I can’t believe this is my first book by this author, I really want to go back and pick up her backlist titles because I adored this book so much.

This book starts with a one-night stand between ghostwriter Chandler Cohen and C-list actor Finn Walsh… but let’s just say, it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Chandler hopes she never has to see Finn again after that horrible one-night stand, however, she then finds out her next project is writing a memoir for the one and only Finn Walsh. Not only that, but she ends up agreeing to teach him some lessons 😉

Oh my goodness, this book was incredible and spicy. It reminded me of The Kiss Quotient at times, and I adored this book so much. There’s also OCD and anxiety rep, which I think the author wrote so well.

I was grinning left and right with each lesson that was being taught. It’s definitely a steamy romance, but I was not expecting to love it as much as I did. It’s one of the best romances I’ve read in quite a while.

Also, I loved the traveling aspect with them going to different conventions around the country. It was so fun reading about the industry with films and writing books, I just loved how these characters acted towards one another.

I will definitely be thinking about this book for a while. I already plan on rereading it sometime when I just want a fun and swoony romance with such lovable characters. Their journey through the book is heartfelt and root-able. I was filled with emotions after finishing this one.

I would highly recommend picking up this forced proximity, one-night stand, and open-door romance. I was pleasantly surprised by the feelings I had after finishing the book. Let’s just say it was a “pleasuring” experience.

Thank you so much Berkley Romance for the review copies and PRH Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest review!

Rachel Lynn Solomon delivers another fun, flirty read that delivers excellent characters, a fun situation, and an ultimately satisfying romance. Finn's OCD was deftly handled and the ghostwriting elements were woven in very fluidly.

I listened to BP earlier this week, and you all, I’m obsessed! This is my new favorite RLS (adult) book 👀 granted I love all her books, but still!

Chandler is a ghost writer who happens to have a one night stand with her new client Finn, who she didn’t know was her client until after spending the night with him. Soon the two are off touring the country attending conferences together and Chandler might be helping Finn in ways that aren’t outlined in their contract 🙃

The chemistry between Chandler and Finn is 🔥 like this might be one of the spiciest books I’ve ever read! But it’s also a book about mental health (anxiety and OCD), finding your way, and has great Jewish rep! I loved that both Chandler and Finn were Jewish.

Rachel does a fantastic job at thoughtfully creating lovable, realistic, funny, and quirky characters. This whole book was so fun, and I would love a second book featuring this cast.

I also want to add that the narrator did a phenomenal job giving all the characters voice and personality!

Chandler is a ghost writer who can not believe that the 'author' of her latest book doesn't recognize her at a signing after the time they spent together so when she hits it off with an attractive stranger she takes a chance. Their connection has sparks flying but the fire is out once they hit the sheets. It is such a disaster that Chandler sneaks out and full names and number are not exchanged. The next day she has a meeting about her next ghost writing job and is shocked to discover who it is. After initial awkwardness Chandler begins to learn more about Finn and they strike a deal to help his bedroom performance. But as they work on the projects the lines blur between business and pleasure.

This was way too cringe - the premise sounded okay but it was very awkward. It didn’t work for me at all.

I adored this story. The ‘meet cute’ was cute turned cringe but the realness of the situation was kind of a breath of fresh air and made for a great story. I just really enjoy Rachel Lynn Solomon’s writing and will pick up any book she puts out.

Business or Pleasure is the newest (and third) adult romance from Rachel Lynn Solomon. I enjoyed her previous two books, The Ex Talk and Weather Girl, so I was looking forward to this one. Sadly, this just didn’t work as well for me.

Chandler is a ghostwriter for celebrities who are “writing” books. She ends up hooking up with Finn, a somewhat/semi-popular actor who portrayed a lovable character on a cult classic werewolf show. Their hookup goes horribly for her and she leaves extremely disappointed. Later on she finds out she’s supposed to be ghost-writing with Finn on his memoir. They end up traveling together since he now makes a living by traveling to fan conventions around the country. She admits their night together was horrible and he asks for her to “teach him”/give lessons in any of their downtime.

This premise sounded good but it just never really sold me. I wasn’t invested in Chandler or Finn and I didn’t find them to have any chemistry. The traveling around the country through the different chapters was just so long and tedious as well. I mostly just wanted the story to be over.

Thank you to the publisher (Berkley) for an ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own.

This was my first Rachael Lynn Solomon books and when we got it I was so excited! I always love a good romance and this one a little bit of everything. I love the steam, I laughed a lot and there was also a lot of sweet moments that made me enjoy this story.

There was so much spice and tension that you just get sucked in. Then throw in a forced proximity and it is my favorite kind of romance!

Thank you so much Berkley for this ARC!

I couldn't stop laughing while reading this.
Business or Pleasure is an absolutely fun and addictive read. I loved our two main characters, and their banter?!?! Amazing. I also really loved how this book deals with mental health (there is OCD and generalized anxiety disorder rep). It both gave the topics the seriousness and focus they require, while also still maintaining its lighthearted tone. It was the perfect balance.

Rachel never lets me down!

This book was so funny and spicy 🥵 which is the love language to any romance reader! I could not put the book down. It was incredibly fast passed in a sense of how easily consumable it was. Absolutely addictive. This will most definitely be a reread. I appreciated how organic the couple was with each other, sweet, spicy and funny. My three favorite things.

I love rom coms. I love just about everything about them, except any sort of miscommunication. Miscommunication is a tool used a lot and I hate it. Good thing readers! There is zero miscommunication in this book. The very crux of the relationship in this book is open and honest Communication and I loved it. I’m fact, I loved everything about this one!
.
Chandler spends her days as ghostwriter but she isn’t thrilled with the way her life goals are headed. After
an awkward one night stand she goes to meet with her next project. No surprise here folks, this is a rom com after all. Her next project is of course the awkward one night stand , but here’s another thing I love about this book. No hi jinks ensue. This book is about two adults who are open and honest with each other, filled with lots of laughs and so much heart. I really loved this own and will definitely be one of my top romance books of the year!

Business or Pleasure was full of sexual tension, forced proximity and adventure, but also it was very sweet and emotional. Chandler and Finn's connection was so strong and obvious, and their journey was an easy one to fall in love with. Although the plot was very engaging and interesting, the character driven moments were my favorite as they felt honest and real even when the characters were feeling awkward. The mental health and Jewish rep was great, and as someone who loves a celebrity romance and also loves teen dramas, this has the perfect mix of everything. Highly recommend. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley.

Whew! This one was spicy, much spicier than the cartoon-like cover would have you believe. I loved the characters and the way they got to know each other little by little as they spent time together throughout the story. Finn and Chandler are on the outside wildly different until they figure out that they are actually a little bit more alike than they thought. There is a lot of romance and sex in this book, but it's also includes a very heartwarming story line and fun plot that will make you both laugh and cry at times. I love her books!

Here are my thoughts while reading BoP:

hehehe

omg

*giggling and kicking feet*

omg

hehehehe

I LOVE RLS AND I LOVED THIS BOOK. RUN OUT AND BUY IT.

BUT be prepared this one is waaaay smuttier than Rachel’s previous books. (The Roommate by Rosie Danan vibes) This book follows Chandler and Finn (<3) as they meet at a bar and have a truly awful one night stand.

Genuinely the cringiest sex scene I have ever read and I have read shrek fanfic.

THEN they find out they’re going to be working together. Chandler is meant to work closely with Finn ghost writing his memoir! TEA. And when she shares how bad the sex was, they decide to add ~~sex lessons~~ on top of their professional relationship.

What a premise! What a book! I love this woman!

I’ve been a long time fan of Rachel’s and my favorite part of her work is how well she does character development and handles mental health rep, and I’m here to report that she mannages to continue that in this book while also adding that steamy element. I loved it.

I absolutely loved this! Her books are always so thought provoking and also SO SWOONY! I loved the former TV star as the lead. The chemistry was there from the get go! The mishaps in the beginning were done so well and made me laugh. Just loved it all!

I have a new book boyfriend, and his name is Finn Walsh. 🥰

Finn is an actor, best known for his role years ago on a supernatural TV show, who now spends his days traveling the fan convention circuit. Chandler Cohen is a ghostwriter of celebrity memoirs who dreams of one day publishing her own novel. In a chance encounter, Finn and Chandler meet (Chandler has no clue who Finn is, other than a nice, handsome stranger) and their chemistry is off the charts … but the sex is the worst she’s ever had. When Chandler is hired to write Finn’s memoir, she also ends up offering him some lessons to get better in bed …

Y’all know I’ve been reading a lot of romance over the past few years because I’ve been craving a lot of escape from the real world. I love the predictable cadence of the genre, the tropes, the (generally speaking) happily ever afters. When I saw @ktdakotareads raving about how enjoyable and sex positive this one is, I had to dive in right away. And I loved it!

BUSINESS OR PLEASURE ticks a lot of boxes for me: There is great tension and build-up. I love the teaching trope. The characters are lovable—Finn is the sweetest and Chandler is wonderfully confident in her sexuality. And the spice. It. Is. Excellent. If you’re looking for a fun, spicy, sweet summer read, this is the one! 🔥💖
