Thanks Bloomsbury and Netgalley for this eARC, these opinions are my own. I love how emotionally vulnerable and raw Steven Salvatore books leave me feeling! They characters always feel so deeply that as a reader you can’t help but get in your feelings! Twins Olly and Alex have had their world shattered by their dad going to prison. And while Olly is angry and frustrated at him, Alex can only see that she loves him and it’s not his fault. The problem is she doesn’t know what Olly does, she doesn’t know about their secret brother Tyler. And when the suddenly have their worlds shatter even more Alex is struggling to figure out how to keep going finding it easier to numb everything instead. Olly just wants to help his sister but with her distant his relationship with Tyler has grown. The lives of these three is about to change drastically when Tyler shows up to work at the same Lodge as Alex and Olly for the summer. What happens if Alex finds out who Tyler really is? Can Olly and Alex find their way back to one another? I loved both twins but I very much enjoyed reading from Alex’s point of view! I like that we get to see Alex struggle in the darkness, see that she loves her family but can’t seem to reach them, that numbing things is what gets her through. And then seeing her fight her way back! Olly’s and Kahl’s relationship is absolutely adorable and heartwarming! And I love all of the moments they both share with Tyler! No Perfect Places tells the story of heartache, grief, loss, love, family, and how people can both hurt and heal each other! I loved this story and highly recommend it to everyone! Can’t wait to read it again!
