I actually have read this book before I got it again for Netgalley. I had just forgotten I already owned and read it.

I did like the plot and I have bought several other Ophelia London books because I liked this one and another I read by her about the soldier.

The writing style is easy to follow and I do like the covers, they are always so cute.

This was a four star rating at the time I read it.

Mackenzie and Rick are friends and each other’s go to dates, and though they both want more, they don’t say anything, not wanting to rock their friendship boat. Mac sets up Rick with her cousin and they plan a double date getaway. But with the storm their dates get delayed and being stranded together makes things happen.
This was a sweet, feel good read with likable characters and smith flowing story line.

Kind of new.

Mac and Rick have been hanging out casual-like for about a month.
They are starting to catch the feels for each other, but can't see what's in front of them.

The bones of a great book were there but I didn't connect with the characters or story in this one.

Rick and Mackenzie were frustrating. She would often get in her own way and he seemed a little oblivious. I just couldn't connect with either of them. Also, the plot pacing felt uneven. It would move slowly and then a lot would happen all at once.

I did like the set up for the story and there were some secondary characters/stories that sounded interesting. I would like to try another book from the author as it might be this one was just not for me.

I'm going to be honest, I walked into this book knowing that it wouldn't be too deep which is why I gave it 4 stars, but if you just read the synopsis and start reading, you will be a little confused as to why so much was glossed over.

The book picks up a couple months after Playing at Love, and Mac and Rick are now platonic dates for each others events. Mac is not really big into rich guys and Rick is, well, rich. Mac decides the best thing to do is to set Rick up with her really attractive cousin Brandy and the story continues as they figure out what they feel for each other.

The premise of this book was fantastic, I really enjoyed the story line. However, everything was very surface level, I didn't really understand why Mac didn't like rich guys and Brandy was brought in too late to actually be a threat for Rick. Rick is also typical a rich guy, but he isn't? I didn't understand his dynamics with his family and it kind of left me confused.

In order to properly review this book, I read the first book in the series, which I would recommend doing to understand how Mac and Rick meet. All in all, I don't think this is a bad book if you want something light and quick.

I received an ARC via NetGalley for an honest review.

This was a good story. It was a bit slow and took quite a bit of time to start. I liked the writing style. It was engaging and I was intrigued. It has a lot of potentials. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

A cute and fun story about friends who really likes each other but decides to date others anyways. It's got lots of fun and cute moments. The heroine and hero are both likable. An enjoyable read.

I reveived this novel from netgalley and the publicer as an arc . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

This is just cute and sweet PG 13 romance.
It wasn't something that wowed me, but it was cute.
They are just so cute together.
I don't really love that misunderstanding type of romances by this was a sweet one.

3 stars.

A funny romantic story about two friends who are in love but they are not together because of what had happened in the past. When the secret came out Mac had no more reasons to stay away from Rick .

Rick and Mackenzie story, this is an okay afternoon read. Friends falling for each other when they feel they see them with someone else, I would have liked to see more sass from her and the feelings she had towards his father were a bit overdone., but otherwise an okay read.

Requested and downloaded this book back in 2013 with every intention of reading it but then it expired on my device before I had the chance. Have felt bad about that and as a result haven't wanted to leave a review but with more and more publishers relying on Feedback ratings I need to clear out some of these older titles in my queue.
