Every Missing Girl is a gripping and suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. The story follows FBI Special Agent Kendall Beck and Denver Homicide Detective Adam Taylor as they investigate a series of kidnappings and disappearances of young girls in Colorado. When Taylor's niece, Frankie, becomes the latest victim, the case becomes personal and urgent. Beck and Taylor must race against time to find Frankie and uncover the truth behind the missing girls and the dark secrets that haunt the Rocky Mountains.

The author, Leanne Kale Sparks, does a masterful job of creating a realistic and captivating plot that is full of twists and turns. The characters are well-developed and complex, each with their own backstory and motivation.

The narration by Erin DeWard is excellent, bringing the characters and the emotions to life. DeWard's voice is clear and expressive, and she switches between different accents and tones with ease.

Every Missing Girl is a must-read for fans of mystery and crime fiction, especially those who enjoy cold cases, serial killers, and strong female protagonists. It is the second book in the Kendall Beck Thriller series, but it can be read as a standalone. If you are looking for a thrilling and engaging read that will keep you guessing until the last page, you won't be disappointed by Every Missing Girl.

I did not read the first book, “The Wrong Woman,” but I think this one serves as a standalone. A lot of twists and turns happening and it ends without a cliffhanger - but it’s a punch straight to the gut! The author includes a lot of details, as with most books centered around crime.

Even though this was part of a series, I would consider it a standalone. I did not read book one and I'm not sure I will go back and find it. I enjoyed Every Missing Girl's storyline, but some of the dialogue and added details seemed unnecessary and repetitive at times. This was a good audiobook for my commute to and from work. I would consider looking into another Kendall Beck story or another book by Leanne Kale Sparks, but I won't go out of my way to search for them. Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and Leanne Kale Sparks for the opportunity to read Every Missing Girl in exchange for an honest review.

This one fell a bit flat for me. I had to DNF a quarter through. It felt very procedural and by the book, but I needed a bit more heart or interest in the characters to get invested.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Every Missing Girl is book two in the Kendall Beck series by Leanne Kale Sparks. I admit I didn’t read book one and now I absolutely have to go back and pick up book one. This was the first book I’ve read / listen to by this author and I’m truly looking forward to picking up more of her books. I did figure out pretty early on what was happening but it didn’t diminish my enjoyment of this book whatsoever. I’m looking forward to future installments in this series.

The audiobook narrator, Erin DeWard, did an amazingly awesome performance. The narration kept me invested throughout the book. A huge thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this gifted audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Mystery & Thrillers

This is a mystery's & thrillers dream come true. An amazing story filled with not only twists and turns but crime solving information that not only makes you feel like a detective yourself but brings the story full circle.

When there is a kidnapping of a detective's Neice takes place it becomes all hands-on deck, Agent Kendall Beck and Denver Homicide Detective Adam Taylor team up on the investigation. The book read like a movie, and I am a firm believer that a narrator can make or break a story, this one is a win.

This book is so full of twists along the way it kept my attention and kept me guessing right up until the end. What started as two stories that you wondered how they were connected came together in the most shocking way, and what an ending. I will fully admit some tears were shed during the final chapters as I was not expecting the ending at all.
I have really enjoyed these first two books with Kendall Beck and look forward to more to come hopefully in the future.

I'll tell you what, book one (The Wrong Woman) I enjoyed, but holy cow, this book WAS WILD! I loved the plot, I loved the added details of Kendall and Adam, and the real life knowledge you get about crime solving is so interesting! But NOTHING. Will. Compare. To that ENDING! I'm gob smacked! If you're a murder mystery fan, or a thriller lover, please go read this! I binged his audiobook in a day and I want to go relisten to it to see if I missed any clues, because I just couldn't take out my headphone listening to this!

Thank you to the author Leanne Kale Sparks, publishers Dreamscape Media, and as always NetGalley, for an advance audio copy of EVERY MISSING GIRL.

Kendall and Adam catch a missing persons case they both dread, since they know the parents, but not where to start. A seemingly unrelated crime a zipcode over, a shooting at a small grocery store robbery, comes to connect to their missing persons case and that's the least shocking thing that happens in this book.

With many mysteries, I often find the pace a bit too slow. But this is a mystery that moves like a thriller. Many of the twists are unexpected in nature also, which I feel always serves to propel this sort of story through its next leg. The characters are well drawn and play their parts well without being archetypal. Plenty of red herrings are on offer and it seemed that no character, at some point or another in the story, is above smelling fishy. I love this element. Suddenly, I find myself thinking, "the neighbor's sweet poodle is selling the wrestling team performance enhancing drugs?!" And actually believe it!

Please consider this my trigger warning for violence against children and women, child abuse, child intoxication, SA, child SA, child prostitution, human trafficking

I liked Erin DeWard as the reader of this audiobook. Good variation among characters and good emotional expression. She has a certain gravel to her voice that works well for crime genres.

A compelling mystery with unpredictable turns that moves fast-- definitely a fun read!

Totally predictable and forgettable thriller, that lacked both the thrills and shocking twist promised. This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a stand alone. Really wanted to like this for it's premise but alas it was a dud for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for a free audiobook copy, in return for an honest, unbiased review.

Great audiobook detective who done it! It was twisty and turny with many I didn’t see it coming! I hadn’t read the first book but I still feel like the story was easy enough to follow!

This turned out to be just another cop book for me, and I wasn't interested enough in either the characters or the plot to go forward. I'm trying hard not to read thrillers just to see how they end, so DNF. But if anyone wants to tell me how it ends...

FBI agent Kendall Beck has been called into a Colorado double homicide at a local gas station when a young girl has been found with the suspect. Her specialty is child abduction cases. She is partnering with local detective, and friend, Adam Taylor, to solve how the girl ended up in the store with this unknown man. While they are attending his niece's hockey game the young girl goes missing from the arena. Beck and Taylor immediately launch into a full blown investigation for the missing teen with a slew of suspects, including some very close to home. Will they be able to find the young girl before the worst can happen to her?

I enjoyed this detective mystery as it was not over the top and so farfetched from reality. Beck is a strong FBI agent but not a complete cookie cutter character with a chip on her shoulder and no respect from colleagues. My biggest gripe would be with Taylor. He is the missing girls uncle which I would assume would mean he would not be allowed to work the case but he is smack dab in the middle of it and mucking things up. He causes Beck more trouble than helping to solve the case. There are a lot of characters/suspects but it has a pretty strong ending. I had the audio version read by Erin DeWard. It took me a few chapters to get used to her style and didn't love the male voices but overall she did a solid job and would listen to more of her work.

This was my first ever audiobook and it has me hooked! The narrator was amazing but the story line was just WOW!

Detectives Beck and Taylor already have a very tough job, searching for the missing girls. But their new case hits closer to home when Taylor's niece goes missing. One by one, Beck and Taylor follow the leads. But the closer they get to the suspects, the more gruesome reality is waiting for them on the other side of the discovery.

Every Missing Girl is a dark thriller, it took me a few days to recover from it. But the reality is harsh and I liked the way Leanne Kale Sparks portrayed it in her latest novel. As much as I loved the characters and both detectives, their cases were hard to read about. Overall, great writing, a dark but gripping plot, and a very fascinating finale. Great read, would recommend it to all thriller lovers.

Thank you, NetGalley for a free and advanced copy of the novel in the exchange for my honest review.

Shocking ending!

I didn't read the first in the series and now I know I want to go back and do it despite the spoilers.

Every Missing Girl starts with a good thing happening. At a gas station, a kidnapped teenager is found alive and the kidnapper is dead. The bad part is that the store's cashier is murdered too.

FBI Special Agent Kendall Beck is called to the crime because her job is to find missing children. Denver Homicide Detective Adam Taylor is there because of the double murder and he needs to figure out what happened before a good samaritan killed the kidnapper.

Kendall and Adam had worked together before and they have a good rapport. Then while they are both at Adam's niece's hockey game, the unthinkable happens: Frankie is taken.

Adam and Kendall embarked on a mission to recuperate Frankie from whoever has her.

I figured out early on what was happening but it didn't diminish my interest at all. Both Adam and Kendall are great characters that I want to see again working together to solve a crime.

The narrator Erin DeWard did a great job keeping the action moving.

Cliffhanger: No

4/5 Fangs

What a captivating story! I felt like this was not your run of the mill police drama! I loved the family aspect of the case. I also loved the ending, even though it was heartbreaking.
