On occasion we all need a little mindless romance in our lives and this sweet read offers that.

A will they or wont they story with a sappy female character and a male who was more silent than brooding.
It's sweet and a little predictable, but we all need that occasionally.

This is a pool side read that wont tax your brain, but may make you text an ex.

This was a cute read, showing that anything can be achieved with a little help from your friends. My favourite part of this book was the way it focused on family, biological or found, and on second chances.

This book is part of a series, but you don't need to have read any of the others to follow the plot of this one.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

I absolutely love this authors books and the primrose wood series are a fabulous set of books which could also be read as standalone reads but I highly recommend the full series for maximum enjoyment as they are perfect escapism reads with fabulous characters who feel like old friends They are lovely feel good reads which show anything can be achieved with a little help from your friends.

This story focuses on pia and Jackson but also features characters from the previous books cropping up too. It was fab to find out more about the hall and its surroundings too.

Can’t wait for the next instalment to see how pia and Jackson’s stories progress and to find out more of the goings on of the inhabitants of primrose wood.

This is not the first book in the series but I believe it does hold up on its own.
Just a slight nod about past characters such as Abby's ex. and a couple of other small details.

Set in a village called Norton End
Pha Temple, whom I'd 28,, had a short fling with Jakson Moody as teenagers they were first time ❤ lovers and when out after their A levels knowing it wouldn't last forever. However Pia never really why it ended so quickly.

Time passes I'm life but when Pha gets offered as wheree she has to run the social calendar at Primrose Hall! The only one problem is Jaxson is the new owner and she has history with him, can she get out of it!

Wendy's is Pia next door neighbour and had a dog Betty the dalmation dog 🐕 who plays a large part in the novel!
Wendy has arthritis seriously impacted on her mobility. Wendy in hospital Pia has to take Barney. 'Your like the daughter I never had ' states Wendy.

Pia has to sell her home to split the money 💰 with her brother, Connor. As he I'd getting married in a couple 💑 of months time.

Pia's explains how they want to hold
'Craft fairs food markets art exhibitions. That sort of thing, year round.' There is also talk about wring classes for children and adults as well as authors coming to give talks. It a lot for someone who been unemployed for ten years.

Its the time of the first craft fair. 'The plan was to start on a small scale to see how popular the open days were with a view to expanding and making them more regular events.
Her future is down to others her job and keeping Bertie 🐕 .

Rex turns up (Jackson dad). 'Pia could detect Jacksons hurt and vulnerability bubbling just beneath the surface' 'all She'd wanted to do was take Jackson in her arms and reassure him that everything would work out fine'.

At the very end on the book we get closer, as we find out why he moved away so quickly and why he came back.

There is plenty of room for another final 'Christmas at Primrose Hall' type book. I enjoyed it and read it quickly as the pace and style of writing is very satisfying.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me a complementary digital copy of this ebook in exchange for a full, frank and honest review. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

Then she answer to an ad for a job . The man she is boss happens to be her ex boyfriend Jackson . Her first thought is to leave but when she learn the benefits of the jobs she accepts the job . With her at the Hall comes Bertie her neighbor Dalmatian because she had an accident and had to stay at the hospital . A day is always made better by the release of a new Jill Steeples novel. I only found her books last year and she's already becoming a go-to author for happily-ever-after uplifting stories.

I liked the references to the previous book in the Primrose Hall series. Yes it is a sequel, and yes it does mention characters and hint towards things that happened in previous ones, but you don't have to have read the others to enjoy this one. It works completely fine as a standalone.

Jackson is a delicious man. In looks and in personality, he just comes across as the proper alpha male hero who is handsome, strong, sensitive, caring and protective, and I am here for it. Pia is a lovely character too. Unassuming and with a heavy heart, but she's confident and passionate and she makes an excellent sparring partner to Jackson. The secondary characters such as Ronnie and Rex are also fabulous additions. My favourite character probably has to be Bertie, the Dalmatian, he steals every scene he's in.

I love this feeling of family in the book, within blood relations, between friends, between staff, and between the community. That, and the gorgeous manor house, gorgeous animals, and a gorgeous man, just makes it the perfect book for me. It's also about the importance of second chances. Second chances with love, with family, with friends, with employment and with home.

It's not all fun and sunshine. It touches on topics such as physical illness, injury, mental health, house moves, job losses, controlling behaviour, relationships troubles etc. but in a mature way. They're not just shoved in for a surprise effect, they're sensitively woven in, giving this happy uplifting book a sense of reality.

When people say they read as an escape, this books really shows you why. For the few hours it'll take you to read it, you really focus on nothing else. You're warm and cosy and happy, and it's a great book to lose yourself in.

Jill Steeples has this amazing ability to effortlessly weave together people and their stories, through multiple books but also keeping each story its own. You can tell the care and love she has for her characters like they're her own family.

People say that the thing wrong with these kind of happily-ever-after books is that they're unrealistic, fantastical, too goo to be true, life isn't like this, it doesn't all end up happy every time. And I think they're missing the point. These books are meant to stretch reality, they're meant to be a fantasy, they're meant to be positive and happy and that's why I read them. Yes, I do love a good thriller and mystery and whatnot. But if I want cheering up, or I want a book I know will be comforting and uplifting and take me out of my head, then I go for one of these. And I think that's what makes them so successful. They're an entrance into a world of positivity. And for me, that's a plus point, not a negative. It's what is right with them, not what's wrong.

If anyone asks me to recommend a feel good book to them, I can't go wrong with a Jill Steeples offering, and this just gets added to that list.

I sure hope there's more in this series to come. It's just too scrumptious to end.

This was such a lovely read. I loved the characters and the location of Primrose Hall sounded a wonderful place to live and of course have wedding receptions. A really beautiful love story with its ups and downs. I enjoyed how the characters supported each other and their back stories made for a wonderful and compelling read.

A sweet romance at Primrose Hall. This is a nice series that is interwoven but stand alone fine. If you read the previous books you will better understand Jackson's background but not a big deal if you haven't. I liked Pia and the Primrose team.

Pia was about to lose her home and found a job helping running Primrose Hall with her x boyfriend from childhood. You had a mad dog, a wedding and old love rekindled . I did not realise at first it was part of a set but it does not matter. You also had a story line of growing old and moving into a home.Really loved it. Gave you a warm feeling.
