This book would make a fantastic movie, keeping you on the edge of your seat the entire time! This fast-paced thriller follows former detective Quentin Kane as he boards a transatlantic flight he'll never forget. With the assistance of former Navy, current commercial pilot Eden Stone, it's a race against time to find a safe place to land as they watch the fuel gauge numbers fall far too quickly... all while avoiding a mysterious, deadly creature escaped from the cargo hold, intent on killing everyone in sight. But the creature isn't the only thing killing passengers and crew alike...

As someone who isn't into horror movies because she gets far too tense and jumpy, I enjoyed this book from the word go (although I'd never be able to watch it as a film). Dragging you in almost instantly, the reader feels as if they too are on this surely-doomed roller coaster to Hell, where the only way out is straight through. Through a diverse cast of relatable characters and a very relatable setting, Houston takes you on the ride of your life as you fly through the book, absolutely needing to know what happens next. The perfect mix of suspense, mystery, action, and thriller!

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It was one part Jurassic Park, one part Snakes on a Plane, and a whole book full of fun. The fear that the characters experience is palpable, I would definitely recommend to anyone that likes a thriller mixed with a bit of Sci-fi.

This wasn't a bad book, but it wasn't my cup of tea. It felt like an episode of NCIS or like one of those b-rate movies you get on free view channels at 2am.

If you enjoyed Snakes on a Plane, you'll probably enjoy this. It was entertaining on a cheesy level and it gave just enough to keep me going to the end.

Eden was my personal fave. I'm all for women smashing it in male dominated jobs.

Unfortunately, I just don't think sci-fi is for me.

This was a super fun and unique book to read! It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I do not read a lot of sci-fi but this made me want to pick up more of the genre!

5/5 stars! Oh my GOSH! This book was creepy and kept me on the edge of my seat. I love thrillers but normally don't lean into science fiction as much. This book read like "The Strain" meets "The Relic" and my horror-loving-heart ate it up. Imagine when the scariest thing at 37,000 feet isn't the other people, but some creature from a nightmare and an airborne illness you can't explain. This book kept me pulled in until the final page. Great read.

I received an advance review copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

The idea of this book is what actually gives me nightmares, and yet I still loved this book! The suspense was fantastic and I felt like I was living the story.

If you are looking for pulse-pounding never-ending tension featuring mild-to-moderate character development that never gets in the way of chasing (SPOILER ALERT) a genetically modified monster terrorizing people on a plane, then this is your book. This is only tangentially Sci-Fi but it is one of those stories you really don't want to put down. Now for a little public service announcement: DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT read this book while flying on a plane or if you plan to do so in the near future. It's like watching Titanic on a cruse ship. It's not going to happen to you, but every little bump in the night will make you dream of impending doom. Then again, I imagine that was kinda the author's point.

This was a fun read. A genetically engineered monster on an airplane flying 30K-feet in the air. Great suspense and thrilling. A lot of sci-fi and action though those aren't really my cup of tea. And very easy to read. Maybe too simple in some places where I'd wanted more.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.

Eden is an ex navy pilot flying her first commercial flight. Quentin is an air Marshall.

When a strange creature on board runs rampant and then the aeroplane starts to malfunction these two must save the 92 passengers on board.

The author built the suspense well and I kept turning pages of my kindle to see what would happen next. All of the drama with Eden flying the plane was amazing and totally captivating.

However sci fi is not for me. I found the storylines featuring the creature far fetched and just not my thing at all.

A excellent thrill ride with lots of action. Good characters, a flight I'm glad I'm not on, could see this as a movie.
I received this book from Yorkinton and Netgalley for a review.

Fast action from beginning to end. While this isn’t my usual genre, I did like the writing. The characters were likable and well written. Isn’t wait to see more from this author.

I can appreciate what the author was going for here, but unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. I thought it would be a bit different but leaned too sci-fi. I think the plot sounds interesting but ultimately it isn't a book that is up my alley.

Thank you for this reading opportunity!

A quick read and a ton of fun. Non-stop action even during the touching scenes between the pilot and the air marshal.

What started out as an odd flight, soon turned into a heart-stopping fight for survival over the middle of the ocean. I love a story with a strong female lead character. This one has a pilot who will stop at nothing to save her passengers. The air marshal charges right into the fray as well.

The story had a bit of everything. A love story between Eden and Quentin that left me wanting more. Every scene with the little girl made me cry and then cheer for her bravery. The mystery surrounding why people were dying with similar weird symptoms without a scratch on them. Action. Tension. Characters selflessly willing to give up their lives to save total strangers. Multiple twists. I could not put it down until I finished it. If there ever was a book that deserves five stars, it’s this one.

I love turbulent thillers (get it? haha). The idea of a group of people stuck together trying to survive is my idea of book. And with a deadline too? Sheesh! This book was a great read. Two important people trying to save the plane passengers from two different but equally deadly circumstances. The dire situation called for sizzling tension and boy was that delivered. 4/5 rating from me and I'll have to check and see if there is anything else to read from this author!

HANG ON TO SOMETHING. This is a rip-roaring thriller from start to finish. It grabbed me from the first sentence and didn’t let go until the unforgettable end. It’s a tightly written story told mostly from the point of view of the two main characters, Eden and Quentin, with each having a unique and distinct voice. Eden, the pilot, tries to get the plane across the ocean before the engines fail. Quentin, the air Marshall, tries to save the passengers from something put onboard by a secret organization. If either fails, everyone dies.

The scenes in the cockpit are amazingly detailed right down to which buttons and screens Eden interacts with. The chances of anyone surviving dwindled with each scene. I loved everything about this story, but I have to single out the author’s unique voice. The way she turns a phrase made me laugh out loud at times and chilled me to the bone at others. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOWHERE TO LAND..
