I enjoyed reading book 4 of the Dalton family featuring Hannah Dalton and Declan Shaw. There were sparks flying, feelings happening, bickering and bantering, and a story to go along with it all. I was able to listen to the audiobook and the narrators kept my interest. Declan was a closed off character for the most part and the narrator caught that with his voice. When the scenes called for Dalton to confront feelings, I felt the conflict in the audiobook. It’s not always easy to convey those feelings a reader interprets with the written word. I enjoyed the audio version.

DNF 3%-Received audio book from publisher in exchange for review.

I chose this book because I liked the sample of the narration. The guys voice sounded sexy at first, but after listening for a chapter, I got annoyed by it. It sounded like he was trying to make it lower and I am weird about voices (they have to be something I like listening to and it isn’t always easy to define).

BUT since this book is also on KU I downloaded the book as well, and I wasn’t impressed there either. It read to me like a woman writing a man’s voice and his over-the-top macho thoughts felt too much to me. Also, I didn’t like the amount of cursing. While I’m not against it, it felt superfluous and thrown in. Ultimately, I decided the voice (both the narrator and the author’s) wasn’t for me, and cut my losses early on so I don’t have a ton of comments about the actually story/plot, but I was interested in the premise, I just wish it was done better.

I've loving every installment of this series and this one is no different. Hannah was such an awesome character, and I really enjoyed how strong, intelligent, and ambitious she is. I loved that her character was a part of the Dalton family, but she was willing to work hard to earn her place. Of course, Declan was smitten with her from the beginning, and he recognizes the potential in Hannah to be a great litigation lawyer, like him. He's also completely attracted to her, and they give in to that attraction. There was some miscommunication/
misunderstanding here, and I wish they had just been a little more truthful to each other so we get more of the romance and less of the angry and reserved instances from the characters.

The audio with Savannah Peachwood and Lee Samuels was fantastic! They portrayed Hannah’s spunk and Declan’ confidence in such an engaging way!

Office romance perfection. The Intern is part 4 in the Dalton Brother’s book series. It can be read as a stand alone- I didn’t realize this was part of series but plan to go back and read about the brothers! If you love the enemies to lovers office romance troupe this is a book you should read. The audible is fantastic too. Declan is typical alpha male player type and the moment he sees and meets Hannah he just knows he needs to have her. Love the chemistry between Declan and Hannah. Steamy romance book easy quick page turner read. Many thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the Audiobook. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Book #4 in The Dalton Family was an enjoyable read. Hannah and Declan have intense chemistry from the very beginning. I wanted to strangle Declan at times with his hot and cold attitude toward Hannah, but I’m glad they were able to work through their issues. Plenty of drama, sexual tension and steam. Loved seeing the other Dalton family again!

Savannah Peachwood and Lee Samuels did a good job bringing Hannah and Declan to life.

Oh my gosh!

This very hot, very off-limits intern romance was so good!

Author Marni Mann wrote another incredibly fun, banter filled, off limits romance! This storyline flowed so well, the characters were great, and the narrators were perfect!

I LOVED Hannah's character! So strong, intelligent, and dedicated...until the end.
Then there was the alpha-hole boss, Declan...wow! But then...he was kind of a Richard at parts!
These two were like oil and water at times...also like fire and gasoline!

Savannah Peachwood and Lee Samuels provided incredible narration!
This was written in dual 1st person POV with an age-gap.

I would certainly recommend this!

FIVE FULL STARS.

I wont lie, I wasn't sure if I would like a book as much as Ford's, because let's be honest The Single Dad? Perfection.

But Hannah, oh Hannah. I love her. This was phenomenal, I can't believe I just listened to what I just listened to. I was properly scandalized by the conference room and feral for the alley.

I guess I should have expected it and having listened to the audiobook, maybe it was Lee Samuel’s gruff voice but it started out really campy. Following a group of lawyers, the ego was absolutely hilarious and overdone. Declan is the best of the best (of course) and he knows it. He mentors Hannah after a one night stand and this then becomes a second chance enemies to lovers romance. It was fun, the narration for the audiobook good and generally, an amusing way to spend a few hours with good banter and a wonderful supporting cast.

I love this series and Hannah Dalton and Declan Shawn’s story is the perfect addition to The Dalton Family. This is an enemies to lovers story that captivated me from the first few pages and didn’t let me go until I had read the final line.
Savannah Peachwood and Lee Samuels did a wonderful job bring the characters and their story to life. They were spot on with the emotions and the sarcastic banter and very easy to listen to.
Hannah meets Dalton when he into her class to mentor the final year students, having the most famous surname in the legal world she decides to not tell him who she is. The attraction is instant and the chemistry is off the charts so what harm can a night of passion cause……..
Problem is when Hannah walks into her family law firm to start her internship it’s Declan who is her new mentor and boss. So can the strong minded and strong willed Hannah hold her own with the man intent on making her miserable and more importantly what happens when Declan realises he has finally met his match….one cluck to find out.
This is an entertaining read with wonderful characters, I loved watching the push and pull dynamics of every day life for Hannah and Declan and I loved watched their relationship go from lovers to enemies and back to lovers again. This is a story that has something for everyone and I highly recommend you one click this gem of a read.

first let me say that i have been obsessed with this entire series since i found it. i loved hannah so much in the single dad and declan had me curious. my expectations were super high. i eat up marni’s writing. there is something different about it to where it can complete draw you in and make you forget everything and anything else going on. the intern was one of my most anticipated reads of this year and it did not disappoint. i binge read the entire book in one evening. the intern had a lot of my favorite tropes and it was chefs kiss. the tension + chemistry between hannah and declan was undeniable. it burned through my skin. there was not a moment that i wasn’t rooting for them. can i tell you something? one of the best things that marni does with her writing is she keeps you on edge of the plot and STILL makes me feel super emotional about the MCs without a third act breakup. this is one of the hottest books i’ve ever read. a lot of the time there is either a really good plot or really good spice. and this has both. you feel so connected to hannah and declan— that it makes you feel like you are in their world. you could easily tell that even though in a lot of ways they were similar, they also balanced each other out. they pushed each other to be a better version of themselves. which, how can you not root for that?! i’m pretty sure this is my top read of the year. i honestly imagined how much i was going to love this book but it blew my hopes out of the water. i did not want this book to end. i just want even more hannah and declan! this entire book was perfection.

infinity stars / four chili peppers

tropes:
- enemies to lovers
- chance encounter
- workplace romance
- age gap
- forced proximity
- one night stand

i absolutely love Savannah Peachwood. Her voice is so soothing and she really brought Hannah to life for me. Lee is new to me and WOW. he really made me envision Declan. they did such a great on this audio!

The Intern is a quick and spicy listen. This wasn’t my favorite of the series, mainly due to a lot of explicit sex at the expense of the depth of the story. Nevertheless, the characters were relatable and made a great pair. I liked them together and enjoyed seeing the rest of the gang.

Savannah Peachwood’s narration is impeccable while Lee Samuels took a while to warm up to. I recommend The Intern as a quick escape.

is how I feel. I loved them so much. Oh my gosh. I love Marni Mann's writing. Though I heard this as an audiobook instead of reading it, I still felt everything. It was so good. I have to read the rest of the series because I skipped to ARC listen to this one.

Despite looking up to each other for different reasons - Hannah to Declan as a mentor and Declan to Hannah as an excellent student - they did give off a bit of a hate-to-love vibe after their one-night stand. Hannah resented that Declan had gone off with someone else. Declan thought his own web of stories too. Neither of them was truly correct about what happened lmao. They managed though, in the end. It wasn't wasy.

The narrators of this one were fine, but the pacing lost me almost immediately. The book felt incredibly instalovey, and while that is sometimes fun, I couldn't get into it here. This may be my fault, however, for not reading the earlier Dalton books first. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to listen!

"What Declan didn't know was that I was the storm. And he'd just ramped up the wind inside me."

Holy hotness, this book was absolute fire! Declan Shaw, top litigator in the state, was the ultimate alphahole, ruthless and relentless, powerful and demanding, so full of ego and confidence. Arrogant, controlling and dominant, he instilled fear in the courtroom, that same passion and intensity carrying over into the bedroom in equal measure.

Declan met his match in Hannah Dalton, the intern he was assigned to mentor when he joined the Dalton Group, the law firm run by Hannah's cousins who were also Declan's friends. He had first met Hannah at her law school class's mock trial which was followed by a few drinks at a local bar. With a growing pull between them, they had sex outside the bar, hot and unrestrained. But that was before he knew she was a Dalton.

"Even the dominant falls at some point."

Fiery and fierce, Hannah was brilliant and went after what she wanted, earning and deserving everything she achieved. Passionate with a thirst for knowledge, filled with desire, drive and determination, she wanted to exceed expectations, not merely meet them, and she wanted to be treated with respect. She was such a strong female character, a force to be reckoned with, and Declan found her impossible to resist even though he was the guy people couldn't say no to.

Declan was able to read people and see the truth in their words but Hannah threw him off his game, making him break his own rules and feel things he never felt. Thoughts of her consumed him and he tried to hide his feelings with anger, frustration and jealousy. The energy between them was absolutely electric and I couldn't look away.

"When you love someone, you fight."

The connection between Hannah and Declan was so magnetic and intense, even in the gaze of his eyes. The sex wasn't just steamy. It was feral, hungry and desperate, no holds barred sex where they couldn't get enough of each other. Power and pleasure were linked together, control and ownership dominating everything they shared. But could there be potential for something more? Hannah was completely off limits. Was she worth the risk?

"I'm giving you all of me."

I loved how Declan became another person with Hannah, how she exposed his vulnerabilities, revealing new sides to him and opening him up to the possibility of more. This was one of the hottest books I've read but, underneath it all, Hannah and Declan shared an intimacy in their kisses, trust and honesty guiding them forward. It was simply beautiful to watch the transformation as it all unfolded. When Hannah graduated and passed the bar, Declan bought her a gift that was so thoughtful and kind that it took my breath away. I loved everything about this book and I'm looking forward to reading what's next in the series.

I listened to the audio version and Savannah Peachwood and Lee Samuels narrated stunningly, perfectly embodying everything their characters were. They complemented each other flawlessly, as did Hannah and Declan, making this highly enjoyable to listen to. And I couldn’t get enough of Lee's panty melting voice as he brought Declan to life. I couldn't imagine the story or the narration to be any sexier and I loved every second of it!

I loved Declan & Hannah. This series is so fun. I loved how they went to Jackson Hole for work - it’s one of my fav places and made me want to book a trip there.

Thank you NetGalley for eARC in exchange for an honest review!

Can you really call it a romance if there isn't any until 75%?

There was nothing swoony or romantic about the MMC Declan Shaw until three fourths of the way through the book. Up until then, I was hoping Hannah would just punch him. They hooked up a few times and I was supposed to believe they fell in love when they had barely any other friendly interactions? Nope. Not for me.

Hannah and Declan's story was sooooo hot! Their chemistry literally burned up the pages. I was excited to finally get the story after getting little glimpses through the other books. Ms. Mann goes back to her hot and heavy in this book and it's absolutely delicious! I couldn't get enough of Hannah and Declan! I can't wait for Hannah's brother who is up next!

It as a little too much for my liking. Too vulgar. That may be to a lot of peoples liking but it felt like it was trying too hard to be porn.

I enjoyed the story a lot. The book was fast-paced and the spicy scenes were perfect. I do wish there was more character development with the male lead. I would have loved to see that.

Thanks so much to Valentine PR and Netgalley for the audio copy of this book!! I listened to The Single Dad on audio so it was only fitting I listened to the next book as well. I loved Hannah and Declan’s story and this book definitely earned it’s 4 stars from me!

The Intern follows Hannah Dalton, cousin to Ford, Jenner, and Dominic Dalton, and the Dalton’s best friend, Declan. After Declan makes an appearance in one of Hannah’s law school classes, they hit it off, only for him to seemingly stand her up. However, once Hannah becomes Declan’s intern, they find it hard to fight their attraction. I loved Hannah so much- she’s smart, kind, and such a badass FMC. Declan made me angry a couple times in the beginning of the book with how he treated Hannah but he grew on me as their relationship evolved!

If you love spicy books with a good plot, Marni Mann is the author for you and the Intern absolutely delivers. This office romance kept me hooked and I am really really hoping that the next book is about Oakland, Hannah’s roommate, and Camden, Hannah’s brother!!
