Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a Wattpad but I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed this book! I liked the characters a lot. I particularly liked Indigo’s character and I loved watching her go out with these men and trying to guess who she was going to end up with. I also loved who she ended up with. At times this book did drag slightly though. It did take me a bit longer to get through than I normally would for a book. However, overall I did enjoy it.

I am not assessing the story, as this book has been released. I am assessing the audio experience. The file played smoothly and the narrator came across crisply and clearly. For this book, there is only one narrator who voices all of the characters. I listen to audiobooks often and play them now for my mother to give her eyes a break. In the last 6 months, we have listened to around 12 audiobooks from memoirs to romance to thrillers. She was excited to listen to this book and give her opinion as well. The narration was suitable: it was neither exciting nor stimulating. We ended up reading at 1.25x speed to help the narration along. Furthermore, the narrator struggled when providing male voices: I am thankful that we spent most of the time from Indigo's point of view. Again, the audio experience was suitable, but I am unsure if this is the best way to experience the story.

This was an enjoyable listen. The ending was great, I am glad Indigo finds her happiness. I do feel that some of the dialogue was “cringe” (although maybe due to the fact that I listened to the audiobook) and it was a little redundant.

A second chance love…my favorite! The best thing about this book was the narrating!! She did such a great job with the male voices … they definitely had swagger! 🔥

Thanks to NetGalley for the audio copy!!

I enjoyed this one! It was a fun quick read and a great rom-com. The characters were mostly likable and the writing was good. I like the story felt like it kept moving and the audiobook narration was entertaining. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

So, describing this novel for what it is would be a total spoiler so you're going to have to read this without a trope hint!

Indigo is approaching the big 3-0 and she's feeling a lot of pressure to be in a committed relationship. She's already a successful businesswoman and a stellar dog mom, aunt, sister and friend. So why does she still feel like something's missing?

So when she meets thoughtful Nathan and then infuriating Diego, she decides to try to play the field a bit - the goal being to bring a date to her 30th birthday bash - the one that her mum seems obsessed with planning.

And yet, for all the perfect moments (the many dates!) there's also a tinge of sadness, of secrets and in the end, I wasn't too surprised by how it all turned out.

This was a fun quick read, with good dialogue and likable characters (mostly). I genuinely laughed out loud which is rare even for rom-coms, however I didn't love the stereotypical gay best friend character. I usually don't like characters that are overdone and for a few reasons h3 fit thw bill but overall enjoyable 3.5⭐️

Indigo’s thirtieth birthday is coming up soon, and she’s feeling the pressure of not yet having a long-term relationship. While she’s great at running her business and engaging with clients, she’s yet to find a man who makes her happy. But when two men crash into her life around the same time, she finds herself attracted to both though has a hard time getting “The One” vibes off either. As she begins to fill her calendar with dates, Indigo hopes that one of these men will allow her to put the dating game in her past.

First things first: what I did like about this work was that it was a romance that wasn’t reliant on graphic sexual encounters. I personally enjoy reading romances that involve building a relationship, getting to know the other person, and discovering their flaws through conversation, rather than ones that are all about physical encounters. The author did an excellent job at writing friendships and relationships that felt meaningful and realistic.

One of the biggest drawbacks for me were the characters. While I liked Indigo overall, she wasn’t someone that I really connected with and there were a few things she did that made it difficult to empathize with her (one example: she was super rude to a lady working retail even though Indigo herself worked retail, and she felt justified doing it even when her mom called her out on it). She also dated a complete jerk, knew he was awful from the first second they met, but then was surprised near the end of the work when he did something offensive. The other man was honest about something he was struggling with, and when he regressed a little Indigo completely dumped him without looking back. Unfortunately, Indigo’s female friends were completely interchangeable and felt like they only existed to support Indigo’s character.

There wasn’t really anything about this work that stood out for me. The ending was predictable from the beginning. Several of the things that happened near the end of the book were too coincidental and wrapped everything up entirely too neatly at the perfect moment, which detracted some from my satisfaction with the read. I also felt that this work could have been edited down from 350 pages to closer to 250, which would have made the story more impactful and yet wouldn’t have lost any of the plot or important moments. That being said, there wasn’t really much of a plot, and it was easily lost among the episodic chapters.

This was a quick, light romance read that had a strong (but somewhat unlikeable) female lead and no surprises. I’m sure that other readers could easily enjoy this work, but unfortunately, it wasn’t for me. My thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for allowing me to read this work. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own.

I really wanted to love this book, but I struggled. The first half of the book is confusing. It's hard to differentiate the characters. The second half really brought it together and was a nice finish. I loved Indigo's boss babe mentality and sticking up for what is right and true for herself. I enjoyed her journey to find a balance between the outside pressures or marriage and a family while giving herself grace to find what she needed for her. There are a few trigger warnings to look out for but such is life. Overall, I enjoyed it for its journey but it left me wanting more. #TheManyDatesofIndigo #NetGalley

3.5 stars for this one. I loved Indigo's story and enjoyed the various love interests and family members that we got to know along the way. Her story is very relatable no matter what age you are. She is about to turn 30, is a successful entrepreneur, and has wonderful relationships with her friends and family. However, she is feeling pressure from all corners to find "the guy." Her search proves to be a mixed bag, as you would imagine. I listened to this on audio. I often don't care for narrators who shift their voices too low or high to portray certain characters, and that was true here. Most of the narration was enjoyable, but a few of the choices for the male characters' voices crossed the line and were too artificially low. Worth the read though! Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this advanced audio copy. This book is out and available to purchase or grab from your library. Happy reading!

Indigo is about to turn 30, after some truly horrible dating experiences, like finding out her fiancé has been lying to her the entire time they've been together she has taken a step back from dating to focus on her career. Now with her birthday coming around she's decided that she's going to get back out there and start dating again. She eventually meets and starts dating two men but neither is the perfect man that she's holding out for, that would be her best friend Tate.

This was a pretty light and breezy rom-com. I really loved Indigo she's smart funny and knows what she wants in life. I also loved Indigo and Tate's relationship they are honestly wonderful and super sweet together. My big issue with the book is Diego, he just gives off the worst vibes and I'm shocked that after meeting the way they did and his general attitude Indigo gives him the time of day. I also really want to give the author props for writing a clean romance, It can be hard to find clean romances these days (Even in YA novels) so I really appreciated finding one. The narration was super well done I loved how much personality the narrator was able to give to all the characters.
Thank You to Netgalley and the Publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

2.5 and rounding up because I think there is an audience that will enjoy reading this.

As someone who is very particular about the romances they pickup because it’s not a genre I tend to love, I’m always very conscious of my reviews because I don’t want to turn people away from a book they will enjoy, just because I’m picky.

I really wanted to like this one, especially since it features a Black MC, and she’s about to enter her 30’s, so I was hoping it would be relatable since I met my husband when I turned 30, but I found so much of it extremely grating. At the 50% mark I was ready to give up, but felt like I had to continue because of receiving an ARC. I’m sure this book will be liked by many, but so much of the conflict centers on non-communication and that super irks me.

Firstly, Indigo is a 30 year old woman who was burned in the past, and therefore everyone in her family feels the need to gatekeep her dating life, particularly her father, who repeatedly states that he needs to approve of who she’s with.

She is in love with her best friend, but they refuse to talk about their relationship. NOT COMMUNICATING as a means of causing conflict is a real pet peeve of mine.

So then she meets a really nice guy she likes, they talk every day, and yet it’s over a month before they discuss the fact that she has a dog, and he’s not a dog person? It’s over a month before he tells her he’s a recovering alcoholic? And she completely panics about it, and decides to not talk to him for days so she can figure out whether she wants to keep dating him? Again, wouldn’t COMMUNICATING be the best move on this? That way you can figure out together how to best work together to be on the same page with what being together would like, and what they both need?

It felt like a badly orchestrated conflict to make a reason for her to start dating the rude guy that works for the same law firm as her parents, who has been chasing her despite her repeatedly telling him NO.

So sadly, this was a miss for me, but as I mentioned before I’m certain there is an audience who will enjoy this.

This story follows our MC Indigo while she makes the transition into her 30s. After a bad breakup, she is finally ready to start dating again.

Pros: As a past Houstonian, I absolutely loved the setting and all the references to local landmarks. I felt like Indigo was a likable main character.

Cons: For me the story was predictable, the dialogue was super cringy at times, and I didn’t believe, nor was invested in either of the relationships she was pursuing in the story. They both felt forced to me, like these two men were her only two options to choose from. Like she’d rather be in a mediocre relationship than single. This just didn’t hit for me.

The Many Dates of Indigo may have been a predictable read, but it was a good one nevertheless. With witty banter, charming characters, and all-too-real choices this is a book that will grab you by the heartstrings.

Indigo had to choose between her career and love. Now she's nearing 30, she owns a boutique, and she's ready to settle down. The questions are: can we come to terms with decisions made in the past, speak up no matter how hard it may be, and take a chance when getting hurt worse is your biggest fear?

You may know who Indigo will end up with at the end, but I guarantee that there are parts of this book that you will never see coming. This novel is perfect for those that love friends to lovers and second chance romance!

This debut novel was a fun, quick read. There were parts i literally LOLed but also parts i rolled my eyes and cringed.

The title of the novel tells you exact the basis of what the story is giving. Coming up on her 30th birthday, Indigo is feeling the pressure from her friends and family about being single so she finds herself in almost 3ISH relationships throughout the book.

I honestly had a hard time cheering for any of the love interests. Diego was a hard pass for me. He seemed slimey from the beginning and 1000% turned out to be. Nate was.. idk he just bothered me. & Tate just seemed super immature and cringy throughout the entire time.

While i did enjoy this read i feel like the side characters could have used some fine tuning because our FMC, Indigo, was everything.

This was cute. I enjoyed Indigo and her focus on her career, though I don't love a "I'm almost 30, I need to find a partner" storyline. I didn't care for Nathan or Diego, which was good in some ways - it made it easy to root for Tate - but I was often very stressed waiting to see how they might let Indigo down. The narrator did a nice job.

The Many Dates of Indigo is a cute and and light read. Indigo is a very likable character and I enjoyed reading her journey of realizing who her true love is. The writing was fun and casual- Indigo's friends act and talk like some of my own friends, they are all free and fun spirits.

Rating- 3.5

What a fun and quick read!

Indigo was a great character to get to know! She was fun, ambitious, caring, and best of all, she has a giant dog!

I am a sucker for cheesy RomCom’s and this one did not disappoint. I was “yelling” at Indigo on what I thought of her dates, and got frustrated when she ignored what I considered yellow/red flags for her (like the one guy who didn’t like her dog), and was happy when she finally made the right choice.

So if cheesy romcoms are your jam, I’d definitely recommend this one!!

Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and of course Amber D. Samuel for this audio ARC in exchange for my honest review.

❤ Initially I thought the style of writing was to YA level for me until it wasn't. The storylines got to #adulting real quick! Some of the plot reminded me of how painful and exhausting it can be when trying to find a halfway decent Mr. Right! Several issues may trigger some trauma but overall, it was an enjoyable #audibooking experience. However, the narrator chosen was not yet skilled enough to depict the array of characters. Her voice/character transfers were not fluent and consistent IMO. With that said, I would recommend it. ❤ #TheManyDatesofIndigo #NetGalley

I only listened to the first 3-4 chapters. I couldn't get into it. I liked the narrator. The story seems fine. I can't figure out what's not calling to me. Maybe it's my mood. I don't know. I am going to give it a week and try again. Perhaps then I will get in further, and it will call to me.
