Thank you to the publisher for access to this book. The author makes a compelling case for how government needs to be modernized (and digitized) and the reasons why this can be such a lofty and difficult to achieve goal. Hopefully this book appeals to a broad audience but I know policy wonks like myself will enjoy it.

A really discouraging but thorough exploration of why, practically, many governmental systems are so sticky and frustrating, and the steps necessary to rectify that on a large scale. A bit outside my wheelhouse practically, but useful for its intended audience no doubt.

Great book about the heroic jobs (some) government workers do. We need more of them. Tired of the same old stories about “lazy” government workers and why “industry” should be in charge. Government has its proper limited place, and Paula does a great job of showing how it can work better.
