Such a great summer read. The characters are not problematic and you actually want to root for them. Friends to lovers is a classic and this book does it beautifully. I’ve read all the books in the Avalon series and this was my favorite.

I love Elle’s spicy romances, and the Avalon Bay series, Tate and Cassie were unputdownable. They made the book go by so quickly and I missed them when it was done!

This was such a feel good read! I absolutely loved the embarrassing funny moments, which were so realistic it was refreshing to see. The romance was so sweet, and a bit spicy, but written so well. I absolutely have to read the rest of the books in the series now!

Thank you NetGalley and publishers for this eBook arc for an honest review. This was a lighthearted easy read. The Summer Girl had a bunch of drama, romance, Summer vibes and dual point of views. The only thing that I felt was off was the quick resolution/ending.

Oh a family saga! Secrets to uncover. Family drama for sure. And she wants a summer fling. Tate captures her eye but he is not willing to participate or is he? I like the setting and the hotel sounds wonderful. So much going on in the book that pulled me in and kept me reading way too late in the night. I just love a good page turner.

I love returning to the world Avalon Bay! Tate with his golden retriever energy and Cassie finding exactly what she’s always been looking for, with a sprinkle of drama. I couldn’t put the book down, much like the other 2 in the series. The only thing that threw me off a little about this book was how some of the characters would just disappear no mention for 100 pages and then all of the sudden pop back up for one short scene. Other than that the vibes were all there. Thanks NetGalley for the arc!

I love any and all things Elle Kennedy and this one did not disappoint. Prefect mix of content. Funny and lighthearted.

I really enjoyed this title, even though I haven't read the rest of the series. I enjoy Kennedy's writing, and I thought the plot was unique. I would like to go back and continue this series.

Really enjoyed this one! I should have read it so much sooner! But I don’t regret it. This maybe a new obsession! I love the characters, plot, etc.

LOVE! This was such a cute series of books. Great character development and storyline. Very good book.

This was super cute and it was just what I needed in the summer. I thought it was a good story with solid bones and I’d definitely be interested in reading more.

Another trip to Avalon bay means another romance is afoot. Cassie has only spent her summers in a Avalon bay throughtout the years. But this year is different. She is determined to have a summer fling. It is full of wit and humour. And various cameos from the other couples in Avalon bay.
Thank you St Martins Press and netgalley for an arc.

Elle Kennedy does not miss. I loved Tate and Cassie’s story. They had great banter and chemistry which made the book real so seamlessly. This book is the perfect book is the perfect beach read. 4.5/5 stars

Honestly, I loved this book. It just screams beachy romance for the summer, and it didn't disappoint. Cassie was such a lovable main character, and I rooted for her the ENTIRE book! Elle Kennedy just can do no wrong with her character development and her ability to make these characters really come to life on the page. Tate is fun and handsome and just the man you want to love, even though he puts her in the friend zone. Just....read it. Cute romcom for the win!

REVIEW✨
The Summer Girl
By Elle Kennedy
So for both of the Off Campus and Briar U series, I loved both of them. So I was excited to read The Summer Girl, but it disappointed me… it wasn’t my cup of tea. It just didn’t hit the same, the characters didn’t capture me, the plot seemed to be a little all over and the pacing was off… I finished it but it’s a book that I wouldn’t be recommending. It’s kinda just a basic summer college romance.
Romance: ❤️❤️❤️
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️
Plot points: 💥💥💥
Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was a bigger fan of the first two books, but liked this one well enough. I liked some of the references back to the main characters from the other books and I enjoyed some of the banter between Cassie and Tate. The big surprise at the end of the story and the way it shook the connection between Cassie and Tate sort of ruined this one for me - like why did it have to happen this way?! Either way, this was a nice end of summer read for me and I would read another book if Elle Kennedy decided to extend this series.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martins Press for letting me read "The Summer Girl" in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you for allowing me to read this book. I have really enjoyed this series and and this book did not disappoint. Loved the strength and innocence of Cassandra. Even though she is inexperienced she is not shy in knowing what she wants. Tate is a good soul and I love that his friendship with Cassandra is so important to him. Did not see the twist in their story coming. I will definitely recommend this book/series to others.

Elle Kennedy is one of my go to romance authors. Her books are always entertaining, with main characters that are so relatable. I always find that the subplots with the minor characters are just as interesting as the main plot between the two main characters. I really enjoyed the two main characters, and thought they were both so sweet and relatable. I had not read the first two books in this series, and found that I was still able to enjoy this book. Definitely a fun summer read!

I learned my lesson from the book before this in the series. I wanted so badly to give this author another chance, but by the third chapter, I was over it. The supposed male love interest’s first thoughts about the female main character are “Her rack is objectively spectacular. Sue me for noticing. I’m a man. I always notice a great rack.” I’m not into these characters at all, so I am going to put this one down.

A great summer read with a wonderful cast of characters. I really loved this series, and found this book to be very enjoyable. The MCs seemed more mature and less toxic than other couples and I really enjoyed that.
