Another instalment to the Cornish Midwife story that focuses on the lives of the midwifes - a perfect read for a Sunday afternoon reading about the midwives in their community. Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an early copy in return for an honest review.

I absolutely adore the Cornish midwife series and love how the author gets to the heart of real people and real problems in her books. This is book 7 in the series but could also be read as a standalone although I recommend starting the series from the beginning for the full impact and enjoyment.

This story focused on the characters of Ella and Dan and also included regulars from
The previous books.

This instalment concentrated on a lot of very sensitive issues and reminders of how life cannot be taken for granted and how everything can change in a heartbeat and how life can be changed in the blink of an eye. And that life is for living.

This story resonated with me on a lot of levels and was written in a very real and relatable way. And good to see these topics being brought o it in the open and covered in a book.

Looking forward to the next instalment of this series.

Lovely to catch up with the midwife team.
Ella and Dans story was interwoven with many updates about the previous books main characters and also had big changes for their lives.
Ella and Dans story is a reminder that life is to be loved, not to be complacent with each other and more.
Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely love these stories and feel privileged to read them, they are always full of warmth and love with maybe a touch of heartache but all comes good in the end

As ever, Jo Bartlett has written this book from the heart. The MS theme in the story is so real and believe me, I know only too well.

If you are an avid fan of The Cornish Midwife series, the characters will feel like old friends to you. And if you're just about to begin the books then they soon will feel that way.

A powerful story that shows how life can change in a heartbeat, and how different people deal with tricky situations in different ways. Having recently had covid myself and it appears to have set off what could be life changing issues, it is a book that hit close to my heart. A great read.

I adore the Cornish midwife series and I get so excited when another comes along. I love being back among familiar settings and characters and there’s something so welcoming about each new book.
In this one we travel a few rocky paths and witness a few tricky situations and decisions. Delightful as always!

Another great book in-the cornish mid wife series. Ella gets a medical diagnosis and finds it hard to accept help from all the people who love her. Sometimes we can’t see the forest for the trees. Great read.

Book 7 as part of the Cornish Midwife series. This book focuses once again on Ella. This time she is preparing to get married to Dan but is dealt with news about her health.

Throughout we see our favourite familiar faces pop up and nice to be back in Cornwall.

Lots of issues tackled which include : infertility and Multiple sclerosis.

Oh my. What an amazing story. It is book 7 and the series just gets better. Lovely to go back to Ella and Dan. I won’t put any spoilers out there but it was emotional at times. Very well written and some very tough subjects covered. Jo Bartlett is amazing . Ten out of ten.

Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. I really enjoy the Cornish Midwives series so was excited to read the latest installment. I enjoyed having Ella as the focus of this book again, and Bartlett tackled difficult themes with sensitivity and care. Already looking forward to the next installment, and I hope there are more books focusing on the characters from the earlier books.

The latest installment in this series. I'd not suggest this be the first you read. While good as someone who has read all the others and know the history, I enjoyed it. But it is really not a romance at all and focuses on the issues around disability and learning to move on in life when you or a loved one has a degenerative disease diagnosis.

One more jewel from Jo Bartlett . This book talks about Ella which is waiting to marry Dan in Valentine 's Day but after his sister pregnacy scare they postpone the wedding for later . Ella lately is having some headaches and blurred vision but because she is busy with her work she hasn't be able to visit her doctor . When she suddenly collapses in the hospital will make her find what is wrong with her . Her first instinct is to deny it . While Dan tries to be supportive and there for her they became distant . She doesn't want Dan to stay with her because she is sick and he have to . Dan is trying to make her she that he will do everything to be with her because he loves her . Will she give them a second chance before it is too late ?
I received this book from net galley and the publisher as an ARC. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own .
