Final rating (aka after i finish reading the book): tbd

Unfortunately, I never got around to finishing this book when the arc was allocated to me (due to a busy schedule), but I did make my way through a big portion of the story. And um excuse me, I love Rose and Connor. They are the definition of a power couple, and I ate up their tension and banter. I'm personally not the biggest fan of the TV production plot, but I'm making my way through this series and find the concept of this universe really interesting. Hopefully I'll be able to find time to finish this book soon :)

“Kiss the sky with me,” Connor whispers, a beautiful smile pulling his lips, “and don’t ever come down.”

As the first installment of the Calloway Sisters series, Kiss the Sky stakes its claim as the “it girl” of romantic literature. An invigorating tale of strength, sisterhood, and shattering expectations, I am proud to declare that Krista and Becca have done it again. Not that anyone should be surprised. Setting precedents, it’s what they do.

Rose Calloway is the girlest girl to ever girl boss. When I say I want to be her when I grow up, I mean it with every fiber of my being. The one word I would use to describe her? Icon. Forever in her reputation era, Rose is the epitome of what it means to be unapologetic. In all seriousness, it took years of berating from her mother and the media to shape her into the woman we all know and love. Everything comes with a price, even the ones we don’t wish to pay. Rose is an inspiration to all the girls out there like me just trying to find their place in this cruel world. She’s the older sister we all need, and I say this in the present tense because I don’t even think the world would consider sustaining its orbit should she cease to exist. Her unfaltering love for her sisters, her found family, is one I aspire to one day live up to.

“People hope to touch the sky. I dream of kissing it.”

Ladies and gentlemen, that is my man, my man, my man. Connor Cobalt is the essence of a strong male lead. Witnessing him grow into his understanding of the unconditional love he has for Rose consumed me. To this day I’ve yet to read a protagonist, male or female, as strongly developed as Connor. I mean, shoutout to everyone who experienced the biggest plot twist of the century with his brazen confidence in the bedroom. The feminist in me is going to be raging at this, but I’d let this man stomp on me any day of the week. Give me a time and place and I’m there, okay? Walk me like a dog, sir. Respectfully, of course.

“You’re not a pit stop. You’re my finish line. There’s no one after you.”

Hold on while I cease to exist. No one’s doing romance the way Connor and Rose do romance. They simply cannot be topped. Our nerd stars are the definition of the word powerhouse. Name a more fierce duo. I’ll wait… They are class in all its beauty. I’m not sure if I want to be them or be with them. As if it's possible, they make each other stronger.

All in all, I think I’m destined to spend my whole life seeking comfort within the pages of this universe and I couldn’t ask for a better fate.

And to that I say…

“How long do we have left” She finally smiles through the tears. “Forever.”

I absolutely adored this book so much. I loved getting to not only see the dynamic between Connor & Rose but also with the core six in general. This book made me laugh, cry, and just smile so hard.

Connor and Rose’s relationship made me so happy and that ending made my heart swoon. He would do anything for her like where can I find my own Connor Cobalt?

Rose and Connor are the most intriguing and powerful couple to exist. Rose Calloway inspires me because she’s the epitome of a strong woman that fights for what she wants and sets the record straight. Connor and her are the perfect pair, they complement each other and understand each other in another level. I am obsessed with this book.

Honestly really enjoyed this book, which I was a little apprehensive about it since I really didn't like the other series by this author. There were a lot of faults just within the characters and the writing themselves (I won't spoiler) butttt yeah so it wasn't a 5 star for me for those reasons.

This one picks up right where addicted for now left off and highlights Connor and rose's life. Their lives are made public through a reality TV show involving the main 6 where they're all living together. This was a good read and different from other romances I've read.

I am addicted to this addicted series!

I absolutely loved Rose and Connor in the previous books and loved that they got their own book! I recognize that this series may not be for everyone due to multiple content warnings, but if it is - please read it! You will not regret it!

This series is one of those that will just crush you before you get the HEA. So many emotions! Rose is so smart and driven, but when she needs help, she has to rely on a college rival. She decides that in order to save her business and clean up the family name, she is going to do a reality tv show. Because that always works out well, right? Ha! I really liked Rose as a character. She is trying to be the good daughter, the together daughter and it has left with with some significant anxiety. Her and Connor's relationship was great! Overall, these books are just new adult gold!

My Rating: ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Disclaimer: I received a review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thanks to Netgalley and the authors.

Reading Order: I read these out of order, and I was fine, but you should probably do yourself a favor and read this one in order as they definitely build on each other. However, if you're only interested in one couple's story, you could definitely read the books about that couple only.

General Thoughts: I agreed to review this one before I got on booksta, so I had no idea the hype for this when I agreed to read it, but I did by the time I got to it. Though I think the Lily and Lo storyline gets more hype. Krista and Becca re-released this story earlier this year, but it was published a while back.

This is the first I've read in this world/by these authors. I did not read this in the recommended reading order. There are three love stories throughout this series, and they interweave the three stories—meaning you don’t get one complete story; they stagger them. So you’ll get a bit of one couple, a bit of another, and then a bit of another, and then back to the first, repeat.

I really liked the characters Rose and Connor. I know some people had some issues with their relationship, didn't see what they saw in each other, etc., but I actually liked them together. For anybody who likes reality tv, this is a fun one, as it has a reality tv backdrop. It was not the deepest book, sure, nor is it the strongest four I've ever given. But it was a fun, quick, enjoyable read.

I'm glad I read this one. I do think Ryke may be my favorite character, but I also really liked Connor/Daisy. The sister author duo have done a great job creating intriguing characters who are all very different. I also appreciated the way they represented Rose's mental health issues. I thought the characters grew a lot in this series, and I liked it.

I'm not sure how I want to go about tackling this interconnected series, but I am glad I read this one because it was enjoyable. This book seems like it wraps up the story, but from looking at their suggested reading order, I know there is more to the story for Rose/Connor.

Note: this isn't an enemies to lovers like I thought it would be.

Steam Meter: ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Kinky and steamy. Not the most frequent or graphic as some but definitely for over 18.

Romantic Tropes
-dual POV
-interconnected series
-academic rivals to lovers
-reality tv background
-mental health rep

I loved the expansion of the story lines of the Calloway sisters. It’s nice to finally see what’s going on in the lives of those who are important to Lo and Lily.
It’s nice to get the backgrounding of characters and understand why/how they are the way we’ve seen them be in the previous books.

Rose and Connor weren’t exactly my favourite characters in the series to begin with, but this book has begun to change my opinion on the. The different sides of the characters that we finally see and explore will have you wanting to read more into the book and the series. It did take a good chunk of time to really get into the story but once you’re into the book, you cannot put it down until you finish it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkeley Publishing Group for the eARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

This series keeps on getting better and better. This book follows Rose and Connor's story and I really loved it. The author's writing style stays the same throughout the books but I love the message they have between each book. This book focuses a lot on healing and finding love. I believe this book is longer than the first three but it honestly didn't feel like it because I flew through this book fairly quickly. I really enjoyed this book's setting and the whole reality tv show plot. This book is written from both Rose and Connor's pov and I loved them.

I really love Rose as she is confident when it comes to book smart but not when it comes to the bedroom. She is a great role model as she shows it's okay to be a virgin and to be nervous about things. Then there is Connor who doesn't believe in love but things change with Rose. He begins to also develop a relationship with his friends when he didn't expect it. Both develop a lot throughout the book and I was here for it. The side characters were great as it's still the main case like Lily, Lo, Rake and Daisy though I despised Scott and wanted him gone. The romance is an academic enemies to lovers and is very steamy. Let me say that I was shocked to find a whole different side of kinky Connor because man was I here for it. He's for sure on my book boyfriend list for how much he cares for Rose.

The ending was very cute and we get many epilogues. I totally didn't expect the book to end the way it did and I'm excited to see how it goes in Hotflower House. There sisters are really fantasy writers and so far haven't disappointed me at all. I'm loving where this series is going and I can't wait to read more of Rose and Connor's story in the upcoming book (after Ryke and Daisy's). I recommend this series but read from the starting!

Kiss the Sky is a captivating novel that seamlessly blends humor and emotion. The story revolves around a dynamic couple, Rose and Connor, both high achievers but with vastly different personalities. Rose is fiery and passionate, while Connor is cool and collected. Despite their differences, they have an undeniable magnetic attraction that draws others toward them. The novel is a rollercoaster of emotions, taking readers on a journey through the ups and downs of Rose and Connor's relationship. The author masterfully weaves together moments of laughter and tears, creating a truly unforgettable reading experience.

”I’ve wanted so many things in life,” he says softly, “but you’re the one that has meant the most to me.”

Rose and Connor. Connor and Rose. Coballoway, our favorite nerd stars. Sigh. This was a re-read of Kiss the Sky for me and I think maybe it was even better the second time. I adored getting to know Rose and Connor all over again with a few years of romance reading under my belt. I still love them just as much and think they are peak classic hero/heroine with that much needed modern flare. Rose and Connor could rule the world all alone, but walking together through life they are an unstoppable force. These two truly are each others equals in so many ways. In the way that Lily and Loren need and prop each other up to get through life, Rose and Connor could do it alone, but choose each other to get through it as partners. Balancing one another when they need it. It’s just fun to read a different dynamic in a relationship, but still seeing that deep love between both.

Of course we get these two in all their protective/genius glory, but we also get the whole addicted/Calloway gang. I LOVE how these characters interact with each other. They are a family of friends and actual family, but it’s just beautiful the love and care between them all. Yes, even Loren and Rose. This time though, they are all living together and filming a reality show in order to get the Calloway family name back in the public’s good graces after Lily’s sex addiction scandal broke. Unfortunately their producer, Scott, is more worried about making money and getting good ratings than helping restore the Calloway name, so things don’t always go quite as planned.

All in all this was a fantastic read the first time and an even better re-read. The bonus content had me laughing, the extended epilogue was just a Cherry on top of the desert that was this book, and I loved the little glimpse into Daisy Calloway’s brain we get in the bonus content. It sort of smooths us into the next read, Hothouse Flower.

I love this series so much. It gets better and better with each book and Kiss the Sky is where I became fully attached to these characters. I loved the academic rivals to lovers trope, the banter, and the reality tv concept. I loved the core six dynamic and the love these characters have for one another. I loved every second I spent reading this book and can’t recommend this series enough.

Although this is the first book in the Calloway Sisters series, I highly recommend reading it alongside the Addicted Series in the recommended reading order (which can be found on Krista and Becca Ritchie’s website) to get the most out of this series.

Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Just a disclaimer to start, I haven’t read any of the books in the Addicted series beforehand so this is a completely blind review. I was worried about reading this book because of that but it actually went fairly well. Of course, reading the Addicted series would be helpful before reading the Calloway Sisters series but I felt like I got what I needed out of this book. I missed a little background but I think that overall, Krista and Becca did a great job of making this a book that you could read without the other series.

I definitely thought some parts of the book were really cringey/cheesy, but I think that’s pretty common with all romance books. Especially ones where either the main character or love interest is into more BDSM-type love.

Overall though, I really loved this book. I thought it was executed really well and like I said earlier, the authors did a great job of making the book readable without having to read the earlier series. I did realize through this book that Connor is my favorite character and Lily is my least favorite. Which makes me nervous to read the Addicted series because I really didn’t like her in this book and the book wasn’t even really about her.

I’m excited to continue this series though and can’t wait to get started on Addicted as well.

DNF'd after about 25% of the book. This says its book 1 in the series but you really need to read the addicted series to get full understanding of this book. which I haven't done. Maybe I'll come back to it.

From the first 25% I thought the spice scenes were fun and written well, but I didn't care for the writing of the plot (or what I saw of the plot). It was a little too basic for me and seemed like just stepping stones to get to the spicy scenes. They mentioned shes a virgin about 25 times and that her sister is a sex addict the same amount. It's like OK WE GET IT!

Thanks to the publisher for the ARC in return for an honest review.

This freaking book was everything, This freaking series is everything. I love Connor and Rose so freaking much. Their love for each other is unmatched. The fact that they grow together and make each other stronger is so admirable. I hate Scott so much that I hope nothing but the worst for him. How can someone in their right mind do something like that. I’m obsessed with the nickname darling, it is so intellectually proper for them. I loved the FMK games that they played so much it was such a cute touch. I loved how they spoke French to each other; it was their secret thing. I love how Rose and Connor made amends with it knowing they couldn’t do anything but still loved each other through it. I love how Connor is the calm to Rose's storm and I think it is so cute that they speak French to each other because it is just theirs! I am so hooked on this series! The extended epilogue is so cute you have to get the new addition!
