Devotions for a “Moving Mountains” Kind of Girl was written by Janice Thompson.

This devotional contains 180 devotionals for teenage girls.

Each devotion contains scripture, a relevant topic, and a prayer-all designed to encourage girls with the fact that they can do anything with God’s help.

My Thoughts: I actually handed this book off to my teenage daughter to get her thoughts. She is the target audience, after all!

She found each day to be a good length, and very encouraging.

She also really liked the prayers. She said it felt like you were talking to God as you read them.

She said the book made her feel like, “You got this, and God can do anything, and how God can help you through things.”

I would say this book lives up to its billing, and she definitely enjoyed it.

And I appreciate the way this devotional is really geared towards encouraging girls and drawing them closer to Him.

I would like to thank Barbour Publishing for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you!

This was a very sweet devotional book. However, I was struck by the editing errors! Ideally, those will be worked out before publishing. I prefer also the King James Version.

I requested this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review of this book. I received this book with my oldest daughter in mind after both my parents passed away and she was very unsettled with her mortality and her purpose here on earth.

It is a perfect devotional to remind her that by faith and believing nothing is impossible with God. It touched on topics that she has been struggling with like anxiety, doubt and courage, trust, uncertainty and many more topics that will help ground teens in the promise of HIS love.

This book provides reassurance that you are HIS girl and by putting unwavering faith in him, he can help you moves mountains!

Formating is off on the Kindle version and extremely difficult to follow. I would have liked to have read this in further detail but found it incredibly difficult to enlarge the font. If there is some way to correct this, I would be happy to provide further details on the content.

A quick read devotional geared towards teen girls. Would be appropriate for pre-teens, tweens & on up to older teens.

Each page has a theme, a Bible verse, an application to your life devotional & a prayer to pray.

Not super deep on the theology side. Quotes a lot from NIV, NLT, Good life Bible & Living Bible. Hope it will encourage young women to open up their Bibles & read more. A good starting place.

(I was able to preview this book in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.)

Girl, you were created to be a mountain mover!

I loved every single second of reading this, I devoured it all in one sitting. Although aimed at teens, I got a lot out of this myself (sadly, I am well out of my teens).

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

Devotional for Girls.

This is a short devotional book directed to girls. It consist of 180 devotionals that include a Bible verse, a short devotional ( including explanation and or a Bible Story, Bible background, motivation and contemporary examples) in a language and that is age appropriate and ends with a prayer.

As a mother of two girls I appreciate books like this that are short and inspiring for them to become the girls and woman of God that He created them to be. The devotional glorifies Jesus and inspire girls to be like Him on their daily challenges on a contemporary world.

I love this series so much! They bring me so much comfort and joy from just reading one page! That’s how powerful this book is.

I feel that youngsters need such books when they need some level of comfort as they feel the pressure of being both a younger person as well as becoming an adult. I do feel that this collection will help them to calm down when they read one page either at the start of the day or towards the end of the day.

I love the presentation. I love each page. I love the details. Just gift it to your teen child or your student. It’s worth it.

Thank you, Barbour Publishing, for the advance reading copy.
