected.

And when her only real friend is taken, Lucy is determined to do whatever's necessary to get her back. Even if that means finally confessing to her killer past.

It's been a while since I last binge-read a series, but I had a blast with the Lucy Kendall books. The series is being republished with shiny new covers, titles and blurbs, and The Lonely Girls is the fourth and final book. And the series sure goes out with a bang! I wish I had met Lucy Kendall years ago, because this series turned out to be a perfect match for me. I do love a good serial killer thriller, and it doesn't get much darker and twisted than this... It's not often you come across a story where the main character is basically a sociopath serial killer, and this unique angle is one of the reasons this series worked so well for me. Book four turned out to be a worthy conclusion!

Before I continue, a little warning. This is definitely a series to read in order, both to avoid spoilers and to properly understand the characters, their background and their dynamics. It is also a series that isn't afraid to go dark and seriously twisted, so definitely not for those with a weak stomach... There is again less focus on the (child) abuse in this final book, but it's still there and the story isn't less brutal either. The Lonely Girls has another kidnapping that hits very close to home for Lucy, another serial killer to hunt and another race against the clock... The stakes are once again high if Lucy wants to save her friend; this time mainly on her own as she can't involve the police.

The main focus is on the kidnapping and Lucy trying to figure out who is behind it all and save her friend. There are plenty of shocking twists along the way, and one or two completely bowled me over. I never saw them coming, and they absolutely shocked me. This almost never happens anymore when I read thrillers, so that's definitely a bonus! It's also such a clever twist, and it makes you rethink everything you read before and everything you thought you knew. I don't want to give away too much of the plot to avoid spoilers, but let's just say that things will get very tough indeed for Lucy during this last book.

With everything that was happening, I literally couldn't stop reading and I finished The Lonely Girls in record time. Fast-paced, extremely disturbing and darker than the blackest night indeed! It was interesting to see how the series was wrapped up, although the way things ended does leave room for more Lucy Kendall in the future... I sure wouldn't complain if another book popped up at some point. I'm sticking with my advice that this is one of those series where it's better to go in without knowing too much about it though. Just make sure to prepare yourself for a seriously twisted, unique and disturbing ride. I won't be forgetting Lucy Kendall any time soon, that's for sure!

This fourth in the series was exciting and twisty and I really didn’t guess the ending at all. I raced through this one so quickly I got to the end without realising it. A brilliant read. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

Danger-filled return to Lucy's Philadelphia hometown😳

4.5🌟 stars
The strongest elements in this series, the unpredictability and fast-paced action, came back really strong in this last book in Stacy Green's Lucy Kendall crime series. I love Lucy's strength, her loyalty and sense of justice. When push comes to shove, she knows what's right and wrong; her constant struggle to beat back her dark side and guilt makes her story emotional and compelling.

The twists and turns of the plot were first-rate. This story also brings a nice degree of closure, or at least HFN, for Lucy and her friends as they face evil in the form of a crafty killer who gets his kicks from his victims' fear.

Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for sharing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest opinion.

Yes!
I mainlined this entire series in a week and this last installment was everything.
I knew there was a reason I didn't like Chris much from the first book. He was just too, too if that makes sense.
I might have punched the air when Todd finally kissed Lucy.
It was nice and sad to see Lucy's stepfather interact with her. And I'm so glad she finally confronted her mother.
While these four books make up one amazing series and the final book definitely went above and beyond in wrapping everything up, I would not turn away from more.
I received a complimentary copy via NetGalley, all opinions are my own.

Holy cow! I am going to have nightmares for days! Stacy Green takes you deep into humanity's level of depravity that will give you the shivers. Lucy Kendall has taken a new job with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCEMC). Kelly finally convinced Lucy to use her keen and intuitive skills and need to help abused children on the right side of the law. Everything is going pretty well until she is contacted by law enforcement when they find the body of a young girl. The killer left a special message for Lucy. The body has also been posed to look just like Lucy's sister's body looked when she found her dead in their bathroom floor many years ago. Lucy is shaken to her very core. Then to make matters even worse, someone has kidnapped Kelly (her best friend). She knows that the individual who has kidnapped Kelly is unhinged, unstable and bent on revenge against Lucy. She is instructed not to contact the police or he will kill Kelly.

If you are familiar with Lucy Kendall, you know she is a lone wolf ranger and thinks she can find Kelly herself without any assistance, and she plans to make the kidnapper pay for kidnapping the one person in the world that Lucy would die for.

Lucy Kendall is a wounded soul who has been trying to atone for her sister's death for years, even though she was not at fault. She is a wounded soul, but a brave soul as well. Her pain radiates off of the pages. She has seen the worse side of humanity. She knows that there are individuals who "blend into society like a rat living in a sewer."

I got sucked into this book from the beginning even though it was creepy. I could not put it down. I knew that Stacy Green had to finish up this fantastic psychological series with this book. I never dreamed she would finish it the way she finished it. The twists were earth shattering and mouth gaping. You definitely need to read these four books in order so you will understand the full story.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The Lonely Girls is the 4th and final book in the Lucy Kendall Series.

Lucy is trying to stay focused on her work with the missing and exploited children agency. She is fighting to not return to her old ways when her best friend Kelly is kidnapped.

She has been told not to involve the police and tries to find answers on her own. But the more she searches the more suspects on who could have Kelly arise.

When she realizes who has her, she is even more terrified for Kelly.

Another roller coaster ride of finding the truth.

I was satisfied with the ending of the book and series.

I read all 4 books back to back and am ready for a nice, relaxing read now. I loved the series but I'm done with child abuse etc. for a while.

Many thanks to netgalley and Bookouture for the arc.

It is finally time for the truth, and it may hurt in more ways than one. Great ending to a great series! This book has a different pace, because there is a tight timeline for Lucy, if she wants to save her best friend's life. Kelly is abducted and Lucy is not allowed to contact the police. She needs the help of her friends though, but can she trust them all?

A lot happens in this book. It is an emotional read, and Lucy has to face her past in a way she never thought she would. Such a roller coaster of a read! I could not put the book down. I have clearly grown attached to Lucy, a person who has murdered several people. How is that for a change? Highly recommended!

This book 4 in the Lucy Kendall series and really needs to have the previous 3 books read prior to this one, otherwise much of the backstory and context will be lost to a first time reader of the series.

In terms of the story itself, it was a good thriller but even better was all of the previous story lines were resolved in this one. It was a fitting end to the series and having read the entire series, felt like I was able to leave the characters behind after this book.

Thank you to the Author, Publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and give an unbiased review of a complimentary digital copy of an ARC.

Book 4 in the Lucy Kendall - this series just gets better and better. Lucy had loved to DC for a new job opportunity. She’s settling into her new life when things come to a screeching halt when once again the past comes back to haunt her. Super quick read and non stop action. Will Lucy be able to save Kelly before it’s too late?
While this seems like the end of Lucy’s story, maybe we can hope for a new instalment in this series!
