This book started out slowly for me but got better the further I read. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the ending. It felt like there were a lot of things left unfinished. Other than that it was a great read.

The first book in the Jacksons’ Windy City Neighbors series introduces some new characters and revisits a couple of familiar faces from Neta’s Yada Yada series. The plot is fresh and relevant, and the spiritual aspects of the novel are seamlessly integrated, yet at the forefront of the story. There’s an excellent focus on themes of prayer and friendship among many others.
Grace Meredith’s career as a Christian artist is just beginning to take off. Yet issues with her voice place her on the sidelines, just as her fiancé decides he doesn’t want the stress of a relationship with someone on the road so often. Some forced time off causes her to connect with some of her neighbors, as well as her new agent. What are God’s plans for Grace’s future?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. If I were stranded somewhere, this would be the place for me. It read like a Lifetime movie, which I love.
