This book was crazy as hell in a good way so I want to say thank you in advance for early Earc that I received. I am late doing my review but here goes. It was well written I have to give the author that but it was a lot of craziness in here. If you ever read Hitcher's Guide to the Galaxy then you will know what kind of crazy I am talking about lol. It was a very thought-provoking story and kept my interest.

The more open minded you are, the more you will love this book. The music aspect attracted me to this book, but the fantasy kept me interested. I’m not sure what genre this book falls under, but it was definitely not boring

I enjoyed this book a lot. It reminded me of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy at times and I adored its weird sense of humour. It's a lovely satire on everything corporate set at a record label: people giving themselves random titles, people burning out, people behaving really badly towards each other, money being valued more than passion.... Every employee will recognise this. Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

This book was so weird!! And I am not really even sure I completely understood it. The characters felt like a middle-schooler thinking of wild ideas for people while doing a creative writing assignment. You get someone who explodes on a regular basis, another who loses body parts, and my favorite which was a woman who's hair color reflected her emotional state. Though, this all came across as fun and quirky versus immature and silly. The whole story was incredibly unbelievable and campy. Aliens creating the perfect pop star and working with a horrible recording company. I assume that some of the situations referenced industry jokes that I am not aware of, but I could easily see how similar situations could take place. This story is definitely a fun break in reading, like deciding to have ice cream for dinner!

Well written and even though its not my genre I hung in and read it to the end. For those that enjoy the fantasy genre, it will be an entertaining read.

This is kind of unique and quirky, and has some humorous moments. Pretty good writing style and a good story. I enjoyed this but I wasn't blown away by it. I can see why it has won high praise.

Thanks very much for the free review copy for review!!

There's a lot of crazyness in this book: a lot of crazy characters, a lot of mysoginist and a lot of fun.
I think that Ms Hatz can write and delivers and entertaining and thought provoking story.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine

this was a trippy concept of a book, it did do everything that I wanted from the description. I enjoyed the way Diane Hatz wrote this and was invested in the story. It had great characters and glad I got to get to know them. It was a realistic concept and I enjoyed every part of the story.

"The second memo was a request from one of the talent scouts to up the bidding amount for a hot, new, hip band that, according to the scout, 'everyone was trying to sign'. Skeater scribbled a 'see me to discuss'. Many times, A&R people lost sight of the fact that bands 'everyone' wanted became more desirable, and therefore more valuable, because of the bidding war, not because of the music."
