Oh, Travis! I despised this man in Archer's Voice and I have to say, I was not onboard with a "redemption" book for Travis as I just felt it couldn't be done. I will say, I softened, if only a little bit towards him. I understand he had a difficult upbringing; abandoned by his dad and being manipulated by his mother; sorry, she will never be forgiven. I really enjoyed the moments of interaction between Travis and Archer as they attempted to bridge their broken and dysfunctional relationship.
I had a great time revisiting this series, Archer's Voice was my first ever Mia Sheridan book and I haven't been able to stop since. I appreciate her giving more depth to Travis so we could all understand him better.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely adored Archer’s Voice and I have recommended it to so many people. I didn’t care or really like Travis in that book, so I was really hoping to like him in this book more. I have mixed feelings about this book. Although I did like Travis a lot more, I found myself not as interested in the storyline, which was a little disappointing.

I also, found myself skim reading because some parts weren’t as interesting.

I absolutely loved seeing Archer, Bree, and their family as side characters in this book. They will always be my favorites! They definitely saved this book for me.

Thank you Netgalley, Bloom Publishing and Mia Sheridan for the ARC.
Archer’s Voice is one of my absolute favourite books ever so I was really excited for this book. And right from the prologue this book hit me in feels.
I loved that Bree and Archer were so present in this book. It’s really beautiful how much the brothers value each other. And Travis is such a sweet uncle.
The Yellow Trellis gang were so awesome. Even Clawdia. I think they were a good micro-representation of the town itself.
I think the only thing I didn’t love was Tori Hale. She still got off way to easy for such a horrible person.
I hope there are more books set in Pelion because I love this little town. Mia has done such a beautiful job shaping the lives of the Hale boys in these books. All the stars!!

Readers & lovers of Archers Voice… you’ll want to pick this one up. While I was never fully sold on Travis’ character, this was an enjoyable read and offers a great amount of closure for the town of Pelions overall story. If you haven’t read Archers Voice, you should definitely read that one first. This book will spoil that story. A quick, easy read!

Thank you to the publisher for the ARC via netgalley.

I just love a good redemption story. I always love the villain or the misunderstood character. In “Archer’s Voice” Travis did some things that made me physically cringe while reading. This book didn’t absolve him of his sins, they still happened and had a profound affect, but he sought growth and forgiveness and grace was extended to him. I’m just a sucker for that kind of thing.

I enjoyed Travis’ story just as much as Archer’s. I loved the way Haven complimented his character growth. She was a crazy plant lady and offered a bit of comic relief but still had great depth and history.

If you were a fan of Archer’s Voice I would give this one a shot!

Rating: 3/5 Stars

This was an enjoyable read that I was interested to see where it would be going. I did loose interest at some parts, but other than that it was enjoyable!

Let me start my review by saying I was not as...impressed as others By Archer's Voice. While Travis wasn't my favorite character in the book, I looked forward to his redemption arc,
That being said, I found myself really loving Travis' story!

Travis, the chief of police, in a small town of Pelion, Maine is considering getting more serious with his girlfriend when he catches her in the act of cheating. Haven and her brother have been traveling across the country and moving from place to place and decide to settle on Pelion area for the Summer. The two cross paths and after a plumbing leak, Travis finds himself staying in a local B&B where Haven is staying where they strike up a friendship...with benefits...

I loved the character development of Travis, and how we can see the growth from the first book. I loved Haven for him.

I did love the ending and the epilogue and if you were really into Archer's Voice you will love this. This book could be read as a standalone but I do recommend that you read the first one to get the background info and to be more invested in the characters.

NetGalley Review — my rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
.
Let me preface this by saying “Archer’s Voice” was my favorite read of 2022. Therefore, I had the highest of hopes for “Travis”.
.
It was good, but fell a little flat comparatively. The story just didn’t seem as flushed out as Archer’s. But I was very glad to see a different side of Travis.
.
Watching Travis finally get his happily ever after was an excellent way to handle this companion novel.
.
Big thanks to @read_bloom for this ARC!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I liked that Haven and Travis aren't the classic heroes we usually read in romance novels. They have an unusual relationship that begins with intentions of revenge against the people who have wronged them or underestimated them. I especially loved getting to read Travis's perspective on life. I absolutely loved Archer's Voice, and I appreciated Travis's character development in that books ending. So, seeing Travis now, learning to be a good brother and uncle, while also being hurt and bitter about the way his life has evolved, was interesting, heartbreaking, and lovely (yes, all at once, its an emotional rollercoaster!) I liked Travis and Haven's story, seeing how these two are truly perfect for one another, learning how to be healthier, better versions of themselves and accepting they deserve love and happiness. Overall, the Travis redemption arc that is this book was what made me love it the most. Especially at the end, during the town hall meeting, hearing Bree acknowledge how everyone can make a list of bad things they’ve done or regret (some are bigger than others), but we also all have lists of the good things we’ve done, and why we’re worthy of love and forgiveness. It was a great lesson of this story of Travis— he is worthy of love, family, and forgiveness.
Thank you for the ARC!!!

Mia Sheridan does such a great job at the small town, close nit, community setting! I loved Archers Voice and was excited to read more about Travis. I love a good redemption story! This book was good, but we didn't get to see much of the said redemption. Archer, Bree, and Travis were just kind of good with each other from the start. I did love the B & B setting and the glimpses of Archer & Bree we got though. The romance itself kind of fell flat in my opinion. I just didn't connect with the two.

I didn't know what to expect with this one! if you have read Archers Voice then you know Travis is NOT liked lol. But this book shows a side of Travis that makes you understand why he is the way he is. Definitely a beautifully written redemption story for Travis!!

4 stars!
The book brought out the side of Travis we have not seen in Archer's Voice. Archer's Voice will always be my #1 but Travis's story wasn't too bad. For me its kinda hard for me to like Travis after what he did to Archer but it was nice to see the softer side of Travis that wasn't presented in Archer's voice. This book also presented some scenes of Archer and Bree's family and that they are happy and doing well.

This story was a fast paced small town romance and sort of like a redemption arc for Travis. I love Clawdia the cat hahahaha (my fav character of alll).

I was able to read this through Netgalley.

I really enjoyed this book. It started a little slow but picked up soon enough and I couldn’t read it fast enough to find out what happens. We all first met Travis in Archers Voice as Archers older brother who is a not nice, vindictive, selfish person.

We see a very different side of him in this book. He is loving, unselfish and trying to make changes. In come Haven and her brother, Easton with baggage of their own.

Thank you to Net Galley and Mia Sheridan for the eARC! I was so excited because I LOVED Archer's Voice.

Travis, the chief of police, in a small town of Pelion, Maine considers getting more serious with his girlfriend when he catches her in the act of cheating. Haven and her brother have been traveling across the country and moving from place to place and decide to settle on Pelion area for the Summer when she crosses paths with Travis. After a plumbing leak, Travis finds himself staying in a local B&B where Haven is staying where they strike up a friendship; both dealing with the ever present shadows of their past.

I Really liked this one. It was not as great as Archer's Voice, but it was very different. It was nice to see the softer side of Travis after how he was portrayed in Archer's Voice. It has close proximity, both haunted by family trauma, friendship turned into friends with benefits, starting of summer romance. Plus it was great to see Bree and Archer again, though Bree was a bit standoffish in this one.

Would definitely recommend!

I love love loved Archer's Voice and couldn't wait to read this one.

Not going to lie, Travis had a long road ahead to get me to forgive him. But what a great redemption story!

Travis & Haven definitely don't have the "traditional" love story. But she's far from a traditional girl. I loved her and her brother and all they had overcome. The connection between her and Travis was clear from the start - to me! Took them a while to get there.

Also enjoyed that Archer and his family were in the book as well. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks/Bloom Books for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was an enjoyable book that picks up a year or two after Archer's Voice. This book could be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first one to get the full experience. This book follows Travis who is the chief of this small town with a life in ruin but a plant lady from Cali might bring him back up. I have to say that after reading Archer's Voice a year ago, I hate Travis but I forgot all about that when I started this one. The author totally changed my perspective of him which I'm all here for. About the writing, I was hooked on the author's writing style from the beginning of the page. But I have to say that towards the end of the story, it kind of got a bit bland. The pacing was off towards the story but at the same time, I was enjoying it. I wish there were more deep moments or conflicts like Archer's Voice.

This book is written from Travis and Haven's pov. I really enjoyed both characters especially Travis as he redeems himself after the second book. So Travis is the Chief police of Pelion Lake while Haven just came with her brother from Cali and is looking for an escape. Travis and Haven both have great development throughout the book. I felt connected to their story which I think many readers will be too. There are many side characters and don't worry, Archer and Bree make many appearances in the book. The romance in this book is small-town romance, friends to lovers, and slow burn.

The ending was well done and readers get an epilogue. I don't know if there will be another book in the series but I'm all here for it if there is. I really enjoy Sheridan's writing as her stories are so well written. I love reading her characters as they are characters I will never forget. I did have some minor issues with the book but overall it was very well written. I recommend reading this book to my small-town fans but read book 1 before!

this was a good redemption for travis after seeing him in archer’s voice, but i couldn’t connect with the characters as well as i was hoping to. still a very cute story overall though and the archer and bree crumbs were everything!!

Anyone who read Archer’s Voice can remember how strongly they disliked Travis. Now Mia Sheridan writes his redemption story and manages to turn him into the kind of damaged hero that I can’t help rooting for. Who would’ve thought that would even be a possibility? Seeing things from his perspective as a broken hearted little boy really tugged at my heart and I wanted him to get his own HEA. He grows over the course of this book as he spends time with Archer’s family and gets to know Haven. As much I came to care for Travis, my heart was truly stolen by Clawdia, the three legged cat., or maybe the two of them together. That was the real story in this book!
