Adorable! I absolutely love books like this! Where it gives tips on having a more welcoming home, examples, and things you can make and do to create a space you love. Calling the book the Happy Home was exactly right. The book made me extremely happy and eager to make adjustments in my environment to have my happy home!

The Happy Home : The Ultimate Guide to Creating a Home that Brings You Joy is a vibrant book full of photographs and ideas for styling your home. The author asks questions to help you find out what works for you and the mood you want to create. There are lots of crafty ideas and DIY projects that you can try. It is a lovely book to browse through but the style is probably a bit too fussy for me. It would make a great gift or a coffee table book to dip into.

Great ideas on finding organization and style you like for your own home. The author asks series of questions to help you decide what it really is that you love and/or need for your home. I really loved the questions and found them to be very helpful in determining my own style. Diy projects are scattered throughout the book.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinions.

This book is not for me. Literally. I'm a minimalist, and this book is about stuff. No fault of the book, I'm really not the target audience. It's very pretty, but for me every project in it is a no. Some of the projects are super cute but I don't need a match holder for my candles, because I don't have candles. Or pictures for my walls, because I don't have walls. I'm mainly kidding, but most of my walls are actually glass. The rest are plain. We like it that way. I like everything bare, with plants and as little else as I can manage. So, this book has some lovely rooms, that I would love to visit in, have a cup of tea (or wine) and then come home to my stripped back flat. This book does what it says on the cover - and reminded me that my home is about less not more. If your home is about arranging pretty stuff in a pretty way this book is a very pleasant way to gather ideas,.

The Happy Home is, as the title says, a book about using your own style to make yourself smile and feel warmly welcomed when you walk into your front door, and how to convey this sense to family members and visitors.

It’s short and to the point, neither preachy nor adamant that one needs to follow Chelsea Foy’s observations, with some handy tips and a lot of DIY projects to warm one’s space up. While I personally am not the crafty sort and would be unlikely to do these projects, other readers certainly might as they are neither complicated or expensive to do (I’m more likely to use my imagination with found objects or repurpose something I think of myself, but that’s me, not a criticism of the book).

I enjoyed reading The Happy Home because while I’m personally happy, there are parts of my home that are sometimes unhappy, and I got some ideas about how to remedy that. While most of the tips weren’t new ideas to me, some were, and they made the book pleasant to read. That said, if you are looking for grand interior design ideas or major decluttering and cleaning tips, this book is not for you, and that is not its intent.

I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This book is perfect for someone who is stuck in a boring cycle with their home, like me! I couldn't not agree more with Chelsea Foy when she states "This is a place where we nourish not just our bodies but our relationships, our spirits, and our hearts." If that does not describe ones home! This book is filled with functional questions, prompts, ideas, inspiration, beautiful photos, fun creative inspiration and so much more! Each chapter is laid out logically and easy to follow without feeling overwhelmed.

This is a colorful book full of photos, with some DIYs and ideas to help you create a happier home. The book is divided in 6 actions/emotions: Energize, Uplift, Comfort, Calm, Empower, and Express. Although it’s not my style I had fun reading some of the tips and ideas on how we can our home happier and set a better mood. I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review

Received as a free digital ARC. It has beautiful photographs and is a quick read. It is not an interior design book on what you should or should not do. It is more of a what brings you joy? What are you interested in? How to bring that into your home, making your home you. It does not involve renovation, knocking down walls, hang those curtains high and wide. It does include some DIY projects that appear to be easy, quick, for all ages, and for skill sets. For example, adding flowers to a vase. I enjoyed reading it and would reread it again. It's for readers who want to add a little pizzazz to their home without a lot of money, time, or effort.

This is the home decorating and organizing book I have been looking for! Instead of showing how the designer staged rooms and explaining their thoughts and organizational approach, Chelsea Foy asked pointed questions so you can understand what you want your space to look like. They she shows options on how to use that space to its fullest. You can make a room that fits your needs and is a space that fits your family’s lifestyle.

I like these books halfway between good feelings, self-help and home decor. They are good for the mood and, if I were also a do-it-yourselfer, good for the home. The photos are nice and the explanations clear, of course the house always the same and also the furniture, but it is like that in real life too.

I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

What a stunning book to look at. I’m dreaming of completing all the DIY projects included. I spend most of my time at home and this book gives me so much inspiration to give it a revival!

The book is laid out in easy to digest chapters. The directions seem like most people will be able to follow. I thought it would make a great gift for a new home owner as well!

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy for the purpose of this review. 5 stars!
