This was a charming and heartwarming read. The characters are relatable and the story is engaging. I found myself rooting for Elken and Caleb throughout the book.
Many thanks to Random House and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

I loved Caleb, he is charismatic and drew you in right away. Ellen was a bit hard at first but she grows on you as you begin to understand her back story. Great book, looking forward to the next book in the series.

Along Came Trouble had a pretty lame plot. She's the sister of a pop star and is hiding from paparazzi because her neighbor dated her brother. That's the book. Throw in a hunky security manager and crazy jackass ex-husband you have Along Came Trouble.

This book was well written and created just enough intrigue to make me want to see more. While there is some cliché to the whole bodyguard-client romance, technically Caleb isn’t a real bodyguard and Ellen isn’t the his client. There is a bit of boy-next-door in that Ellen keeps seeing Caleb around town and he is working up the nerve to ask her out crossed with two people from different circles being thrown together due to circumstances. It’s a nice mix of the expected plot lines to create something that is both new and comforting in its familiarity.

Jamie and Carly’s romance is so strong this book is basically two intertwined plots, rather than one being of more import than the other. If Jamie and Carly had their plot started in the first book, then it is understandable that it was resolved in this second novel in order to tie up that loose end. I admit that perhaps their story wasn’t enough for a full-length novel, but it was strong enough to stand on its own.

I not only want to go out to buy this book (it was from the library), but if I owned it I would be willing to loan it to a friend so they could enjoy it too.

Ellen Callahan is a single mother who has worked hard for everything she has. When her brother becomes a pop star it brings the paparazzi to her door. Used to taking care of matters on her own, Ellen plans to do just that until Caleb Clark shows up on her doorstep claiming to be her bodyguard.

Caleb is trying his best to be stay professional with Ellen but it is getting hard to deny the attraction he feels for her. Caleb has a lot on his plate when he decides he is going to have Ellen, but can Ellen let Caleb in or will she push him away?
