Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sending and allowing me to read this book.
I was so happy to see I received this because I loved her other book. This is very good and I hope the author continues to write more novels In the future.

Thank you for the opportunity but this book is just not my cup of tea. The writing style is juvenile. The pacing lags then speeds up then lags again. I could not stay engaged with the story.

I’m so attached to this story and these characters that oftentimes it shakes me to my core. Ever since I read the first book, I cousins help but love them. But this book, set the bar too high. It basically picked up right where we left off after the book 1. But throughout my entire read, I couldn’t help but wonder how polished the writing style was, and how far these charters have come. Also the plot and the set up had me in sheer awe! Overall, it was a full 5 stars read for me

Absolutely love anything vampire!

This book is the sequel to Belle Morte and picks up t where Belle Morte leaves off. If you haven't read Belle Morte I recommend it is read first to follow the story line.

If vampires are your thing, you will love this series. Even if they are not, or if you don't know if they are, read this series and you will fall in love with the story.

If you loved Belle Morte, you'll love this sequel. If you haven't read book one, please do and give the series a try. It is fantastic! I promise.

A must read for vampire lovers!!

Highly recommend.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for granting me a copy of this book in return for my honest opinion. All opinions expressed are my own.

Bella Higgin knocked it out of the park with this book. I absolutely loved Belle Morte, but Revelations was so much more in depth, and had so many layers.

I loved seeing more sides of all the characters. There was so much scheming and planning, and ACTION in this book. The battle scenes were so well written and addicting. I felt myself turning the pages at a speed I didn’t even know I could read.

I loved Edmond and Renie’s story blossom more even in the face of uncertainty. The backstory to him, and the other characters was such a nice added bonus that brought a light note to a darker setting.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

First I would like to thank NetGalley and Wattpad Webtoon Book Group for allowing me to read this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Revelations is the sequel to Belle Morte, a fantasy ya set in a world where vampires and humans coexist peacefully. However, the balance has been undermined by a group of opponents of the "law" of vampires.

Compared to the first volume here we have more action, more passion and more emotions in general, that’s why I preferred it.
While reading this I really fell in love with the characters and loved Renie.

The writing of Bella Higgin is very simple and flowing and the covers are beautiful!

Why recommend this book? Because it's a fun and undemanding read!
From today I am officially a Vladdict.

Frighteningly fun escapism for fans of vampire stories!

Follwing the events of Belle Morte, Renie Mayfield's life has literally been turned upside down. After being attacked by her once-lovely sister who's been turned rabid in a botched turning attempt, Renie finds herself waking up as a vampire. Edmond Dantes, the vampire with whom she's fallen in love, has been imprisoned with silver chains (a form of torture for vampires) as punishment for turning her without permission. Her human friends from her time as a blood donor don't quite know what to make of her in her new form. And Etienne, who Renie once thought was her friend and ally, has been revealed as a co-mastermind in the sinister events in an attempted takeover of Belle Morte and the vampire world at large. Can Renie and her friends save the system, or will it all come crumbling down and destroy them all?

As a mom and a public school librarian, life is stressful and so I find myself looking for novels that will take me places I've never been and to meet people I'd probably never cross paths with in my real life. Revelations and its predecessor, Belle Morte, fit the bill perfectly. These books have been so much fun to read and have been a source of escapism to devour when I've needed it most. Bella Higgin has crafted a world and characters that I feel like I know, and I find myself invested in and cheering for Renie, Edmond, and even Ysanne. I can't wait to hear more from them!

Revelations is a YA vampire fantasy vampire romance that lived up to the hype of the first book and turned out to be just as great. I enjoyed the mystery and intrigue of the secret ways of the vampires and loved reading about the violent and ghastly fights that played out on the page. The romance was even amped up and was sweet and steamy, which will satisfy YA and adult readers alike. I highly recommend this sequel and I can't wait to see what Bella Higgin puts out next!

Revelations Belle Morte #2 by Bella Higgin was just as great as the first book.

I loved Belle Morte and the second story was no different.
The vampire romance is one of my absolute favorites and Morte does an amazing job creating likable characters.
This is a great YA book. This story has just enough romance, mystery and plot to get the reader wanting more.

We are back at Belle Morte! Kind of lol. IF YOU HAVEN'T READ BELLE MORTE YET, DON'T READ FURTHER. You've been warned.

So we finished the last book on quite the cliffhanger - Renie's a vampire, Edmond is locked up, and Etienne appears to be the evil mastermind behind it all. This book starts right where we left off and gathers speed from there. I like that it was fast-paced and I loved all the curve ball that get thrown in. There's nothing as exciting as a good plot twist, and this book has them in spades.

I actually really like Renie as a character - she's strong and independent, and doesn't whine and complain. She sort of just learns to accept things, and moves on. It's quite refreshing for a YA series. Edmond is also great - he's sweet and in love, he'd do anything for Renie. I personally prefer my male leads to have a bit of a 'bad boy' streak, but Edmond's loyalty is definitely a draw. I also love the side characters - they added some great aspects to the book.

The writing itself is pretty good - it could use a little bit of tightening, it still comes off as a little bit 'debut-ish' but I can see a lot of potential with the writing style and look forward to following this author to see her progress and growth.

Overall, this is a good book with a unique take on vampires. I'm not sure if this series is going to continue or if it's a duology - it could sort of go either way. I'm satisfied if this is the end, but I would also read a third book if that was happening as well. Either way, decent read that a lot of readers are going to enjoy!

Thank you to Wattpad Books and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

First off, what a gorgeous cover! Revelations by Bella Higgin is the sequel and second book in the Belle Morte series. The story is set in a world where different vampires are treated like royalty and have their own courts/houses. The story revolves around Renie, who has survived her sudden and unexpected transformation from human to vampire. Her true love Edmond has been imprisoned for turning her. Now it's up to Renie to free Edmond, locate her sister June, and find out who the villain behind the recent attacks on Belle Morte is.

Here is a captivating excerpt from Chapter 1, which is from Renie's point of view:

"I drifted in darkness, blind and deaf to anything but the constant, gnawing ache in my stomach. Every so often a warm, sweet liquid slid down my throat and the hunger pangs faded, but never for long. That terrible hunger always surged back, like fire.
Occasionally, there were snatches of awareness: the sensation of cool hands touching my face; the faint murmur of a male voice. At the back of my fevered brain, I was aware that I knew that voice, loved that voice. But then the hunger roared back and everything was lost."

Overall, Revelations is a YA vampire fantasy romance that, in my opinion, was even better than the first book. I liked the first book, but I loved the sequel. Maybe it's because I'm used to the world and know the characters now. One highlight of this book are the exciting and bloody fights, which are more intense than I expected. Another highlight of this book are the amazing romance and plot developments. If you're intrigued by the excerpt above, or if you're a fan of YA fantasy books in general, I highly recommend that you check out this book when it comes out in May!

Having loved Belle Mort, I was excited to receive the sequel through NetGalley. Whilst it was nice to continue to story, I did feel it wasn’t as original as the first in the series. From a fairly unique concept of celebrity vampires in the first in the series, this sequel was a more familiar story of warring vampire factions, which didn’t feel as fresh. So at times there was a lot of inner angst, which was repetitive and detracted from the story.

Thank you to the publishers for reaching out with an e-copy in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely adored the first installment of the Belle Morte series and was OVER THE MOON to be able to read this arc.

I thought, for the most part, this was an epic sequel to the first brooding, mysterious and dark installment. Being back with beloved characters was so lovely and I absolutely adored their sarcastic, witty banter intermixed with the complicated and bloody history of Belle Morte and the dangers they continually faced. If anything, my one and only thing that dragged down my rating was the spice felt so out of place. It yanked me out of my reading experience every time Edmond and Renie would just be a part of a serious, stomach-turning decision or endure a torturous scene to then just have random sex. That aside, I thought Higgins’s did an absolutely incredible job navigating the twists and turns, this installment felt just as atmospheric as the first as she meshed new characters with known ones, enticed the reader with heartbreaking discoveries and captured the heavy weight of grief so well. Truly an incredible read, this series was the re-ignition to read more vampire books, again. Somethings never change.

A very good conclusion to the chaos and twists left over from Belle Morte. A lot on tackling grief and trauma, learning to accept a new path in life, and fighting for those you love and those who need your help. Lots of beautiful moments, lots of vampires, and great friends.

I always was and will forever be a sucker for a good vampire story.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this sequel to Belle Morte. The story picks immediately after the cliffhanger ending and we have a newly turned vampire Renie being cared for by her love interest/vampire Edmond.

The story dives straight into the ramifications and punishment Edmond faces for turning Renie. The vampire council meets to seal his fate and take down the vampire Etienne (or so you think) and you get thrown a major plot twist that may change the relationship between humans and vampires for good.

There’s vampires, mystery, betrayals, action, and romance! I don’t want to give too much away and spoil it. It’s a good read.

I adored Belle Morte, and was so excited to receive not only an email, but also an ARC from the publisher allowing me to request the second in the series, Revelations. However, after reading the story, I am disappointed that it just didn't "do it" for me. The story begins right where Belle Morte leaves off, with Remy turning into a vampire as Edmond watches over her. From there, the story dissolves into one that just seemed like words on paper for me. I didn't find anything drawing me in to continue reading. I did manage to make it to about 75%, but I admittedly skipped through the last quarter of the book. I knew how things would end -- happily -- and it just seemed like a waste of time to prolong the inevitable. I was glad to see that Remy and Edmond finally declared their love, but even that wasn't the slow burn and passion that I came to expect from Belle Morte.

The story was fast-moving and well-written, but there was something missing. I just can't put my finger on it, but it didn't have the spark that Belle Morte had.
