Description

Three kisses. Two break ups. One happy ending...

Amy Daniels has a pretty nice life. Her career is on the up, she loves her friends, and she's about to buy her very own flat. On a good day, Amy could be described as a catch—so why is she perpetually single?

The trouble is, Amy can see something no one else can: the end. As soon as she kisses someone, she knows, in intimate, vivid detail, how their relationship will finish. A screaming argument in the middle of the supermarket over milk. An explicit email sent to the wrong address. A hasty escape through a bathroom window on the second date. At the altar—runaway-bride style. There seems to be no end to the unhappy endings.

After years of trying, and failing, to change a pre-written future, Amy has given up. But then she drunkenly kisses three men at her best friend's wedding and sees three possible endings: two painful, one perfect. The problem is, Amy can't really remember who she kissed, and worse, what ending belongs to which person—the only thing she knows for certain is that she's determined to find out...

Would you want to know how a relationship ends with the first kiss? That's Amy's ability until she has too much to drink and can't remember who she kisses, when she wakes with visions of her premonitions. This book was a fun read and I enjoyed the journey of Amy finding out who her true love kiss was. While I figured out who it was long before she did...it was very satisfying once she had her aha moment. This was a great story and even had a great moment that shows that sometimes wonderful things come from not so wonderful endings.

I loved "Skip to the End" by Molly James! Such a cute read with romance, a little bit of mystery to it (who is The One), and good friendships. I read this one in 2 days and was happy it pulled me out of a reading slump!

Every time Amy has a first kiss, she gets a premonition about how the relationship will end. It was such an interesting plot line to me. Do you stay with someone knowing that eventually it will end, or do you continue kissing as many people as you can to try to find 'The One". I loved all of the characters in the story and the way the plot was developed.

A great read! Thank you Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the arc!

At first, I wasn’t sure this was going to be my cup of tea based on the premise, but I’m so glad I kept reading! I loved it! It was absolutely delightful! I was completely drawn into the characters and the storylines. I hung onto every vivid description as they came to life in my imagination. It was thoughtfully creative and very well written. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Thank you to the author, NetGalley & Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for sending this book for review consideration.

Skip to the End is a sweet romance with elements of magic sprinkled in.

When Amy kisses someone for the first time, she gets a flash of premonition showing her how that relationship will end. She has seen flashes of cheaters, of abuse, of every kind of ending except her own happily ever after. When at her best friend's wedding, she has too much to drink and kisses 3 men, one of whom is destined to be her forever. Only problem is, she can't remember who she kissed or which one was the happy ending.

The concept of this one was pure fun, and I loved the idea of Amy skipping to the end and seeing a tiny piece of the future. Watching her get to know several of the contenders from the wedding was fun, though I was able to call the ending from almost the beginning. The end is sweet, and I would have loved to had a bit more of that part!

The secondary characters are important in the story as well. Amy's friend group is made up of eclectic characters and big personalities who are always there for one another. Her mother has early onset Alzheimers, and a lucid moment they shared together made me tear up.

I enjoyed the writing style in this book and would definitely read more from this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing), for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

A huge thanks for Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and Netgalley for this digital ARC in exchange for my honest review!

I am squealing at how much I loved this! 🥰 I flew through this book, but found myself slowing my reading down so I could really savor every word.

First let's start with the strange but wonderful premise: knowing how a relationship will end with the first kiss. Honestly, I feel like this would be such a stressful thing to deal with! Would you stay with someone knowing how it will end, or would you continue searching for *The One*? Amy has had to kiss a lot of duds before she finally kisses her "One". Unfortunately, she was extremely drunk at her friend's wedding and kissed three guys and can't remember which premonition is which!

The secondary characters were amazing, and so full of personality and even flaws. I really appreciate when the characters are more dimensional and nuanced to make it more realistic (well, as realistic as a story with magic can be! 😉)

I did predict the ending, but I'm extremely happy about it! 😍 I wish we could have gotten more details on that aspect. Read this if you enjoy happily ever afters with a touch of magic! ✨ This book comes out August 15, so go ahead and pre-order your copy now!

Skip to the End is a charming, sweet and lighthearted romance with a little magic.

Amy is psychic in a way that shows her how a relationship will end with the first kiss. Understandably, kissing anyone makes her apprehensive but she drunkenly decides to kiss three men at her friend’s wedding. Upon waking she remembers two breakups and one true love but many of the details are murky. With the help of her friends she will stop at nothing to find The One.

I enjoyed this novel from the start, I thought Amy was very likable with a great group of supportive friends. I adored the setting and all the British lingo. Even though the plot was quite predictable, I found myself flipping page after page. A feel good story of living in the moment with the people you love the most!

Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the ARC.

This was sweet and mase me think. J enjoyed the angsty tone and the way time was handled. I definitely think romance readers and women's fiction a like will enjoy SKIP TO THE END, and those looking for a summer beach read with some depth will find it right here.

Amy has an interesting gift: with every first kiss, she receives a premonition of how the relationship will end. After years of non starts and a wedding celebration that gets a little carried away, she wakes up knowing that she’s finally met The One, but there’s a little problem: she doesn’t remember who it was. The rest of the book is her up and down journey to figure it out.
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Plot lines based on drunken amnesia + magical realism don’t typically make for my preferred reading experience. But I loved the added dimension of strong family ties, a close circle of friends, and a hint of a coming-of-age vibe as Amy learns to pay attention to her own intuition. This would make a great summer read, as it is able to be read in a day or two and has such a satisfying ending. Thank you Netgalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the advanced review copy. All opinions are my own.
