This was such a strange book, I couldn't really get into it. I think this has the potential for being very hit or miss but it wasn't really for me.

An interesting idea, I guess every royal youth dreams of running away at some point, it's nice to see this one plotting more seriously his escape. Completely clueless about the world outside, the gap between the very smart friends at the elite school and the elite person without any street smarts is quite amusing. I liked the few plot twists, the simple yet funny jokes, details of the places and the depth of the characters and their feelings (except Rav who's quite reserved, but I guess it may be up for a next novel). I know nothing about the UK culture, palace rules and other language specificities so I will trust the author's acknowledgements that the slang has been reviewed for authenticity. A quick and entertaining read. Thanks Netgalley for the free copy and best wishes to the author.

The plot is fast-paced and intense, with unexpected twists and turns that keep the readers guessing until the very end. Heimbach's writing is vivid and engaging, bringing the world of running and politics to life in a way that is both thrilling and thought-provoking.

This was a super fun read. I was laughing out loud a lot, much to the dismay of my fellow commuters. Really enjoyed this quirky story. Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.

I tried to like this but personally just don’t think it was for me. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the mc and the plot didn’t stand out to me. Some of the typos i noticed in my epub did not help either.

This was laugh out loud funny. In light of recent royal events, it took on extra relevence and made it even funnier. My teenage grandson and grandaughter read this with me and both enjoyed it, although my grandaughter did rather use it to point out the stupidity of certain boys. Hilarious read it now!

An enjoyable read with a light hearted look at behind the scenes of the British Royal family, while clearly non-fiction it is probably more factual than other titles we could mention!

3.5/5 stars! I can't decide what this book is. It's quirky, funny, weird, and fascinating in equal measure. This book will definitely not be for everyone but if you'd enjoy a satirical view of the royal family, you'll get a few good laughs from this book. This is a lesson in just wanting to fit in and how we might be more alike than we are different.

I received an advance review copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

I liked this book. It was funny but also kind of timely with all of the Prince Harry press going on. I supposed he kind of pulled a runner, so good timing. I do wish there was more about what exactly happened to Alfred’s parents and sister. And parliament. But very well done.
