Detective Amanda Steele keeps the story going...a love interest...murders to solve...working with those she likes and admires...a new daughter...family and friends...love and romance...and the serial killer she is searching for...someone killing mothers and their daughters...too close to home...this talented author has written another novel that is a cannot put down...a page turner...characters come alive on the pages of this book. I did not guess the ending...thought it was one of the husbands...this book comes to a satisfying, but sad, ending...as always, this author does not disappoint. I look forward to reading Amanda Steele's next story. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher and this author.

Her Final Breath by Carolyn Arnold is book #7 in the Detective Amanda Steele series. A gruesome discovery in Prince Park starts off this thrilling mystery. Detective Amanda Steele and her partner Detective Trent Stenson attend the scene of the discovery of the bodies of a woman and they assume her daughter found in a shallow grave in the park. They match the photos in a missing persons case - Jill Archer and her six-year-old daughter Charlotte. They both realize this is going to be a tough case but they work tirelessly to solve it. I enjoyed the back and forth between Amanda and Trent and also how they support each other. They seem to be great partners. I couldn't help but feel their frustration with the domestic abuse situations in the story. I like this author's writing style and I look forward to the next book in the series.
