The town of Fantasie is adorable from the get go! There are so many characters that I want to know more about! Chloe and Lucas’ chemistry is so strong! I love how they fight it for so long, but when they give in, they give in completely. I need more of the DiMaggio men in my life!

Thank you to NetGalley and LK Publishing for allowing me to read and review this book before release.

I really enjoyed this book and really struggled to put it down. It had a lot of my favourite tropes, and a lot of fun characters.
The first half of the book did seem a little rushed and Chloe seemed to be too aggressive towards Lucas at first which made me a little uncomfortable with how desperately he pursued her.
Once we get into the story more and they’ve spent more time together and had a few deeper conversations I started to become more invested in the relationship.

A very enjoyable read, but please check for trigger warnings before reading as there are quite a few topics that could be triggering.

Thank you so much LK Publishing for the ARC of this book! I loved this book so much and really enjoyed every second of it! I loved the back and forth perspective and how the small town vibes made me feel. I instantly wanted to be a part of the DiMaggio/Donovan clan and eat yummy food with them. The book had loads of spice that was definitely on page but didn’t feel forced IMO.

I hope that we get to hear more from Josie and Finn soon cause i’m not done with Fantasie! This is my first Lily Kate book and definitely not my last.

Chloe stumbles upon the small town of Fantasie with her beat up food truck when she makes herself known in Lucas Donovan’s life by taking his personal parking spot. He is annoyed at first but is also immediately attracted to her. Chloe is determined not to take handouts, but the town of Fantasie takes her in and makes her feel like one of them. Lucas, specifically, takes an interest in making sure that she has everything that she needs.

I loved this story so much and the love and support that Lucas gave to Chloe right always was adorable. He truly cares about everyone in the town and wants to help anyone that he can. The spice and romance between the two is so good. I just love a good small-town romance.

Quick and charming story set in a quirky town in Maine. Chef Chloe has a dream of owning her own dessert taco truck and falls for sexy lawyer Lucas. While they don't exactly see eye to eye at the beginning, they can't stay away from each other. There is a great ensemble of supporting characters like new best friend flower farmer Josie (who has a mysterious relationship with the local sheriff - hopefully that story will be published!), Lucas's brother Noah, and a local psychic, among others. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more about the residents of Fantasie, Maine!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the preview copy!

This is a charming, small-town romance where opposites attract. It's a very cute, entertaining read that will bring a smile to readers' faces.

Chloe Brown quite literally rolls into the town of Fantasie, Maine where it comes to rest in the parking spot of Lucas Donovan. Her truck is a purple behemoth that will eventually be her taco truck, and Lucas Donovan is the hot but grumpy town lawyer and unofficial big brother and problem solver to all residents.

Chloe has landed in Fantasie on her way to...somewhere else, as she is escaping a sour situation in NYC involving her ex-boyfriend and ex-business enterprise. Chloe finds herself charmed by Fantasie and its quirky inhabitants, its natural beauty, and one tall and grumpy lawyer.

Both Lucas and Chloe have to face their incredible internal pressures: him to be the savior to everyone in Fantasie, putting himself last, and her to escape her disappointing and lonely past.

There is a DV subplot that could be triggering for some. It serves to highlight a part of Lucas' personality so I get why it's there.

The amusing background characters set us up for a fun return visit to Fantasie.

Thanks to NetGalley, Lily Kate, and Victory Editing for an ARC of this book.

This book was so cute! I love Chloe and Lucas. It’s a small town romance all about finding home and love.

They were a cute couple with a sweet story. Excited to see what happens with the rest of the DiMaggio’s and Donovan’s.

I was offered a free arc for my honest feedback.

Thank you to Lily Kate, LK Publishing and Net Galley for the opportunity to read this eARC. I was given this eARC in return for this honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fast paced, spicy, strangers to lovers romance. It is also dual POV. The premise of Chloe Brown leaving New York behind and travelling to Fantasie, Maine is understandable and she begins to learn that in the small town of Fantasie, everyone knows everyone else’s business. Lucas is also a massive grump on the outside but the softest person on the inside.

The writing was to my liking and the spicy scenes were placed in good positions throughout the story.

This would have been a 5 star book if they didn’t fall for each other instantly!

This book has Taco in the title so of course I had to read this one and see what it was all about. It is a dual POV which I absolutely love.

Taco Bout Love is based in a small town called Fantasie, where all your dreams come true.
Chloe Brown is looking to get as far away from NYC as possible and start fresh. She planned to only pass through Fantasie, but her newly acquired vehicle had other plans. While stuck in Fantasie, Chloe meets a lot of the residents, which includes grumpy Lucas Donovan. Mishaps happen and Chloe and Lucas end up learning about each other and becoming closer.

This book was very satisfying. It has that charming small town vibe, where everyone knows everyone. The families involved made me crack up with their banter, it reminded me of my own. The only issue I had was the ending, it wasn’t my favorite and I felt like that conflict was just kind of thrown in there. Other than that I really enjoyed Lily Kate’s writing and would read another one of her books.

I definitely recommend this one if you like small town romances, grumpy-sunshine, rom-coms, enemies to lovers trope. Please also check trigger warnings as there are some discussions in this book that could be triggering.

Thank you to LK Publishing and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Overall: 4

It's got all the charm of a cute small town romcom, but with that added slow burn spice.
Chloe is leaving new York for a fresh start - runs into lucas - the usual romcom fun ensues.
This is cute, it's witty, there's a food truck, duel POV. Lucas is a big old cinnamon role softie but with a tough exterier
It's somewhere between grumpy and sunshine trope and enemies to lovers trope.
My only downside is they fell for each other too fast.
But otherwise I loved it. Its bright, cheery and exactly what's needed from a slightly spicy romcom

I totally fell in love with these characters and story.  Taco Bout Love is a funny, charming, intense book. It follows Chloe as she leaves her New York life behind to pursue her own dreams, opening her own dessert taco truck.
Lucas is a small town lawyer who happens to run into Chloe on her first day in his quaint town while she's staying at his mother's inn.
These two are hilarious together with their witty banter and not so secret looks.
I really enjoyed this face paced, spicy and at times dangerous story.  I look forward to reading more from this new to me author.
5 stars.

Thank you to netgalley and Lily Kate for an advanced reader copy of Taco Bout Love.

What a super cute romance book. Good story and good spice without it being too much.

I’m still not sure why the dessert taco truck is called taco bout love.. but I guess that’s not a sticking point.

I still have questions about the ending but I’m hoping for more books with answers to those questions!

Overall, a quick but cute read with just the right amount of spicy 🌶️

Ok, let’s Taco Bout Love. This book was a 4/5 star read for me. Taco Bout Love is based in a small town called Fantasie, where all your dreams come true. Chloe Brown, our protagonist, only planned to stay for maybe a few weeks but did not plan to fall in love with the town grump Lucas Donovan.

Lucas is an absolute softie when it comes to people he loves and cares about. On the outside, he may look like a complete grump, but he’s really not. Chloe Brown is an outgoing, bubbly girl who would stand up for anything she thinks is wrong and will do what’s right. Lucas Donovan is so spicy oh my god.

This book was a 4/5 star read for me because I felt like the beginning of the book was kind of rushed. However, for Lucas, it was like love at first sight. From beginning to end, the tension between the two was astronomical. It was a kind of enemies to lovers to friends kind of trope, but also grump x sunshine which was adorable. Definitely, a meet ugly, which made me giggle a little with how much Lucas had already had the hots for Chloe the moment he saw her. Definitely, an easy read, if you wanna get out of a reading slump.

Definitely go and preorder this book! I’d like to thank NetGalley for giving me this ARC.

Mmm I swithered over 3 or 4 stars for this. The start felt a bit clumsy but it definitely got better. Some things bothered me - the fmc being a chef in New York but wearing heels and dresses (no), the mmc going from looking for a fling with random women from another town to falling head over heels in love extremely quickly… I liked the drama with Lucas’s work as a lawyer though and the small town romance vibes were great. I found myself looking forward to hopefully reading books focused on the other characters.

What a fun read! I absolutely enjoyed this book and am so excited to hear that there will be more to hear from the endearing town of Fantasie! I definitely need a Finn and Josie follow up!

This was sweet!
Perhaps a bit too insta-love for my liking, but I enjoyed the story regardless. This was a sweet story about loving people for who they are and finding “your person”. I LOVE book small towns, a Fantasie, ME was absolutely precious! While there WAS a lot going on in this book, I generally enjoyed Lucas and Chloe’s story. It was heartwarming, swoony, and just generally cute!

Taco Bout Love is a spicy rom com with family, community, and great food. Chloe rolls into town (literally) in her big, purple truck and meets several people before almost breaking down in a parking spaced reserved for Lucas. Lucas is not please but is fascinated by Chloe. What follows is lots of banter and attraction.

I loved this book! I love it when an author can pull off that witty banter between the two main characters. Sometimes in book that will fall flat, but NOT in this book. I also loved the feeling of community and family. I wanted to be a part of Fantasie and the DiMaggio family. The loyalty and love runs deep. That was shown through strong writing.

Thanks to NetGalley and LK Publishing for this ARC for this ARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I mean, with a blurb that brilliant, how could I not want to read it!? This book could have been really corny or a hidden gem, and I was delighted to find that it was the latter.

Chloe Brown leaves NYC in search of a fresh start and bumbles into the small town of Fantasie with her purple truck and big dreams of opening her dessert business, Taco Bout Love. Lucas Donovan is the town lawyer, token family man, and all around good guy whose spot Chloe parks in. And the rest is history.

This book satisfied me on so many levels... Wholesome small town vibes? Check. Grumpy hero with a heart of gold? Check. An adorably raucous family full of an unfair number of hot dudes? Check. Humor that doesn't take itself too seriously? Check. Making a living by way of delicious food and beautiful flowers? Check. This was my first Lily Kate novel and it won't be my last! I look forward to reading more from this author, and I would love to see more stories from the DiMaggio/Donovan clan.

Thank you to LK Publishing and NetGalley for gifting me with an ARC to review! I loved it!

This light rom-com was told from the perspectives of both Chloe and Lucas, something most rom-coms don't always do. It was a quick read, definitely lighthearted (although there are mentions of DV for anyone who may be triggered by that topic). It was a slow burn type of book, but it's devourable in one day. The steamy parts were enjoyable and overall this was a cute, well-written book. It was a little predictable & but overall I really enjoyed it.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Taco Bout Love to come out February 14, 2023!

Taco Bout Love by Lily Kate takes place in Fantasie, Maine, where Chloe finds herself after leaving NYC and a toxic relationship for a fresh start with her food truck. She starts off on the wrong foot with Lucas, the only lawyer in town, but as the book evolves, you find the two main characters learning more about one another. While Lucas was all in from the beginning, it takes Chloe some time to warm up to him. The book had a great balance of spice, too!

I loved the alternating narrative of Lucas and Chloe. It allowed the reader to watch their story unfold by hearing from each main character. I also loved the town of Fantasie and the other charming characters. They were so lovable and I really liked the close knit community.

Overall, this was a sweet and funny book. It was a bit of a slow burn for me, but I did enjoy it and would recommend it to anyone who loves romantic comedies!

Thank you NetGalley, LK Publishing and Lily Kate for this ARC!
