This is one of those books where the supporting characters are just as interesting as the main ones! I really enjoyed the sisters and their distinct personalities. The author did a great job distinguishing them one from another. Sometimes that can be hard when writing with a fuller "cast" but author Misty Beller does it perfectly. The story flowed well with some historical facts weaved in flawlessly. If you enjoy Christian western stories, you will like this book and series!

This was such an intriguing story! I absolutely loved it! I wasn’t fully prepared to become emotionally attached to the characters but that’s exactly what happened.

I enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book in the series. From the ending I really thought the next book was going to be about a different sister than it is, guess I will just have to wait longer!

The cover of this book set me up for a enjoyable read and I was not disappointed. Rocky Mountain Rendezous has a nice pace, not to fast, and when it looks like you will hit a little lull give you just enough of a twist to keep the pace. Overall a nice relaxing read that does not take to much thought but still keeps you interested.

The sisters are interesting characters and their devotion to each other is admirable. Its refreshing to read about a character who does not have a super tragic backstory, some sad bits yes but not over the top as CF seems to be falling into the trap of. The hero Rileys story is rather tragic but it is integral to the story of why such a good man has sequestered himself to a solitary trappers life.

The time period and setting was enjoyable to read about. The scruffy mountain men who were both friend and enemy. I appreciate the author not making the Indians all waring bands but also hero's.... and from the ending possibly one sisters love interest in a future book? I look forward to that story as the personalities of the two would make for a very interesting story.

This begins a new series with four sisters from the East, venturing into the mountains on a quest to locate a Native woman who saved their father's life, returning her heirloom beads. Each sister has a unique personality, and I loved the way they complemented each other. Rosemary is the natural leader as the oldest and can be a bit domineering, but they all look to Juniper as well for thoughtful wisdom. Lorelei has a soft heart for animals, nurturing a coyote pup on their journey. Faith is enthusiastic and up for adventure, and follows the lead of her sisters. I was nervous for them as they stayed at the rendezvous with all the mountain men and no protector or guardian, even though they had weapons. Riley immediately saw their need for an advocate and fills the role slightly begrudgingly. The sisters learn to value his input, while not letting him dissuade them from their goal. There was a sense of anticipation with each Indian camp they visit, searching for Steps Right. I loved the natural chemistry between Juniper and Riley, and the sweet, slow burn romance that develops. The sisters made a pact at the beginning of their journey to not depend on any man or start a relationship, which provides the conflict in Juniper's mind as Riley becomes more integral to their mission. While they make some discoveries, the hunt for Steps Right continues and it seems that it will be the overarching plot that connects all the books in the series.

I loved how this story focused on different people groups. A lot of times Native American characters are minor characters or overlooked but in this story the main characters are looking for native women who influenced their father in the past. I loved the dynamic between the sisters.

This was a really interesting idea for a book - I had high hopes for it and was really excited to read it. The story was intruiguing, but the way it was told was really hard to read. I felt that the author didn't include enough descriptive language to make me feel like I was in the story. The writing style didn't connect with me as a reader, and I found 80% of my way into the book that I wasn't interested in the story anymore and didn't care to finish.

When the Collins sisters lose their father and are now parentless they know that his dying wish must be the first thing they do before they can go on with their lives. What none of them would’ve guessed was the incredible journey to the Wyoming wilds would be truly life changing, and open their eyes to a whole new way of living.

Twenty years ago, their father’s life was saved by a Peigan Blackfoot woman named Steps Right and he had sent a gift that he wanted to make sure she received. The sisters do not understand the importance of why their father wants them to find her, and hope that finding the Peigan woman will help them understand the full picture. It is this mystery of finding Steps Right and finding out her story that kept me reading, as there are so many things that it could be and this woman is the only one that has answers.

The Wyoming wilds in mid-1800’s was a scary place in and of itself, but four women traveling alone was no ideal during this time period in general, which is why when they meet a mountain man named Riley Turner, he is truly a blessing in more ways than one. Riley’s character is perfection in my eyes, as he immediately feels a protectiveness over the sisters, and a connection to one sister in particular. He’s a strong presence and has such patience and skill that it was wonderful to watch him traverse the wilds, and help the Collins sisters speak to the various tribes in the region as they search for Steps Right.

I loved all of the characters and their interactions with one another, especially the bond between the sisters, as well as the tribe members. Native Americans hold a special place in my heart, as that is part of my own heritage, and I liked seeing them depicted in a positive light.

This was a wonderful escape and a beautiful story that I enjoyed immensely.

Unfortunately I didn't finish this title as the plot and characters didn't interest me. This book will probably moreso suit readers of Mary Conneally, however, who enjoy prairier/western vibes

I like Misty M Beller. I've read two previous series by her (Hearts of Montana & Brides of Laurent). The description of Rocky Mountain Rendezvous didn't sound as exciting to me as some of her other books, but I felt she had enough track record with me to request it. The description kept me from diving in immediately, but I finally got around to reading this one and I did enjoy it.

Juniper is the second oldest sister of the four Collins sisters and the main female character of this story. She isn't the natural leader, that would be Rosemary--the eldest. But she is fiercely protective of her sisters putting her forward in many situations. The sisters were tasked by their father on his deathbed to return a necklace given to him by a Peigan healer when she saved his life many years ago. Despite the danger to them all, they set out on this mission. And they are determined to see it through. Even still, they do have a plan for after. They just didn't have any clue how difficult finding one woman would be in the Colorado wilderness.

Riley is a trapper and immediately takes on the role of protector for the Collins sisters. He can't believe that they know the potential dangers they face among the men of the rendezvous. Since he's determined to protect them, he also takes on the role of guide on their journey in searching for Steps Right. Riley does have an almost immediate attraction to Juniper although he doesn't have any romantic feelings for quite a while.

The journey of searching for Steps Right is what gives Riley and Juniper a chance to form a connection and develop further feelings for each other. Juniper and her sisters did have an agreement that no matter what they would not allow their attentions to be swayed by any men on their trip. And I appreciated their judgment to determine to pay for any services offered by a man along the way to not become indebted or beholden to any man in any way.

As per usual in Misty M Beller's books, there's also a bit of mystery. Steps Right isn't found among any of the native tribes they visit. Although more than one Native American they meet reacts a little oddly when they ask about her. Also, horses seem to be getting stolen from the rendezvous. Who is behind the thievery?

Rocky Mountain Rendezvous had a really slow start. I struggled to get into the book because it took longer than I wanted for the characters to connect in a meaningful way. The beginning at least was full of necessary setup and the overall plot of trying to find Steps Right. Necessary, sure, but I prefer romance-driven books where the relationships are driving the story. I am intrigued about future books in the series so I do look forward to finding out which sister will be the focus of the next book. Rocky Mountain Rendezvous gets 3.5 Stars. I was a little late to the party in reading the first book in the new series Sisters Of The Rockies by Misty M. Beller. I've been in the process of downsizing and moving homes and I knew I wouldn't want to put the book down once I started it. Boy was I right, I absolutely LOVED Rocky Mountain Rendezvous! Misty has hit it out of the park with this book which is full of mystery and intrigue, it's share of danger and of couse romance. I can't wait for the next in the series to learn which Collins sister ends up with whom.

As these four women set out on an adventure to return jewelry to a women because of a deathbed wish from their father, we are taken on a journey through beautiful and wild country. These lady's will find it is a very tough country also, It was interesting to see how they adjusted and finally trusted someone to help them accomplish the task their father asked of them.

I’ll always enjoy a good western romance, and Misty M. Beller hasn’t disappointed me yet. Paired with a mystery, this sweet romance had a bit of an adventure feel. With plenty of twists and turns, I was glued to the page.

Riley’s protective instincts endeared me to him from the beginning. I loved seeing him try to protect Juniper and her sisters at the Rendezvous and when they were out searching for Steps Right. And Juniper’s close relationship with her sisters made her relatable.

The romance is a bit of a slow burn, but it’s sweet. I enjoyed seeing these two fall for each other.

Overall, Rocky Mountain Rendezvous is a sweet western romance historical fans will love.

Sorry, this was a DNF for me. I just couldn’t get into the story. I found the plot too unrealistic. The pacing was too slow.

Ms. Beller has written a good historical fiction tale which moves at a good pace. The characters are believable and the romance is sweet and builds through out the story. The story is one of sisterly love and commitment to family which was sweet and refreshing. I recommend this to fans of historical fiction.

Do you have any authors who you always go back to when they have a new release? Misty M. Beller is one that I always trust to give me an amazing story with great characters set deep in the mountains. Her historical aspect of Rocky Mountain Rendezvous hooked me from the get-go. The sisters are quirky and fun and they're not about to let themselves get overruled by a bunch of men. They're women on a mission and nothing will stand in their way. I loved the constant tension the setting provided and how the author guided the reader on a satisfying adventure. I need the rest of the series so I know what happens next.

This is a great story with a strong, believable female protagonist. I don't read a lot of westerns, but even though it was a bit of a slow start for me, I became invested in the adventure, descriptions, and characters. I've read several books by this author and have yet to be disappointed.

This book is a great start to what, I’m sure, will be an amazing series. It was a little slow in the beginning but really picked up and pulled me into the story. Misty M. Beller has a new fan.

This book is an adventure to the Rocky Mountain area, in 1837, that shouldn’t be missed. I really enjoyed getting to know each of the sisters and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of them. Their bond is so sweet, the way the older sisters always watch out for the younger ones and put each other first were my favorite things about them. I really enjoyed their interaction with the trappers at the Rendezvous and the Native Americans during their search for Steps Right.

If you are ready for an adventure to the Rockies full of twists and turns, strong family bonds, and sweet romance then this book is definitely for you.

I haven’t read many books in this time period. I’ve seen television shows, and I enjoyed those, so I wanted to give this one a chance. The American Wild West is only a recent mystery I’ve unveiled, but I enjoyed seeing it through the lens of a romantic historical fiction. Yes, they are roughing it, but they acknowledge that. The author also did a wonderful job taking note of the tension between the government and the people during that time.

Juniper is a feisty main character. I liked watching her grow as a character and a woman fully capable of taking care of herself. She feels an intense responsibility to her family, and throughout the story she has to navigate how to handle going out on her own, falling in love, and leaving her family. The girls have made a promise to their deceased father to find a woman in his past. How that handle that journey was true to the time period and placed me wonderfully in the setting. For anyone curious about this time period I highly recommend this book. It’s a cleaner alternative to 1883 (the show) with the same vibes.

Misty Beller is an amazing author, I always know that I am in for an enjoyable time when she comes out with a new book. This book introduces us to four sisters that are trying to fulfill their father's dying wish. The ladies really had no idea what they had agreed to do. This book is really interesting as we learn a little bit more of what it was like to live in the mid 1800's in the wild west. Ms. Beller writes so well about the time period you would think she had lived then and is telling you stories about her friends. I read this book in one day, I just got so caught up in it. Looking forward to read more books in this series!
