Perfect for teens into magic, fantasy, and dark magic- which is very different from regular magic. I can see teens pick this up after they've enjoyed The Cruel Prince.

Another great witchy love story from Griffin. I love that all of her stories are about young women discovering the power inside themselves.

"That's the problem with dreams: they are so easy to get lost in and so very difficult to give up."

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Fire for sending me an advanced copy of Bring Me Your Midnight in exchange for an honest review.

Bring Me Your Midnight centers around a teenage girl named Montana "Tana" Fairchild, a witch who lives on a protected island and practices what is known as low-magic. Her entire life has been planned out for her since the moment she was born: marry the governor's son, Landon, and secure the protection of her island and everyone on it. Every twenty-nine days, at the full moon, all of the witches that live on the island, known as the Witchery, perform the rush, a ritual when all witches release the excess magic in their system into the ocean. After Tana misses the midnight ritual- a fatal mistake- she has no one to ask for help, until she meets Wolfe, a mysterious witch who practices the forbidden magic.

This book was so beautifully written and incredibly atmospheric! The descriptions were so lush and gorgeous that I could imagine that I was actually on the island. I loved every moment of this book, especially Tana's relationship with Wolfe as well as her best friend, Ivy. This book is extremely character-driven and sometimes books suffer from too many characters and Ms.Griffin very carefully developed each and every relationship throughout the story.

Overall, I would give this book a resounding 5/5 stars and would recommend it to any reader who enjoys witches and magic!

Really loved this story. Rachel Griffin has really showcased some masterful storytelling. Character development wasn’t lacking and the way she brought the story to life was incredible. The high schoolers in my library would devour this novel.

I enjoyed this refreshing witchy tale that gave me something different than what I am used to. Tana was a character that I rooted for and and I loved the relationship dynamics with Wolfe, his family, and with Tana and her friends and family. The setting was a major character in this story and I loved the dive into how choices people (or witches) make can affect the peace around us.

The cover is flawless. I do have to admit that I almost always judge a book by its cover and this one is a beauty.

This was an overall 3 star read for me. Thank you to Net Galley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this story as I do most of RG's books. It is a tad on the YA side of fantasy, which I personally still enjoy as something that allows my brain to breathe inbetween high fantasy or long series. The world building was fairly simple and rely on a basic notion of magic, but I didn't find it too difficult to follow. The romance was a bit predictable, but I enjoyed the story to the point where it didn't bother me. Def recommend.

This book kept me reading until the last page. I loved the amount of world building as well as the unique magic system aspect to this book. Combining this with the pull of the ocean and a love triangle made this a great novel. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a solid 4 stars for me.

The writing was excellent and very atmospherical. The vibes were immaculate and I loved the weaving of magic and witchcraft into the story. The author creates such an incredible world that is also isolated from the mainstream world. She does an incredible job with weaving romance and emotion into her characters and you really do feel for them.

I feel that there is strong character growth in both self-esteem and perceived duty as well as in wisdom and intelligence.

This book is one I'd buy and read again on a rainy day.

First the cover drew me in -this book brings nostalgia and reminds me of when I first fell in love with reading. YA fantasy romance, witchy, angst, he saves her, she falls first, choosing happiness vs duty. This was a solid YA fantasy great for a pallet cleanser or jump back into the fantasy escape.

This book is a witchy romance following the perspective of Tana. I really enjoyed this book, I thought it was very atmospheric and the writing did a really good job emphasizing Tana's connection to the ocean and how it ties to her magic so compared to the other witches' magic, hers made them seem very superficial. The mystery and excitement of this island and witches is what really kept this story going for me and kept me engaged. A number of plot points were predictable, some were surprising, it gave a good mix to the book.
The romance was very instant, and I did not feel any connection to side characters or the love interests. Wolfe was ok, he was a real jerk at first and then warmed up to Tana. Landon was just there and was a nice guy doing his duty, so otherwise he was pretty bland. I felt we just got glimpses of them all except for Tana’s best friend and I was really back and forth on whether I liked her or not. Overall, I did have a pretty good time reading this book, but the romance brought it down to four stars. This book also has such a beautiful cover, I loved the blue tons and it really tied into the ocean theme.
I received an advanced ebook, via Netgalley. This review is my own honest opinion.

5/5 stars!

Rachel Griffin is permanently on my auto-buy list. Her stories somehow continue to get better and better with each release! Her writing style is so atmospheric and deeply emotional, without also being slow and bogged down. Everything flows so smoothly and grips the reader from the first page. I absolutely loved the way Tana and Wolfe's relationship developed. He was the perfect opposite and contradiction to Tana, while also complimenting her perfectly. And I'm not quite sure what it was, but I clocked Landon as a big *nope* from the first introduction. While he may not be bad, if Tana ended up with him like her parents wanted, it would've been the most lukewarm life ever. AND without her magic? Absolutely not. It was CRAZY that the witches were being hindered intentionally by their own leaders just to please the mainland humans, to keep them alive instead of being slaughtered out of fear and hatred. It mirrored historical events very accurately, and even reflected on some current events pretty accurately as well without outright stating as much. I truly hope Rachel continues to write stories like this, because we will continue to devour them.

This was a fun, young adult fantasy story. This typically isn’t my genre, but there were some intriguing moments for a rather enjoyable fantasy. At some times, I thought the story dragged, but all in all, I think “Bring Me Your Midnight” was a solid book. 3 stars. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley.

What a fun cozy magical witchy read! This was so atmospheric and magical that I had a hard time putting it down. It was perfect for the fall season when the air is getting crisper and you want to cozy up with a good book. Tana and Wolfe were so sweet and I really felt for them. It was hard not to root for them! I can’t believe it took me so long to pick this up but I’m so so glad I did.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an early copy.

I honestly thought this book would become a new favorite of mine. But this was not the case.
At the beginning I was really enthusiastic but at around 20% I became bored due to me guessing what would happen.

<i>"And the thing that makes my eyes burn, that makes my throat ache with the truth of it, is that I want to know Wolfe Hawthorne more than I've ever wanted to know anything in my entire life. And it's devastating."</i>
