As enjoyable as volume 1, despite less happening. This volume is more about establishing some characters and setting up the alliance between Bam, Khun, and Rak.

Rak is definitely a himbo. Pure of heart (in that he only desires to be strong, not that he’s nice or anything, he’s a bit of a Goku, really) and dumb of ass. Everyone else has hidden motivations, but Rak is in it for the challenge. And I love him.

The challenges this time are a psychological test, with supposedly no clues and death as a consequence, and a more battle-royale style game, which only gets halfway done before the volume ends.

I’m certainly interested in continuing the series, but do hope it picks up. There’s little involving underlying plot, here, so it feels mostly like nothing happened. I know a bit of what occurs in volume 3, which is where there’s more worldbuilding and character reveals. So, here’s to hoping for volume 3!

"Stars are just a legend. . ." - Khun

Twenty-Fifth Bam passed Lero Ro's test without even trying, setting off little alarms within the administrator's head. Lero Ro decides not to kick Bam out of the Tower because something interests him about the boy. Bam has gained two new companions since passing the last test maybe with their help he can find Rachel.

Rak, Khun, and Bam test each other and help one another out even without actively trying to. Their odd dynamic and agreement to be a team will be tested the more they move forward. Pasts are starting to come about as friendly warnings are being stated. Opponents are showing their true colors, the tests are growing more difficult, and so much more.

". . .the world never waits for you to choose an answer." - Han Sung Yu

Bam is making headway through the trails only now he won't have to go it alone. Even if his new teammates aren't fully his friends, Rak seeing him as prey helps to add to the comedy. Bam's determined to get to the top and find Rachel. His mind is set, and he knows what he wants, just getting to the top is going to be a challenge. Tests are growing a little harder as the participants are narrowed down.

With this installment we get to see more into the background of Khun and why he's such an untrusting young man. He's very sharp and cunning but he holds himself back. Sometimes being too in your head is a dangerous thing. I really enjoyed seeing the balance the unlikely trio gifts one another. None of them fully comprehending it until situations happen and the lightbulb clicks on. I laughed a couple of times at the irony of it all.

Bam's also realizing just how different he is from all the other participants. Trying to keep it a secret that he may possibly be something else because he came from outside the Tower. Everyone around him seeming to have been born and raised within the Tower. You can tell this is going to be a coming-of-age story for Bam. Our innocent and compassionate boy has a long way to go.

This story is a YA fantasy read. I loved how we get to see other teams and their dynamics alongside Bam's team. I also enjoy how the opponents underestimate one another finding out quickly that was a mistake. Anaak is becoming one of my favorite characters along with Khun. I really cannot wait for the next volume to see the progression of a certain test! Rak is also the best comic relief and I love the way the author has drawn him. Some panels are just hysterical with some of the expressions he makes.

The trials are brutal and some of the combatants die. Bloodshed and violence are present but is censored out or darkened out with shadows. Language is also censored out with symbols but implied. If you watch the anime, be advised that there is language in it and slight gore shown but nothing over the top. This manga doesn't have any nudity or fanservice.

We do end off with a cliffhanger. If you do not wish to wait for the next installment, then on Webtoon's the next episode is number twenty-two (season one). If you want to watch the anime, then episode 4, almost to the end of the episode, is where the manga leaves off at. But with the anime I think a couple of arcs are being sped up. We do get foreshadowing with this volume along with subtle hints, and I am really excited to see what happens next!

I'm so happy this series is finally being published! Do enjoy the read and don't forget to give the author some stars!

I enjoyed the artwork and the characters but the actual story telling dragged a bit for me. I felt the battle for the crown went on a bit too long.

This volume was great. The story is well written and pacing is far more interesting than the first volume, as all of the intro stuff is mostly done. Can't wait for the next volume

This picks up right where volume one left off. The teams are have more task they need to get through to be able to climb the tower and reach their goal.

This volume was a lot slower paced than the last one. We see one quick tasks and then a game for in between tasks. The game is where the most action occurs and we really get to see more from the side characters. The game really pulled me back into the story! It was fun and exciting and gave a little more details about the world.

With it being slower, I did struggle a little bit with this volume. I think it’s fascinating and there are a lot of layers to it that we don’t even have all the pieces too yet. I’m highly interested in continuing this to see what all happens as it’s such an interesting story.

A great follow up/continuation to the original TOG release! The colors are fantastic and the story is still as thrilling and goose-bump raising as ever! The protagonist Bam is quickly learning a lot while traversing the tower. I can't wait to see what the next floor may bring! S.I.U's captivating writing style quickly caught my attention as a reader back when Tower of God was being released on another platform. The fast paced grip of the story kept me on the edge of my seat at all times whilst reading! I definitely would recommend this book to anyone looking for an original story with relatable and complex characters.

A creative YA adventure story with a lot of potential, but has pacing issues.

We're following Bam as he travels up levels of a mysterious tower, needing to pass various dangerous puzzles and quests to ascend. The beginning of this story starts strong with Bam and his motley crew of teammates challenged to open one of 10 doors, opening the incorrect door will equal death. We're able to see how various teams pass the test and move on to the next challenge, which is a game of capture the 'crown'. However, the pacing falls apart here for me as we spend the rest of the book watching various characters trying to fight and strategize over the crown. Here character development was sacrificed for action sequences.

This book is best read while wearing a crown with a dagger hidden in your socks.

Thank you to NetGalley and Webtoon for this advanced reader copy.

Hello everyone, it's me, here today with an experiment in that we will actually be reviewing the second volume of something for once. This is for Tower of God vol. 2 by SIU. We originally gave this series a middling recommendation back in volume 1, so I thought it would be fun to see how, if at all, things have improved. For full disclosure, both volumes were provided for free by the publisher.

One of the biggest issues we had the first time was with the relentless exposition dumps that somehow managed to fill entire pages with text but ultimately tell us nothing. I am very happy to report: that is no longer the case. Even when the occasional wall of text appears, it's done with intent and communicates an internal thought process rather than the audience being monologued at.

The artwork remains "just fine," however the layout of each page has become far more interesting. It's always a good sign of creative development when you can use layout to communicate the mental state of the perspective character, that's just good design and I can't knock it. Speaking of characters, did you know that Tower of God stars more people than just Rak Wraithraiser? I too was shocked to discover otherwise. Bam's development has a pulse, we get insight into Khun's twisted backstory, and I can now identify the cast by personality instead of just clothing.

The world of the Tower continues to fascinate me with every new snippet of information we come across, like how the sky isn't real, it's a facsimile and just the Tower's ceiling. For my money, the setting is the single most potent aspect of the story being told here and the real reason why this series continued to live on in my head. If you, like me, were not particularly impressed by the first volume, I encourage you to try volume two as the increase in quality is substantial.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I'm hooked from the first book. I greatly enjoyed reading about Bam and Rachel and this volume picks up directly from where the 1st left off. I felt like I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire trial Bam went through. I am excited to hopefully add this to our classroom library and introduce my students to more Korean indie comics.

5 stars!
Yall need to read this manhwa right now frrrr!!! I have been the biggest fan of TOWER OF GOD ever since I have read this manhwa from the webtoon APP. I am so happy that there is a physical copy release in May and I can't wait for this manhwa to release! Please purchase the manhwa physical copy if you guys can cause I love this manhwa so much!

This manhwa is what everyone is looking for such as fantasy, action packed, drama, betrayal, participating in activities where your life is at risk. This manhwa really blew my mind when I read this in my middle school and I still read this manhwa religiously. I love the how the main character, Bam is an OP! He isn't weak and he tries his best to survive the games despite facing hardships. My favorite character is Khun and Rak hahahah, Rak is such a funny character and I love how Khun really cares for Bam. I got so emotional everytime I see Bam and his friends go through an obstacle and it stings my heart. I love this manhwa so much and the adventures in. this manhwa keeps you on your toes. Once you read this manhwa, you are on for a long ride.

Thank you Webtoon, Wattpad, SIU, and Netgalley for providing me this opportunity to read this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I hope I get to read the next copy of TOG when the third volume releases HAHAHAHA Gosh I love this manhwa so much!!!

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy of this book!

I binged Tower of God over quarantine and it's become my favorite Webtoon. There are so many things going on and so many mysteries to solve that it's difficult to feel bored with this series. The art is a bit choppy in the first season but it gets so much better, trust me.

I really enjoy this series so much! Volume two is just as good!

I am so happy to review this for free, so thank you.

As always, I already read this part through webtoon, but I wanted to give a review to the second volume. This starts when Bam gets through yet another challenge, climbing up the tower. They ask him why he wanted to go. He mentions about the girl and then he talks about never seeing the blue thing, which is the sky.

This series has the most interesting challenge, although it's only the beginning so I can't wait to see how they do this for the next volume!

All in all, I love the set up of this graphic novel.

I do recommend this to people who wants something different or watch the anime as well. Because this whole series is really good!

Thank you, Net Gallery, for the advanced copy.
I have enjoyed the series so far and plan to continue reading about the journey to the top of the tower.

Although I was approved for this, I was unable to download on any of the three devices I have. I was instead given error messages and source code. I've downloaded from the proper link several times and it appears to happen each time. I thought changing to a different device, would help, but I still continued to have to save issue. I am not sure of this is a netgalley issue as I have not come across it yet, or if the provider's link has since been broken, but I have to say I was disappointed I could not read the next installment.

Thank you Wattpad WEBTOON Bok Group and Netgalley to be once again an ARC reader.
Here are my honest thoughts of the series so far:
A fascinating and adventurous continuation of the first volume. It keeps you on your toes. Emotionally, I think it is pulling quite a lot of my heartstrings again. It's fascinating to see how people try to climb the tower out of different motifs. Bam has previously entered the tower to find his friend, Rachel, again. Not letting go off this wish, he keeps on continuing his path. However, it's also getting more dangerous the further he gets.
As I said before, this is a wonderful continuation. I'm patiently waiting for more. (4.5 stars)

This is such an interesting one to me. It's not necessarily a story/artwork that I rant and rave about but I always seem to find myself picking it out over others first and waiting for the next volume.

Thank you to NetGalley, Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, WEBTOON Unscrolled, and S.I.U. for the opportunity to read Tower of God Volume 2 in exchange for an honest review.

This manga picks up right were volume one left off and continues the tasks for the teams to climb the floors of the tower.

Fun art. Excellent motion action sequence drawings. The tests of each floor continue to be unique and unexpected. The characters on the various teams are all rather interesting as well. The monthly weapons grow ever more intriguing too. Their concept is quite relatively unique with a lot of promise.

This is a pretty engaging series, full-color, and I really want to keep up with this one.

I am absolutely obsessed with this story. I cannot wait for more! Being the second installment, I don't want to give too much away, but if you liked the first volume I think you'll be equally as happy with this one!
Give me more! *Shakes fist at sky*
