Don't start this book if you plan to sleep or be productive in the next few hours! It hooks you from the start and doesn't let up until the end. Great book for readers who like clean suspense.

Raina is a flight paramedic who has been running from a stalker and has been hiding successfully until now. US Marshal Vincent Corelli'has vowed to help her stay alive and catch her stalker but both their lives seem to be in constant danger. This is 4th in the series about this flight crew and each installment has been a nailbiter. This one has really given me a great read -- constantly trying to figure out what will happen next and being amazed at the ability of this author to tell a great story and keep me guessing. Great read!

I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All views expressed are only my own honest opinion.

Wait what? I went into this book anticipating a fast paced plot filled with twists and turns and it really didn’t deliver for me. I had a difficult time right from the first chapters believing that this plot was plausible. I felt like the characters were reaching to suggest that this turn of events would start because of a sports news cycle. There were a lot of leaps and jumps they would have to be made for this plot to realistically go down the way these characters anticipated that it would. I just could not reconcile myself that this would even happen so it really took me out of the story. Raina and Vince were both characters that were just “fine.” I wanted to be invested, I wanted to be compelled, I wanted to have that edge of your seat feeling and I was so disappointed. The plot of this book was basically revealed in the beginning chapters and the rest of the book was just watching it play out with very little shock value.

I usually really enjoy Lynette Eason books, but sadly, Countdown was a DNF for me. Once I got to the 25% mark, I realized I was not really into the story and I wasn’t connecting with either of the main characters. While it did start off well, I felt after that first scene, the story became slow and somewhat unrealistic.

An absolutely amazing story full of thrills and love. It was a gripping story that kept you trying to guess and connect the dots until the end. Great life applications about healing, forgiveness, trusting God, and love.

A good, fast-paced story! Great for anyone who loves romantic suspense. Since this is the 4th book in a series I probably should have read the other 3 books first! I'll have to go back and do that!! Great characters, and not the typical plot. It's nice to read something a little bit different.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance e-copy of this book! All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Raine has a past with a stalker, trust, and her faith is a struggle.
She didn’t feel she could have a future, even if she was drawn to Vince.
While he was drawn to her, even if she kept him at arms length.
The author knows how to give us a story that draws you in, the emotion and
struggles that Raine has, you understand why.
A good suspense and romance as well as the series, readers will enjoy
Given ARC by Net Galley and Revell for my voluntary review

Lynette Eason knows how to write suspense combined with slow paced and thoughtful love stories and faith that doesn't paint everything rosy and is very down to Earth.
It was nice to meet this bunch of heroes again.

This is the last book in the Final Measures series. It tells the story of Raina and her struggles with a stalker and her faith. When I started the book, I felt like I was dropped into the book in the middle of the story. Around 20% in, the details were given and I can see where the story is going. There isn't much of the story of the friends in this one, but it is still good and could really be read as a stand alone. Thanks for the ARC.

The story I never saw coming! This is part of a series (Extreme Measures) which can be read stand alone but I highly recommend reading the books in order. I knew a little of what to expect having read the other books but Raina's story was a suprise.

The theme woven in the book is about trusting God which the main character struggled with. This added an element of realness to her character. It was also great seeing characters from previous books making an appearance. Worth a read!

I receive complimentary books for various sources including, Netgalley, Authors, and other such sources. I am not required to write a positive review and have not received compensation.

Another fabulous book in the series! While each book could be read as a stand alone, do yourself a favor and read them all! This book tells us Raina Price’s story. We know Raina from the previous books that she is the quiet, reserved friend, but this book shows us why she is that way by telling the story of her past.

From the very beginning until the very end of the book, you are drawn in to the danger, suspense, and emotions making it hard to put down. Lynette Eason writes so well that you want to devour her books but sad when they end.

I was given a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

Lynette Eason’s final title in the Extreme Measures series is an enjoyable quick read! I think this one is more romance than suspense, but I was still on the edge of my seat until the end and had trouble putting it down until I finished! I would definitely give a trigger warning to anyone that has suffered from abusive relationships or situations.

4.5 stars

I've been waiting for Raina's story. It's nothing like I expected and very sad but it's amazing to see how strong she became from all of it. I can't fault her for the lessons she learned and the decisions she made because of her experiences. I have done similar things. It's logical. But I'm glad she finally let people in and allowed others to help her.

I suspected one of the plot twists, only because I've seen similar things in other books before. Otherwise, I didn't really have an reason to suspect the person. And there was an aspect of Raina's past that I also suspected that was confirmed.

The only thing I wanted that this book didn't have was more of the friends. The pacing was great, and I really liked how the climax was done. It was unique and familiar all at the same time. The epilogue was beautiful and funny :)

I received a free copy of, Countdown by Lynette Eason, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Raina has not had an easy life from being in juvie to having an unwanted stalker. Raina meets Vince who wants to protect her, from her stalker, once and for all. This was a good quick read. I enjoy Lynette Easons book a lot.

This book had a good storyline but was a bit predictable. The action was so fast paced that it wasn’t believable. The romance was not unexpected. Not my favorite book by Lynette Eason.

Whew! Countdown left me on the edge of my seat the whole way through! Raina and Vincent are in a race against time with very few clues about who they’re up against. The dangers that befall them around every corner build the suspense levels higher and higher, while their friendship evolving into more provides the perfect balance of romance to all that suspense. Side note, the epilogue is amazing.

Wow! This book hooked me from the very first page and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
I loved finally getting Raina's story. She's intrigued me from the first book in this series and I was definitely not disappointed. I loved her so much more after reading her story. I was also very to get to see a lot of the characters from the previous books as well.
I highly recommend this book to anyone.

Raina Price performs rescues almost every day. But Raina has a secret and it is about to catch up with her. Vincent Covelli is a US Marshal who has been trying to get close to Raina but she isn't interested in a relationship. When Vince realizes that Raina is in danger he comes alongside her to help in an unobtrusive way that has Raina learning to trust.

I really enjoyed this installment of the Extreme Measures series. Loved Raina's independence even though it could get frustrating. Loved how Vince patiently won her over to let him help her. Raina's secrets could have gotten her killed but I loved how she not only learned to let Vince help her but also learned that God is faithful even if He chooses not to do something the way she thought it should be done. There were a lot of players in the story and the outcome was a thrilling ride!

Pros: Starts with a bang and does.not.let.up. I appreciate Lynette's plotting skills--I had no idea how everything would land until the end. Great twists, loaded with action. Even if you haven't read the earlier books in this series, you can jump right in. If you have read the previous books, it's all the more fun that those characters are essential parts of this story.

Meh: Without spoiling anything, the epilogue was disappointing and less believable because of the choices made making things seem a bit too much like a Hallmark movie, in contrast to the rest of the book.

Conclusion: Fast-paced, great plot twist, feel-good fun read for lovers of clean romantic suspense.
