Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and author for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. I laughed my head off throughout the whole book. The hairless cat was the best! I loved the spunk and sparks between Chase and Bell. The storyline was great. And as always, I love a great romance. Definitely a great read!

This was my first Sara L. Hudson book, and I absolutely loved it. The story itself was just so good. Chase & Bell had hilarious inner monologues, great banter and amazing chemistry. The side characters were a huge part of this story and they were all really well written. This was a great romantic comedy and I will definitely be doing a dive into this authors previous books.

An office forbidden romance of sorts and whilst it can be quite funny it is also on the steamy side. I enoyed Campbell and Chase as our two main characters but did not get on board with any of the supporting cast and Chase's father was almost enough to put me off entirely. The character was so classically old man miserly evil and the 'plot twist' at the end and is demise was reminiscent of trashy american tv. Those things don't necessarily ruin the book if you like those character types and style of story but I don't and so whilst the main characters and their story I enjoyed the rest was a little meh or cringe.

I really enjoyed it, a genre and trope I love so I found it funny and cute. Similar to Meghan Quinn/ Olivia hayle

I loved this so much!!! Firstly thank you to @netgalley for this eARC! This was originally published as A Little Moore Action but this re-published version is released on 31/1 (and is available on KU👀)

Campbell (aka Bell) owns her own marketing firm, King Marketing, when she is recruited by Moore’s (a popular high end department store in New York) to lead their revamp and social media campaign. Upon meeting Chase Moore (the new boss of Moore’s) the two have an instant undeniable connection but of course there’s no way Campbell is dating the boss…

This was so funny! I thought the characters were all well developed. Bell was a very strong FMC who has been wronged in the past and I thought it really highlighted how much judgement women face compared to men for the same mistakes. Chase was such a sweetheart and just wanted to do right by everyone 🥺 also he has a Sphinx cat called Mike Hunt which I think is hilarious 😂

Would defo recommend everyone checking this out!! The only slight issue I had was it was dual POV (which don’t get me wrong I loved!) but it switched POV in the middle of the chapter which I found a bit confusing at times?? I would have preferred that a new chapter was just started…

4 stars for enjoyment!
This book is exactly what I needed in my current mind-frame. Light, funny (sometimes awkwardly, sometimes obnoxiously), fun, had me smiling, and has me looking forward to the next books in the series!

Thank you to the publisher for the ARC via Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

I loved this, it was so much fun! It's a light and fun read with a bit of comedy thrown in.

At times I felt like Chase's POV was childish and I'd say that if you're looking for a grumpy, stoic billionaire type character, then you won't get it here. His character is more playboy that likes to crack innuendo jokes and general joker than the strict businessman character arc.

The cover is questionable, and so is the title but the actual story is a good read and had me laughing internally. However, I did find the jokes about the Sphynx cat to be repetitive!

Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Totally loved this read - the type of book I fly through without putting it down. I loved Chase and his character development and how the relationship came along with him and Campbell.

This is my first time reading the work of this author and she did not disappoint. This book had me fixated from start to finish.

This is a story about a spare child who has been browbeaten by his father but refuses to stay down and another who has been smeared but has risen out of the ashes like a phoenix.

I enjoyed the description of the city that never sleeps- New York. From the glittering high rises in Manhattan to the various scaffoldings and Central Park, you cannot help but fall in love with the City.

I like familial books-books that celebrate families or highlight discord among members. The author used this book to show that even though some families may appear put together on the outside, there may be festering sores when you look within.

I enjoy how the romance blossomed between Chase and Bell. Their story is worth reading and recommending to others. This book was about them and the author made them own the story.

I love how Chase was able to stand up to his father and become his own man in the face of all he had to grown through. Bell had my heart from the start with the way she rose against all that was meant to pull her down.

I love Mike Hunt and his role in the story. He was given a job and he delivered. I also enjoyed the Elvis reference and there is indeed an Elvis song for all situations.

There was also good character development- there was progression from all of the characters throughout the book, even from the supporting ones.

The epilogue was fantastic. I love when a story comes together. I look forward to reading more works from the author.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and I am voluntarily leaving my review.

I thoroughly enjoyed this short, steamy, romance. There are some points that made me laugh out loud, much to the amusement of my family! Chase Moore takes over the running of retail store Moore’s of New York when brother Thomas quits. To bring it up to date in a world of social media, he brings in Campbell King and her marketing company. There is an instant attraction but will anything happen? My favourite character by far was ‘Mike Hunt’ Chase’s cat. Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my gosh. Another awesome book that only slightly overlaps with her previous ones. I couldn’t put it down. Absolutely adore the story and can’t wait to read more in the future.

I really enjoyed this book! It was an easy light read and the characters had great chemistry. I enjoyed how it wasn’t rushed and you got to know about the side characters as well for possible spin offs!

When your father hates your guts you'll do anything to annoy him . When your brother is a know it all you'll do what it takes to ignore him. But what do you do when the woman you hire to help your company is your type? Mike is to funny and cute. A sold 3 stars. FYI there's a lot of heat in this book.

I enjoyed the books so much, but I felt like their were certain parts that just were meh and only added to be filler. The comedy was top of the line it had me laughing out loud especially in the beginning about Mike hunt! The family dynamic was a hot mess in the best way because the ending made it that much sweeter!

This was a reread— previously published under A Little Moore Action.

I thought it was very good, especially the ending. I loved Bell and Chase and their workplace romance, and all the drama of Chase’s family. However, I felt a lot of the jokes were a bit overused- specifically, Chase’s cat (iykyk). It was pretty quick paced and an easy read.

A sassy southern marketing exec plus a troubled billionaire… sign me up! I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book by Sara L. Hudson. I figured with so many books about billionaires out there that this one would just get added to the pile but, Hudson’s book was one that I really enjoyed. The focus was less on how much money he had and what he could buy her and more on how the main characters connected to each other as people.

One of my favorite parts of the book was the banter between Campbell and Chase. Their chemistry was clear there and the banter helped it shine.

All in all, the quips in this book were great. Chase definitely had some of the best lines. A personal favorite was, “I’m secure in my sexuality. If I want to glow, I’ll glow, damn it.”

I’d put the spice level at a 3/5. Nothing crazy but, some open door scenes. If you like your workplace romances to be packed with family drama, the mean girl at work, and plucky characters obsessed with Elvis, then grab this book!

Bonus points for the best character: Mike Hunt, the coolest hairless cat around.

All thoughts and opinions expressed in the above review are my own. Thank you to Sarah L. Hudson and Boldwood Books for the opportunity to read and review this book before it's release date.

Campbell and Chase meet when she is recruited to help save his family business. Will someone from her past ruin everything for them both? I like how it is told from both points of view. A great read - looking forward to the next book in this series.
