Peril (Blood Ties, The Logans #3.5)
Three connected books - 1. REDEMPTION by Alexandra Ivy 2. RESCUE: HERO STYLE by Rebecca Zanetti 3. ONE LAST KISS by Kat Martin. The evil guys are in all three books that are filled with angst, danger, murder, as well as wonderful characters, some laughs, tears, strong H and h, plenty of steam and three HEA's.
Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Unpredictable Witty Action-packed Wonderful Characters Romantic Entertaining Great world building Steamy Easy-to-read Happily Ever After Tear-jerker Informative Haunting Scary Page-turner.

Peril comprises three novellas with a common element, a bunch of criminals leaving their chaotic footprint behind as they terrorise small towns. Alexandra Ivy sets the stage with Redemption, with two law enforcement agents finding themselves back to each other, united by bringing justice to a fallen cop. The chemistry, flirtation and the high-stakes made this read extremely enjoyable, and I was left wanting more. Rescue: Hero Style by Rebecca Zanetti is centred around second chances. Ella and Caden are estranged but are each other's, ultimate person. A cocktail of stubbornness and perseverance ensues amidst secrets and hidden motives. The scenes dragged on at times, but the author delivered a well-deserved and satisfying ending. We conclude with One Last Kiss by Kat Martin. I took time to get into this story, but the characters were well-developed. The gradual connection between Libby and Sam was earnest and sweet. The plot slowly evolved and delivered a tense, high-stakes ending. If you're looking for a cozy beach read, don't hesitate to pick this one!

Thank you, NetGalley & Kensington Books, for giving me an ARC. This honest review is left voluntarily.

Redemption - Alexandra Ivy

A bit of lust and a lot of suspense. They’ve connected, but lost touch due to a horrible event. But now she’s back, and Ian is not going to let her go again. I liked their dialogue with each other, especially in their stressful jobs. “Everything”.

Rescue: Hero Style - Rebecca Zanetti

A lot of intrigue with very interesting characters. When someone disappears, you think it’s over, but it’s really not. It’s about forgiveness. I really was not happy with Ella at times, too stubborn, but Caden did not want anyone weak, he wanted a strong, independent woman that brought a smile to his face every day. More interesting facts played out as the story went on and I definitely want more of these characters.

One Last Kiss - Kat Martin

Libby was an enigma. Spoiled, little rich girl, but oh so much was hidden and brought to light when she went to work out in the country. Loved her insecurities and what Sam did to help her get over them, and being with the right man. John was very poignant as well, wondering if she knows if she’s home or not. Loved this conclusion and this third installment in Peril.

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

4.5 ☆

Each story follows the path of a band of criminals who caused trouble in every city or town they step foot on.

I've loved each story in their own way, however, they leave you wanting for more. You'll want to know what comes next for the other characters and how the main character's story continues after their ordeal.

Although this is my second read of Alexandra Ivy, I've loved the characters and their story following the path of a cop killer that is back in town. This is where the band is formed and starts breaking havoc.

Rebecca Zanetti's story is what we hope for and so much more. It's a second chance with a lot of mysterious characters that are part of the town and play an important role. Here, the sheriff will go above and beyond to keep the woman he loves safe.

Kat Martin's story is part of the Blood ties series, where we get to know Kade Logan's best friend's story (Sam) and what happens when said band of criminals appear in his ranch and Libby is on their sights. How a relationship is put to the test and what he's willing to do to save her before it's too late.

It's a bundle of well written stories that'll keep you on the edge of your seat and make your heart stutter a few times. Can't wait for what's next for each author.

This book is comprised of 3 novellas, one by each of the authors listed on the cover of the book. All 3 are good stories, with one thing in common. Criminals who have come to the area up to no good and a romance. I enjoyed all 3 books. This would be an excellent book for a lazy afternoon on the beach. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

There are 3 different stories one by each author. The Kat Martin story is One Last Kiss which was a novella from one of her series. A spoiled rich girl is forced to work on a ranch to earn her inheritance while a group of thieves are hiding out there. Rebecca Zanetti’s story is about a bank heist in a small town and Alexander Ivy writes about the hunt for a cop killer who returns to town for one more big job. The stories are quick easy reads but hold your attention with enough action and suspense.

This is the second book of collective stories by these authors. This book spans a few groups of characters, a few locales, and some second chances at love along the way. My favorite may have been Rebecca Zanetti’s story, though, because I felt every bit of sadness and misery and anger and love that Ella did along her recovery. But is it really recovery when the guy who broke your heart is the one determined to patch it back together? And can he be trusted? All three are worth reading through.

This is the second collaboration of with these authors that I have read. I really enjoy how its three novels in one book interconnecting. It is fun to read and see peaks from some characters in the author other series. All in all if you have read any of these authors books, you know you will not be disappointed.

It was fun reading Peril with each story being interconnected. Each of the three stories were written by different authors, and while there were different main characters in each story, there was one piece of the story line that was carried throughout all three stories. Sometimes with these anthologies, the writer's styles can vary so wildly that it is a little off-putting, but that was not the case with this one. While each author had their own style, I felt that they went well together.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and Kensington in exchange for an honest review.

This trio of tales has it all: mystery, murder, action, adventure and above all romance: sexy times and alpha males to boot. You can never go wrong with a Rebecca Zanetti novel and the other two are just icing on the cake! A must read.

This book is comprised of three short stories, each written by a different author, but they share a common denominator: the group of criminals. Each story was set in different locations, but I liked seeing how each author was able to tie the group in with their own characters almost seamlessly.

My favorite story in Peril was Rescue: Hero Style by Rebecca Zanetti. I found this one to feel the least rushed, the most developed, and the most believable. Redemption by Alexandra Ivy was an insta-love story, which I don’t normally enjoy. Kat Martin’s One Last Kiss isn’t necessarily an insta-love story, but it did seem the least believable out of the three stories. It was hard to buy that after everything that happened, the bank robbers, who were on the run, would just be hanging out at the cabins and taking horseback trips with other people staying there, when that could put them at risk of being discovered. The romance itself in that story didn’t feel rushed, which I liked.

Each story in the book is a fairly quick read, so you can read each one in a sitting. I enjoyed it overall and would be interested in seeing these authors work together again.

Peril involves three interwoven stories about women on the run—and the men who help them along the way. First, a pair of Denver police officers facing each other for the first time after one night of wildness find themselves working together to stop an ambitious bank heist. In Wyoming, a string of robberies marks the gang’s arrival, and the local sheriff springs into action when the criminals discover his estranged fiancée can identify them. Finally, in the mountains of Colorado, the gang takes shelter on a peaceful guest ranch, where a fiercely protective rancher is hellbent on roping the fugitives up for good. I was not a fan of these stories.

Peril is an anthology by authors Rebecca Zanetti, Kar Martin & Alexandra Ivy. It includes three short stories that tie into each other via a gang of criminals.

Tropes:
✔️ law enforcement
✔️ romantic suspense
✔️ strong willed heroines
✔️ committed alpha heroes

I love anthologies for a plethora of reasons, the main ones being that I get to meet new authors while also getting more of the author(s), characters and series I love. They’re perfect to read over lunch or with an afternoon coffee. The only problem is that I can’t seem to get enough.

In this collection I love that we get three novellas with strong willed heroines and determined alpha heroes tied in through a gang of thugs that blow through town in a whirlwind of mischief and chaos forcing each couple to work together and through their problems.

REDEMPTION by Alexandra Ivy
I’ve only ever read her paranormal short stories but Redemption was exciting and hart stopping with its jaw dropping reveal at the end.

RESCUE: HERO STYLE by Rebecca Zanetti
Rebecca Zanetti is one of those authors who I’ll read whatever she writes. Rescue: Hero Style is a second chance short story that follows Caden Scott, the town’s sheriff and Ella who works at a bank and is a front row witness to the thugs’ disruptions.

Suffering from PTSD Caden breaks off his engagement with Ella because he feels he’s a danger to her. But after working through his problems and getting a handle on them he comes back to plead for a second chance only to be disrupted by thieves. Can he protect her from danger and convince her to be his forever?

Besides this being a thrilling romance, I LOVED having the Cattle Club back with Austin and Harley (the wolf). I really, REALLY hope Rebecca expands on this universe.

ONE LAST KISS by Kat Martin
As with Alexandra Ivy, I’ve only ever read Kat’s short stories. I really enjoyed how she wrapped up the overall arc regarding the crew of ciminals.

The only author that I’ve read was Kat Martin. I enjoyed her part of this connecting story. Sam and Libby found that their perceptions of each other wasn’t exactly what they thought. Libby found that her uncle knew more about what was important than she thought. I’m not sure if the copy that I received was properly formatted. The last chapter and epilogue was really for the second story “Rescue:Hero Style. The first two books were by authors that I haven’t read before. I did enjoy “Redemption”. I liked Tessa and Ian as a couple.

Rebecca Zanetti is one of my favorite authors so I knew I would love this book. I don't usually like reading books by three different authors but I enjoy each author separately so I figured this book so big good. It was beyond good it was great. I loved the way the story went from one book to the next without skipping a beat. I hope one if not all three of these amazing authors write a sequel as well.

I'm a fan of Rebecca Zanetti, so I was quickly drawn into this romantic suspense. The three stories were woven together nicely despite the three different authors and I hope to read more about the background characters introduced in each.
What worked:
1. The main characters in each story were excellent. Police officer Ian's long-simmering feelings for former colleague Tessa threaten to complicate their chance to finally catch a murderer and his accomplices. I loved Ian's character and his obvious devotion to Tessa and creating a future with her.
2. In the second story Ella is trying to get over her former fiancé, Caden, when he returns to town to reclaim her and the life he seemingly deserted six weeks before. This is complicated by the arrival of the criminals from the first story.
3. In the third story, the criminals turn up at a ranch where heiress Libby is working for ranch owner Sam. Libby and Sam quickly fall for each other only to have the three men complicate matters when they threaten Libby and the other guests.
4. I love the side characters, especially the Cattle Club members in the second story. They turn up in other stories and I am looking forward to Rebecca Zanetti's full-length novels about a few characters, especially Tara and Austin. I'm also hoping for a story about Striker from Alexandra Ivy's story and Big John from Kat Martin's story.
5. The wolf that showed up in Zanetti's story was another great side character who added levity to the tense situations.
6. I liked that all three authors were able to write the same characters without changing them from story to story.
What didn't:
1. The ending was unclear. Instead of an epilogue for Kat Martin's story, the next page was chapter 17 and the epilogue from Zanetti's story.
2. The men were a little possessive and there were times when I wished the women did a little more to save themselves.

The first book of short stories I read by these ladies was Pivot and it was great. Peril their newest collaboration does not disappoint! First up is Alexandra Ivy's is Redemption, Tessa is a strong police officer in Pike Wisconsin, the location of Ivy's dark suspenseful series. She returns to Denver when the killer of her police partner resurfaces. She's also returning to a lost opportunity in the love department with Ian, a fellow police officer. I don't know which was more exciting the hunt for the killer or the rediscovery of love.
Next, was my favorite author Rebecca Zanetti's story Rescue: Hero Style. Ella is someone you'd want as your best friend so you root for her from the start. Caden is the towns' Sheriff and he is on the road to healing his soul. Can he also heal his relationship with the love of his life while finding out who is causing trouble in his peaceful town? Find out what trouble the gang from Denver has brought with them.
Last but not least, Kat Martin's One Last Kiss. This story was my favorite of the group. Libby's outside persona didn't match her inside and it was great to see the butterfly emerge from her cocoon. Sam and Libby were the perfect match and I'd love to read another book about them.
I know Deke was the original criminal everyone was searching for but R.J. and Vince were just as despicable. All of the short stories fit seamlessly. A winner for romantic suspense lovers.

I initially requested this book because I love Kat Martin, but now after reading it I am a fan of Alexandra Ivy and Rebecca Zanetti I love romance adventure stories in these three Novelas were right up my alley. I am usually a historical romance the end but I receive Kat Martin’s book for free and have been a fan ever cents and now I will be looking for these two other authors books as well. The last story was my favorite but all three are so worth reading. Not to mention who doesn’t like getting three books for the price of one. So good a book I highly recommend by three well-established authors and it makes me feel like a lucky girl that I got to read them prior to publication. I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.
