Rocky Mountain Rendezvous is a great western movement story by Misty M. Beller. In the days of trappers and fur traders, four sisters head west to complete their father’s dying request. It is not until the very end that the significance of the beads he wished for them to return to a native woman becomes known. What an adventure that they have finding a new land, new friends and for one a true love.

Like so many of the men at the trapper rendezvous I thought perhaps they were too naive and vulnerable to be there. But God provided all that was needed, in ways that they had not expected or planned for as they traveled. Rocky Mountain Rendezvous was a captivating read. The end was just perfect which clearly showed the title for the series, Sisters of the Rockies

The publisher through Net Galley provided a digital ARC. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts.

Do you enjoy reading stories that are set during the 1800’s in the American west? If so, I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Rendezvous by Misty M. Beller. Juniper and her three sisters head west due to a dying wish from their father. He wants them to return some beads that were given to him by a woman named, Steps Right. Several years ago, when he was traveling through that particular area, he became ill and Steps Right took care of him. The four Collin sisters travel out west to try and find her. Unfortunately, they face a few obstacles when they arrive.

Rocky Mountain Rendezvous is a great historical fiction story full of adventure and romance!

Misty Beller takes us into a different adventure in the first novel of a new historical series, forging ahead with four sisters into the Western Frontier. The Collins women find plenty going on amid the wild annual trappers’ rendezvous, where as the only women they face more than they expected. I admire their bravery and perseverance as they search for the Native woman who once saved their dad’s life. The story holds plenty of action and danger along with a budding romance and a strong faith element. It should appeal to those who enjoy historical fiction with a bit of romance and suspense. The characters seem quite realistic as do their experiences, giving readers a feel for life in the wilderness in the mid-1800s. There are people to meet, lessons to learn, and places to explore. So grab a copy—you can easily read this in a day. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions are my own. #RockyMountainRendezvous #NetGalley

Enjoyable characters that I came to admire. Keeping a promise to their father they go against danger leading them in the mountains and Indians. A romance that brews and danger that lurks in the wilderness kept me flipping pages. I loved the tribes and interactions with the Indian villages, this all makes for an entertaining story. A great plot that is well written with enjoyable characters pulls you in and keeps you reading. I love this series, gives the reader a lot to think on and what life in that period of history would be like.
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my opinion.

Rocky Mountain Rendezvous reminded me a lot of Forged in Love by Mary Connealy. While the stories are very different, the feel of the book was very much the same. They both included slow burn romances, exploring new places, and danger. If you like one, I think you would enjoy the other as well.

One of the things I appreciated in this story was the relationships between Juniper and her sisters. I liked that she was close to all of them and was protective of them as well.

Riley was such an honorable man, and I love how he took it upon himself to help out the Collins sisters to guide and protect them. I liked that compared to most of the men that were living around the rendezvous, he was completely different and didn’t take on their attributes.

While I enjoyed these aspects, I did find this story quite slow for the first 60% of the book. The action and the romance really picked up near the end, and I found those parts quite enjoyable. I’m hoping that the sequel to this book will keep my attention more.

I’m curious where this story is going, and I would recommend it to readers who enjoy learning about 1830s history in the US, slow paced stories, and determined characters.

Rocky Mountain Rendezvous takes the reader on an interesting journey with the main characters through the west in the 1800s. As a lover of historical fiction, I loved many aspects of this book including the bond of the sisters and the journey they take to find the Native American woman for whom they are searching. I loved the ties of faith throughout this story as well. Overall, I enjoyed reading it and am excited to read future works by this author.

I loved this book! I can’t wait to read the next one. It did kind of end on a cliffhanger but not in a frustrating way. The Collin sisters are from Virginia looking for an Indian women who helped their father years ago. Now that he’s passed away they are searching for her to give something back to her. At the rendezvous camp they meet Riley and his friends who agree to keep them safe and help them find Steps Right. It’s a great read with adventure, romance and a bit of danger. Like all her books the story starts right at the beginning. No waiting around for things to get good. It starts off good!!

First thing first- The cover is gorgeous.

This is a cute Western with a slower pace and a heart warming storyline. The romance is a slow burn that creeps up on you and makes you smile. While this one wasn’t for me I do think there are many people who would love it!

If you enjoy historical fiction set in the American west, you have to add Misty M. Beller’s books to your TBR. Rocky Mountain Rendezvous, while a satisfying story itself, sets up a larger plot that I’m looking forward to learning more about throughout the series. There is a sweetly romantic subplot, a pet coyote pup, and beautiful imagery to enjoy in this first book. I’m excited to get to know all of these characters more! 4/5 stars

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Another great book by this author. I really enjoyed this historical fiction book and as usual it is filled with adventure and of course there is romance. I loved the story of the four sisters fulfilling their father's last request to return a special item to a Piegan Blackfoot woman who saved his life a long time ago. But where to find her, that is no easy task, if even possible at all. This was a Christian fiction which I totally enjoy. I enjoyed the love and caring that the sisters gave to one another.
Thanks to the publisher for a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Four sisters have been given a mission to head to the west and find an Indian woman whom their father encountered in his past in order to give her a gift upon his death. They are headed to a world that is predominately men, one where they know no one, and honestly have no real idea about how they are going to find the Indian they have been tasked to find. Yet fate is kind when they encounter Riley. He not only is an honorable man but he is willing to help them on their mission. This is a lovely tale of how sometimes meeting the right person can change the outcome of your life. People are sent to us at different times in our lives and if we are willing to accept them and their help, sometimes our lives can change for the better.
Thank you to Bethany House Publishers and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this title.

Rocky Mountain Rendezvous will take you on quite the journey out west! I really enjoyed the setting, characters, history and sweetness of the story. This was my first Misty Beller book and I’m eager to read the next in this series as it left off with a little bit of a cliffhanger – and ya’ll already know I NEED TO KNOW what happens next in a book like this! If you love sweet reads with historical elements, the rocky mountain setting, a western vibe and a character driven story, this is for you!

This story is all about Juniper Collins and her sisters, Rosemary, Faith and Lorelei. They travel to the Rocky Mountain Rendezvous in search of a Piegan Blackfoot woman that helped saved their father’s life many years ago. As they settle in the Green River Valley (future Wyoming), they stand out like a sore thumb in the midst of the rendezvous and Riley Turner comes along, compelled to help these ladies in their journey. The story kicks off from here as Riley Turner and his friends take it upon themselves to help these sisters find Steps Right – the Piegan Blackfoot woman.

I learned so much about the early 1830s rendezvous, where traders would meet to trade needed supplies. I had never heard about this so it’s always nice to learn about something in the past like this and research it on my own. It was so interesting to me. This is a very character driven story, I loved the sisters and their bond in strength together. Riley was a nice guy and I loved seeing him try to help them along the way. There was a nice light faith element as well, where the characters pray to the Lord and their thoughts go to Him many times. Some parts were a little slow for me, but I overall enjoyed the story and I’m super excited to continue on in the series. I love the way Misty brought this historical setting to life with a great adventure. Thank you to Bethany House, Baker Publishing and NetGalley for providing a copy to honestly read and review. I will also talk about this book on my YouTube channel, BookLoverAmanda in a reading vlog and end of month wrap up video.

I love when a book series follows a family, and that's exactly what this series will be doing: following four sisters as they journey through their young adulthood.

One of the many great things about historical fiction is all the new things you learn while reading. For example, I never knew about these rendezvous, where trappers and traders would meet to trade for the supplies they'd need for the next however many months. Nor did I know about the horse races that would take place there. I find these little tidbits fascinating!

Misty Beller is great at painting scenes with her words. You can picture the mountains, the wagons, the lodges, the horse races with ease. I do wish the characters had been a little more fleshed out. I didn't feel a strong connection to any of them, and didn't feel that there was a strong connection between any of the characters themselves other than the sisters.

I think the rest of the series will be interesting, and I look forward to following the sisters as they continue to grow.

"Rocky Mountain Rendezvous" is a romance set in 1837 in Wyoming territory. It's the first book in an ongoing series. Juniper's romance was wrapped up, but they'd only just gotten another lead about finding the Piegan Blackfoot woman that they're looking for. The sisters came out with a trading caravan for a big trapper rendezvous, assuming they'd quickly find the woman and return with the caravan. Only, they didn't bring any supplies for their stay, the trappers only traded for enough for themselves, and the women decided to stay even after the caravan departed...

Riley protected the women and guided them to the various bands of Blackfoot. Riley and Juniper spent a lot of time together getting to know each other's past and character. They became friends, then came to more deeply care for each other. They worked well together and built each other up. Historical details about the trappers and local Indian tribes were woven into the story. The main characters were engaging, complex, and reacted realistically to events. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this interesting story.

An adventure with the Collins sisters made this historical fiction novel set in the 1800's a page turner. I felt that the other three sisters (Lorelei, Faith, Rosemary) needed a bit more character development as it was hard to distinguish between the three of them throughout the course of the book. Dual POVs helped as a reader understand both Riley and Juniper. However, I feel that the POVs could have been more straightforward, it seemed as if one blurred into another and I often struggled to remember who's POV I was reading in.

Rocky Mountain Rendezvous is such a fun historical fiction novel that takes you back in time and makes you feel as if you were really there. I loved this new start to a series from one of my favorite historical fiction authors. Misty M Beller is amazing at bringing the old west to life within your mind and on the page. I can’t seem to get enough of her books.

This book has quite a bit of fun and laughter in it. You have four women who are out trying to do something for their father. It was his last wish. They’re to take a special set of beads to a Blackfoot Piegan woman who had saved their father’s life. The girls have never been west but off they go!

THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY’RE IN FOR!
And thus the fun begins!

When they get west to a Rendezvous area there are lots of men. I mean lots of men! One man decides to step up and help the girls, protect them, and try not to leave his heart in the process. All of the sisters have made a pact that they will not become romantically involved during this trip.

But can Juniper resist him?

I loved this book. It read quickly. The characters were wonderful and gripped me. I didn’t want to leave them for even a minute. Bring on the rest of the series so I can see what else the sisters get into!

it was amazing

I enjoy all of these territorial stories from the early 1800s and author Misty Beller writes the best. Rocky Mountain Rendezvous, book one of the sisters of the Rockies series, takes place in future Wyoming, 1837. The interaction with the different Indians, hard travel on horses and the potential threat of wild animals all add to the excitement. Like hunting for a needle in a haystack, Juniper and her three sisters are trying to fulfill their dying father’s last wish by hunting a Piegan Blackfoot Indian woman that saved his life.
Riley came out west to live and supported himself by trapping. Meeting these four women and realizing they had no clue what dangers could be around them, he volunteers himself to be their guide and protector.
The description of the scenery, the fresh clean air and wide open spaces almost made me want to be there in that time period but I would have never survived. These characters lived and worked in only what they knew and were made of tough and sturdy material.
What an adventure that I immersed myself in as I turned page after page! Loved it.

When Riley stumbles upon four sisters that have no business being at the rendezvous. He can’t figure out what they were thinking. He immediately feels as if he needs to reach out to help them to keep them safe. Riley quickly learns that these four girls are determined to finish their mission.

The book quickly drew me in to the unique storyline. What a brave group of girls to help fulfill their commitment to their father! I enjoyed the unique personalities of the sisters and how they were true to themselves throughout the story. Beller always has a creative way to bring a new story to the genre.

I would definitely recommend this book. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own and I was not required to leave a positive review.

Historical romance readers will enjoy this story of four sisters on their Rocky Mountain quest to fulfill their father's dying request. This unlikely tale highlights the rugged life in the mountains during the 1880's. Will the sisters find Steps Right and answers to their questions? Enjoyable.
