Gritty, edge of the seat desparation. The fight to survive against layers of conspiracy, brings characters to their sharp-end realisations, of what is truly right and wrong

I just recently read Frankenstein and, add that to my enjoyment of FBI / CIA shows, I thought this one would be interesting to give a try.

It started out fun, with a secret government program designed to create greater-beings using stem cells. One of the main characters ends up being one of these greater-beings who is trying to hunt down what happened to his deceased brother. He pretends to be a CIA agent, and the story picks up from there. It's a modernized Frankenstein novel, very Jason Bourne-esque (I keep seeing this comparison everywhere and I can't disagree with it).

While personally I didn't enjoy the genre as much as I thought I would, it was not the writing or the author's abilities that threw me off. I imagine if you enjoy action novels with secret government ops then this would be a very fun read for you. Definitely action packed

If you love action packed sci fi thriller, GRAB THIS ONE RIGHT AWAY. This one was so good, that it's difficult for me to express. This was the second sci fi thriller i totally loved after " Scarecrow has a gun" by Micheal paul kozlowdky which had blown my mind equally.

Trying to Create superior creature out of normal human beings is not entirely in unique premise for a book or a movie, but for this book, even if plot wasn't very much unique, was totally action packed, the writing is very good, so good to keep the reader engaged throughout, also the character are very good, the protagonist gives super hero vibes* and I don't know I just loved everything very much.

The story begins with a man hunt for a serial killer who is ruthless and is on a killings spree. He is murdering people in the most horrific ways anyone can ever think of. Search for this killer leads to unraveling of the secrets of an stem cell experiment to create a super human. The main protagonist Tom reese, actually using the identity of a CIA agent Tom Blake, set out to find what killed own his brother, and also find how used in as a test subject for the experiment. The question that lies is had experiment been successful in creating super humans or was it something gone really very bad?

Just one thing though, took me a few chapters to get into the book and start understanding what was actually happening.

Overall highly recommended read. If you like action packed plots with burning cars and movie like villan chase, mission impossible Vibes, a James bond twist, I would say run to the book store and grab this one right away.

This has been out since 2017 but hasn't attracted many reviews, which is probably why it's available in exchange for a free review. This has good pacing, and is a pretty fast read. It's not the best thriller out there, but it's decent and will likely please some seeking a spy story.

Thanks very much for the free review copy for review!!

Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this ebook.

Relatively short and definitely fast paced. It reminded me of a weird Jason Bourne meets Frankenstein and not in a way I enjoyed. It felt like the author was trying to write something solely to be adapted for TV. Lots of blood and gorey scenes which is not something I usually dislike but it came from really unrealistic fight scenes.

Not a terrible book but I didn’t enjoy it enough to continue the series

This one has kind of a sci-fi Bourne Identity vibe for me. I really liked the Story. I believe it is a trilogy that is being rereleased. I’ll definitely be reading the next in the series!
