Stuffed: The Sandwich Cookie Book by Heather Mubarak is loaded with cookie recipes that can be stuffed from the sweet to the savory.

The first thing you will notice about this book is the beautiful pictures of all the cookies. That alone, makes you want to make every cookie in the book. The author has sections on Thirteen Tools for Sandwich Cookie Success, Pantry Must Have for Cookie Baking, and Tips and Tricks. The recipes have a blurb about the recipe, amount it makes, ingredients, making the cookies, and assembling the cookies when indicated. The author also includes some mixes and matches with different recipes as well as the occasional notes.

The recipe sectionalong with a sample of the type of cookies is as follows:

1. Oldies But Goodies - Chocolate Sandwich Cookies (a.k.a. handmade Oreos)

2. For the Love of Chocolate - Chocolate Pinwheel Cookies with Vanilla Buttercream

3. The Cool Cookies - Banana Split Ice Cream Sandwiches

4. Tart and Tangy - Key Lime Pie Sandwich Cookies

5. Cookies with a Kick - Spiced Chocolate Cookies with Dulce de Leche

7. The Fillings chapter includes Whipped Nutella Ganache to Key Lime Pie Cream Cheese Filling to Whipped Goat Cheese Filling and all the other stuffings needed for the cookies in the book.

I couldn’t wait to pick one of the recipes to make, and I chose Black Forest Ice Cream Sandwiches. The directions were simple and typical for most cookie recipes. The only issue I had was keeping my dough cold enough to make the cookie sandwiches. The author did indicate that you have to move fast to keep the dough from softening. The ice cream sandwich cookies was delicious and left me wanting to make them all in the book.

This book is for all cookie lovers. You will not be disappointed with the assortment of cookie recipes and the fillings they are stuffed with.

The pictures in this beautiful cookbook are making my mouth water! If you like sweets, this is the book for you! So many easy to follow recipes. I’m looking forward to making chocolate chip cookies with buttercream soon.

This is a great collection of cookie sandwich recipes. From homemade Oreos to oatmeal whoopie pies and even ice cream sandwiches, this has you covered. I love baking macarons so I can't wait to try the few macaron recipes included. The chocolate recipes also seem very appealing. Overall, the recipes all seem great and the accompanying photographs are incredible. I can't wait to get baking!

This was a wonderful baking book, and I know I will be making more stuffed cookie sandwiches. I made the funfetti cookies with cake buttercream for a coworker's birthday, and it was so much fun. There are more than just cookie recipes; there are filling recipes and basic recipes for creams and other baking goodness. I'm so excited to see more form Heather Mubarak and Chronicle Books.

This is a gorgeous cookbook. This book has easy to follow directions, simple, everyday ingredients and beautiful photos. I am a big fan of any cookbook that has pictures that accompany the recipes, I like to compare.

A fabulous, fun and unique cookbook centered around cookie sandwiches. There are so many different kinds of cookies to make and just as many fillings. There is a whole chapter dedicated to buttercreams, ganache, fruit jams and all the pictures are mouthwatering.

I am an avid baker and cookie fan so I knew this book was right up my alley! It did not disappoint!
Gorgeous photos and easy to follow creative recipes with a great introduction. I loved that it was focused on one type of cookie with many different twists. In particular I'm looking forward to making some of the savory cookies and the ice cream sandwiches! This was a fun read and definitely a cookbook I'll be adding to my collection or gifting to friends. Highly recommend!

If I could give this book ten stars, I would. Wow, where do I start?

I follow Heather Mubarak and love her recipes. When she announced she was publishing a book dedicated to cookie sandwiches, I wasn't sure if I'd buy the book even though I'm an experienced baker who bakes 2-3 times a week. Whoopie Pies or cookie sandwiches are not my go-tos, but my oldest daughter loves anything cookie, so I went straight to baking starting with her Funfetti Cookies with Cookie Batter Buttercream recipe. Oh boy... were they delicious and SO pretty to look at! I fell in love with cookie sandwiches right then and there and couldn't stop since then.

- She has a lot of recipes in her book and they are not repetitive. Not sure how long she worked on the book, but wow. There are a lot of recipes for cookies and fillings. You will never get bored.
- Not only there are sweet cookie recipes, but also savory cookie recipes as well. And, for folks who love ice cream sandwiches, you won't be disappointed since there are plenty to try out with many variations.
- each and every recipe has a beautiful photo for bakers to picture what the outcome should look like. Someone visual like me, it is a HUGE plus. I enjoyed looking at photos thoroughly! Truly drool-worthy!!!
- her recipes are pretty simple, easy, and straightforward.
- measurements are in metrics -- another HUGE plus. I wouldn't have it any other way.
- most of cookie recipes have "Mix and Match" filling or buttercream variation, so you can easily make your 'own' cookie sandwiches to your liking.

Honestly I can't even find a thing to knitpick about this book. This will be one of the books I will pre-order, share it on my social platform, and gift to my friends and family. That's how much I adore this book and I can't wait to keep baking out of this cookbook. I cannot recommend this book enough!!!

This book is for all the cookie lovers out there. And it is stunning! It is imperative to me that every recipe in a cookbook has its own picture. This cookbook not only follows that rule but the photographs are beautiful. The recipes look simple enough that I could make them but not so simple that the cookie's will be basic. Now my disclaimer is that I haven't had a chance to try any of the recipes yet. I'm waiting for the book to be released to get a physical copy. I'm old school like that. But I have a mental list of the cookies I want to try first (hello chocolate truffle cookies with whipped nutella ganache). And the recipes don't just include a variety of cookie sandwich combo's. There is also macaroons, ice cream sandwiches and cocktail cookies which are more of a savory type cookie.

This book makes your mouth water for sure! I love that there are gorgeous photos of every recipe and the variety in the recipes is there, something for everyone!

As a big fan of sandwich cookies, I was super excited to see this book on NetGalley.

Pictures are the most important part of a cookbook to me and I'm disappointed when every recipe isn't photographed. Stuffed has beautiful photos for each recipe and nothing seems too difficult to make even though all of the cookies are gorgeous. I tried the nutter butter recipe and loved it. Instructions were clear and there weren't any special ingredients I'd have to buy for just one dessert.

I love the inclusion of savory cookie sandwiches as well. Can't wait to try out more recipes!

I was never really into “sandwich cookies”. I’ve always been a chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, peanut butter cookie lover, but moon pies and sandwich cookies were always left in the platter when I was around. Not anymore! The cocktail cookies were the ones that really caught my eye. Yum. And honestly, I would eat the fillings without the cookies. They sound so good. This cookbook is unique and an absolutely asset to anyone’s kitchen.

Stuffed is a wonderful cookbook about stuffed and/or sandwich cookies of all types. The pictures in the book looked simply mouthwatering. I will say for me who does not profess to be much of a baker I am a bit intimated by the recipes, but I think someone with a bit of skill would love this book. I loved the entertaining aspect of the book. This would make a lovely gift for someone and I would love for someone to make me those Boozy Irish Cream macarons. 4/5 for me.

Every home baker needs this book. I love cookies and I suck at making them,but this cookbook really helped. I have tried a couple of the recipes and the buttercream is out of this world good!!

This is beautifully put together, with well-written recipes. Interesting pairings, plus all the classics you would crave. Nice!

This cookbook has 65 mix-and-match cookie sandwiches for every occasion or no occasion at all (who needs one for a great cookie!?!). From savory to sweet there are so many amazing recipes from the Homemade Milanos, Chocolate Truffle Cookies with whipped Nutella Ganache and Root Beer Popcorn ice cream sandwiches. I can’t wait to try each and every one!

Stuffed is beautifully photographed with amazingly detailed instructions to help even the novice baker. Once this book comes out I will definitely be buying one for myself and some as gifts.

Wow does this cookbook have it all: classic cookies, copycat cookies, savory cookies, chocolate, lemon, etc. and the best part? They are all filled with delicious buttercream frosting, chocolate ganache, and MORE. Every recipe has a beautiful photo accompanying the clear instructions with delicious recipes. The beginning includes information fir new bakers such as essential baking equipment, supplies, and ingredients and some baking tips.

I personally cannot wait to make the oatmeal cream pies with brown sugar buttercream and copycat nutter butters. If you can’t find something that will cause you to make a batch of cookies then I’m not sure what you could possibly want! Warning: you’ll want to lick the screen several times with the beautiful photos!

I would definitely by a copy of this book for myself it any baker in my life.

Baking is a passion of mine, and I love to try recipes when there are pictures of the bakes. I love that there are classic sandwich cookie recipes like Milanos, macarons, and even some unique ones like Brown Butter Snickerdoodle with Chai Spice Buttercream. The organization of chapters is also exceptional with oldies chocolate, fillings etc. The aesthetic and layout definitely makes me want to purchase this book.
