This is book four in the Extreme Measure series. Each one can be read as a stand-alone, however, I recommend reading them all to get the back-story of each of the main characters.

Raina Price, a flight paramedic has put her past behind her and felt as though she had made a good life for herself, and no longer had to continue looking over her shoulder. All of that changed the day the big-screen TV was on with a special report on Olympic hopefuls, including Michael, age 13, an expert snowboarder. Raina knew immediately the life she had built with her new name was in peril. US Marshall Vincent Covelli immediately noticed the change in her countenance, and how very pale and frightened she looked. After eventually confiding in Vince, he makes it his mission to protect her by being her self-appointed body guard.

Many unexpected twists and dangerous situations arise and both Raina and Vince are constantly watching for what is around the next bend. This is an intense, action-packed story that is impossible to put down. Secrets are revealed and the value of friendship is apparent, especially those who willingly put their own life on the line.

I have read many of the books Lynette Eason has written, and I never hesitate to recommend one of her books. They are romantic suspense at its best.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I love well written suspense!
This story will keep you turning the pages.
Follow Raina’s journey as she takes a stand against her past trauma and nightmares.
There are several twists in the story that make the read even better.
As always, there is a Biblical truth throughout the book. Nothing takes God by surprise. We may not understand, but we need to trust Him.

"Countdown" by Lynette Eason had me hooked from the first page. This is the fourth book in the Extreme Measures series. Even though some characters from the previous three books appear in this one, you could still read this one alone. I loved the main characters, Raina and Vincent. I don't know how she does it, but Lynette Eason pulls you into her books and makes you feel like you are part of the story! This book had lots of twists and turns along the way. It was very hard to put down. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy a good, clean, suspenseful novel.

I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion.

A well written conclusion to Lynette Eason's Extreme Measures series. I enjoyed the storyline but didn't feel the romantic connection between the two main characters. It was nice to see familiar characters from previous books in the series make appearances throughout the novel.

I received a complimentary copy of the book from the publisher and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.
