I did not guess the ending...thought it was one of the husbands...this book comes to a satisfying, but sad, ending...as always, this author does not disappoint. Detective Amanda Steele and her partner Detective Trent Stenson attend the scene of the discovery of the bodies of a woman and they assume her daughter found in a shallow grave in the park. They match the photos in a missing persons case - Jill Archer and her six-year-old daughter Charlotte. They both realize this is going to be a tough case but they work tirelessly to solve it. I enjoyed the back and forth between Amanda and Trent and also how they support each other. They seem to be great partners. I couldn't help but feel their frustration with the domestic abuse situations in the story. I like this author's writing style and I look forward to the next book in the series.
