I’ve never read/listened to anything by this author so I didn’t know what to expect. Declan is a self-proclaimed alphahole but Hannah is no simpering wit either. We get both points of view in this book. This book is a little spicy, but it still has a story line. I didn’t totally hate Declan since I knew that to get where he was professionally he has to be a bit of a jerk. I didn’t think of Hannah as a person who was being manipulated. It was a push and pull relationship, on both sides. I’m so glad that I’m lactose intolerant and won’t associate milk with other things. I may have to listen to one of the other books in the series.

I don’t think I’ve heard the narrators before. I listened to both of them at normal speed for the first two chapters and then sped it up to 1.75. I liked the deeper tone of the male voice but the cadence felt off sometimes. The female voice was good.

I was in the mood for a moody alpha, and Marni Mann delivered. I only wish the book was longer so we could see this story drawn out a little more. I would also put in a warning that this book is graphic. So, if sexual scenes make you uncomfortable… maybe not the book for you. Additionally, due to the amount of “extracurricular activities“ there is little room for the story. Which, I suppose, is why I wanted it to be longer.

All in all, it was an enjoyable read. The narrators were also fantastic!!! Enjoyable audiobook!

Declan 🥵 this series is excellent! I’ve honestly loved them all. Ford is still my favorite but damn Declan gives him a run for his money.

Talk about a love/hate relationship, Declan and Hannah give you that. Throw some age gap and oh yea, he's her boss in there and this one hit the mark.

Declan and Hannah meet when he assists with a mock trial at her law school (also his alma mater). He goes out for drinks with some from the class afterwards and things heat up fast. They are interrupted, and afterwards cannot find each other.

Fast forward a bit, and we have their paths crossing again. The banter is superb. Declan dishes it out but Hannah can take it throw it back in his face. Spicy while still giving a great storyline!

My first read (listen) of Mann's work. This is the 4th in Dalton Family Series but can be read as a standalone. This book is Hannah Dalton's story.

I did roll my eyes a few times at a few things that I didn't find believable but overall, I liked the book.

I liked the set up of Hannah & Declan's relationship and how they fell for each other. Their attraction was 🔥🔥🔥!

I definitely want to read the other Dalton books as I enjoyed the side banter with the cousins.

Dual POV and narrators, they both did a great job.
